I would have some cat keep an eye on Squirrelflight... If both Ashfur and Brambleclaw are causing issues for you, it's possible they could go after her in retaliation. Or try to turn her against you. Although I doubt she would ever do that. You guys are too close

So, about the Gathering.. how did the other Clans react to Leafpool becoming leader?

This is not coming from a place of mockery or anything of the such Star Leafpool, but is there reason you can't step down? Like, I understand the situation with Ashfur and Brambleclaw, but what if the Clan were to appoint Brackenfur or another cat as Leader. As an herbalist who became leader, I imagine you would still have influence enough in the Clan to sway them. I mean, I know Brightheart, your current deputy, probably wouldn't want Ashfur or Brambleclaw in power for a start. Again, asking simply out of curiosity, I'm not judging you or mocking you at all for not considering or doing this.
