OOC: I'm going to take a bit of a break. It could be a couple of days, it could be months, maybe even a few years. My mental health is declining and I really don't think being on social media is helping. I'm going to try to stay off my phone until I've fixed my sleep schedule, my mental health is better, I've been eating 3 meals a day (INCLUDING breakfast) and remembered to brush my teeth every day and take my meds. It'll probably take a while to do all that.

Also, I've come to realise that my usage of social media is very unhealthy and is possibly an addiction. I've spent whole days and nights just looking at my phone with very few breaks and literally feel the urge to check it as soon as I put it down- last night I said to myself I'd go to sleep, and then I just opened up Tumblr again and stayed on it for hours. As I'm speaking, it is 2:11AM. This is not good for my mental health; I haven't been sleeping much at all. So please, if you see me posting or commenting or otherwise interacting with anything, remind me that I'm not meant to be on social media. Be brutal if you need to.

Prelims: I don't want there to be too many characters, so any characters that aren't hated by the majority of the voters will not be inckuded.

The least hated characters from the prelims (who are still hated by the majority) will go face to face. The winner goes up against a slightly more hated character. And it goes on and on until there is only one character left.

If they're not from Earth and so can't really be banished from Earth, they are made into an honorary citizen and then their honorary citizenship is taken away.

I know this blog has been getting a lot more serious and off-topic at the moment, and I'm sorry for that, but this is something that needs to be talked about.

Those 'reblog if you promise not to self-harm/kill yourself' posts and the like generally don't help. They might help some people, and that's great, but not everyone. Speaking from experience myself, whenever I saw or see these kinds of posts, I don't think 'huh, guess I won't attempt.' Instead, if I do attempt, I feel dirty and wrong. I feel like a liar for breaking a promise. I'm sure there's lots of people who feel like that.

So instead of making those kinds of posts, tell people you care. Remind them of how beautiful the world is. Ask them if they want to see the sunset again, or see the night sky. Make plans to meet up with them and hang out. Be a friend.

In summary, if someone is feeling suicidal or self-harms, show them you care instead of making them promise not to hurt themselves, because if you do the latter then chances are they'll feel even worse if they do try to hurt themselves.

I know this doesn't fit with the 'theme' of this blog, but I don't care. You never know what someone's going through, and there's always a chance that they'll take messages like these to heart and actually commit suicide. NEVER TELL SOMEONE TO COMMIT SUICIDE, EVEN AS A JOKE.

About a week ago I posted this.

I’ve been getting horrible messages like this in my ask for months, including:

After getting the message saying “Just go kill yourself” I was completely done dealing with this person’s horrible messages and replied with just an “Okay.” and logged off tumblr.

About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like

I scrolled up more and all of a sudden they started sending me more and more messages like

This was extremely surprising to me. I thought “After all those horrible messages you sent to me for MONTHS about hating me and wanting me dead, you say ‘sorry’ and that you ‘cant be responsible for someone’s suicide’?”

But I guess the lesson goes like this:

DONT TELL ANYONE TO KILL THEMSELVES UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN
