"your favourite Superman is whoever was Superman when you were a kid/teenager" WRONG some of us were victimised by Snyder and his horrendous casting and directing and we finally get our favourite Superman at 29 years old with David Corenswet (it's me i'm some of us)

I get the door being open for S2 (scheduled rain dance to bring it to fruition next week, guys, bring a friend).
But IDK, the ep was such a banger and they just kinda drop Sun and Peace off like kthanxbai after the huge truth bomb. I get Peace not wanting to be a part of it, but Sun *is* a part of it. Loving him means being part of that world in some capacity. And for all he struggled, Peace had a streak in him that made it clear that there was something in him that his father saw and wanted to nurture.
It feels like Sun paid the highest cost and for what? I know that S2 would explore that but what if it doesn't happen? He's just there with this noose around his neck in the form of the Lobbyists?
I HAVE QUESTIONS.

I'm glad it wasn't just me. The shirt touch had me about to gag (derogatory).
Anyone else get incestuous vibes from Thiwthit's flashback with his brother? Those vibes felt icky.

What I don't get is if Armin isn't popular yet HOW does Thada have all these photo books?
Cue rambly stream of consciousness.
I feel sad because as all this shit is dropping, you realize how utterly alone Armin was. His partner and his friend were cheating hoe bags, his "friends" were trying to off him; this man had no one and he didn't even realize it. This was just what success looked like.
Thada literally tripped out of a romance novel to the nth degree because it highlights perfectly how bad Armin's previous life had gotten.
Who wouldn't love a second chance to be happy and rid the world of bitchy queens? Love that for him. But you know what's sus. Thada having flashes of their previous life. Not sus in a bad way. In a this seems like a crumb to something bigger way. Maybe a second chance doesn't exist and Armin wakes up in his 40-something body, the end. IDK. IDK. But there's something in the simplicity of love being the story when it's done well. I love cougar Armin getting himself a lovestruck toyboy. You deserve it, babe.

the whole "lipstick on a pig" thing makes no sense because the second we gave a pig access to makeup she became god's cuntiest soldier

Walter Benjamin scratching my brain like, "The only way of knowing a person is to love them without hope."
It doesn't mean the exact same as intended in this context, but on a superficial level, it's them in a teacup.
Armin loved TD in a way without ever knowing that he was Thada, but he knew the very core of what makes Thada, Thada, and Thada loved Armin simply by knowing him. That's why the universe gave them a second chance. They loved without hope and now they can be together. It feels like a reward, fate, or bonded souls.
Do I think that's the end of the story? No, they must suffer, but the message is clear. Their selfless love will save them in the long run.

What if...it's a circle? Armin "dies" again and becomes young Armin, who doesn't know TD, and young Thada has to live his life so that he can meet Armin at the right time and he remembers him?

I really love that Armin and Thada fit into each other's worlds. Armin holds his own as Thada's partner and Thada shows him off proudly to people.

I think Thada is responsible for the reset. IDK how, but he's a man with a ton of money and there is no way he was gonna let Armin die.
There are also moments where I get a vibe from Thada. I think his memories are dormant, but you see these peeps of Thada in his 40s, who just has this...power about him that young Thada doesn't have.

They're giving me cuteness aggression. They're so stupidly romantic and romancing each other.
I can't explain how much I love it. It's so perfectly balanced. Thada reminds me of a fairytale prince in the best way, and I love him.

@slayerkitty Further to our discussion, they do "design and innovation." But also they rich rich.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So we still know jack shit about what they design but they make enough coin to be billionaires and employ people to write such wanky copy for them.

@slayerkitty I suppose it depends on how you rank murder versus HR violations.

I don't think Sun should forgive Peace.
I think he was hurt too fundamentally to truly forgive in a way that doesn't mean giving up on avenging his father.
Like, I think Sun could do it. He loves Peace and, in that respect, it makes sense, but the injustice and burning rage for what happened can't be denied. Love doesn't save all.
Also, because I want a second series, let's not concede to an easy end. Both of them have hurt and been hurt, and them being parted because of the pain Peace caused feels delicious. His father ruined many things and may have played a huge part in denying his son a happy ending, but the truth of it is when Peace hid it, he killed the only hope he had.

Okay, so now, take this whole cast, put them in something not insane, preferably mafia, and watch them go.
