It's taking me forever to finish this, and I blame it all on his hair. It's so unnecessarily layered hhhh

Initially, I wanted to make his outfit as close to the canon design as possible, but now I'm thinking that baggier clothes might suit his personality better. They give off a more youthful, outgoing vibe. I'm not sure if it's the right choice though. I ran a poll on other social platforms, and the responses were mixed. Now I'm curious to know what folks on Tumblr think ✧(•ᴗ•,, )

I still need to finish a few accessories and small details, and then it'll be time for retopology (ugh...)

hi! i can chip in some input with the vrchat stuff

you dont need a vr headset to test the avatars since the game has a desktop mode (+ you could also test the avatar in unity using the "gesture manager" package that comes with the VRC creator companion). I'd recommend having a nosy at Sippbox or Kokou's tutorials, they're miles more straightforward than most videos on avatar creation

the avatar ripping is unfortunately an inevitability, since the vrca file is cached temporarily on the user's pc. afaik most instances of avatar ripping are usually with the more popular anime styled ones compared to fandom oriented ones, so chances are you'll still be fine

hope this clears some stuff up ! would def be interested in seeing them as full on avatars, love ur modelling style !

Heya! I was honestly expecting people would lean more towards the low-poly mouthwashing avatars, rather than a fan-made one. It was a nice surprise to see otherwise! I'm also relieved to know I don’t need a VR headset to test the avatars, and I’ll definitely check out those tutorials you recommended, thanks so much!

As for avatar ripping, I kind of anticipated it was inevitable, like posting art online and hoping no one traces it or feeds it to AI. But I recently found a few Unity scripts that can scramble the data, so if someone does rip the avatar, they’ll get a scrambled version. That’s definitely eased my mind a bit.

Here I am again, drawing over my 3D model to make the hair look just right. I'm super happy that so many people like my Anya model! it’s given me so much motivation to finish sculpting the rest of the crew

A bunch of folks have asked if I’d turn these into VRChat avatars, and I’m definitely open to the idea! The only problem is, I don’t even own a VR headset so I can’t test them out myself, and I’m not super familiar with how VRChat avatars work. Plus, I’ve heard there’s a big issue with ripping models from the game, which kinda makes me hesitant to do it. I’m not worried about charging for the models or anything, but I am concerned people might just steal my stuff and mash it together with other avatars.

So yeah, if anyone has experience with this kind of thing, I’d love some input! (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

Oh, the choices...

I'm kinda stuck between modeling the rest of the crew or working on personal projects. Anya was just sculpting practice, honestly. I made her to distract myself from college. I spent 3 years in game design and now feel like none of my work is good enough for a game portfolio. So, do I start cranking out professional, game-ready models ASAP, or keep making small models like Anya to quickly fill up my 3D portfolio? 🤔 Next up would be Daisuke tho! I really love how the devs made him a reference to Ryosuke Kawashima, kinda like how Anya is based on Shelley Duvall. Anyway, I’ll figure something out!

I find that drawing over my models helps me spot mistakes more easily. Plus, she’s looking really pretty already!

I don’t usually share unfinished work (despite what my username might suggest), but I do try to keep my sketches clean. Still, I wanted to share this because, honestly, I just love making 3D models. Hope you guys like it as well ^^

Thank you, kind Anon! I’ve noticed the lack of fanfics and artwork about his mutation too, especially it's consequences. I might be here to change that, hehe

Well... it's been a while, hasn’t it? *checks calendar* Oh, Quite a while, actually! 2019 feels like it was just yesterday.

I suddenly remembered I had this blog thanks to us Brazilians getting officially kicked off the blue bird site, or as I like to call it, Xuitter. So, looking back at some of my old drawings has been... a experience.

My first post here was back in 2016, when I was 14 akjsdhakjsdha Now I’m 22, and honestly, I’m not sure how to feel about those old drawings, sksk

I thought about scrapping everything and starting fresh, but... I think It's woth keeping these old memories alive, even if some of them make me cringe a little.

Anyway, since starting college, I haven’t had much time to draw or finish any of my paintings, so I haven’t posted anything in years. I’ve been focusing more on 3D modeling, though I’m not sure Tumblr is the best place for that. I’ll probably just stick to posting sketches.

I’ll be dumping some of my old sketches, and maybe some new ones too. There was a time when I was obsessed with Identity V and Bendy. It’s one of those hyperfixations that comes and goes. Sometimes I just feel like sketching something quick, my little contribution to the fandom.

Not sure if this post will reach anyone, this blog’s been pretty much dead for a good five years. I just saw some asks from 2019 that I never got around to answering (sorry to those I unintentionally ignored!). But yeah, I’ll try to post some stuff again. Hope you all like it too.
