The most dangerous weapon in the Remnant Knights and their successors arsenal is not a bolter, not a plasma gun, not a heavy bolter or anything like that, it's their sword and shield:

Remnant Knights and their successors never shun the Lamenters, always come to their aid when they need it, one of the very very few chapters that are allowed to enter the Remnant sector for supplies and repair.

When I was doing the AU, it became more and more different from RWBY so I decided to make its own thing
Here is a question for
sons of Salem Au
Since they are success of dark Angel or so
What do they think or react of lion el Jonson returning is big deal with dark Angel
what about sons of salem once they meet there primarch lingerie
Ah sorry mate, the sons of Salem are pretty much their own thing within the lore of 40k with no connection to RWBY, decided to make their own chapter. But their lineage is the Dark Angels but hold no allegiance to the Lion or Imperium, made them renegade primaris

Note
Do the remnant knight have different helmet colors for different ranks or shoulders, etc etc
Different helmet designs based upon the ancient Knights of Vale during its "Medieval Age" primarily those of the Arc lineage.

Would the Shadow Reapers work with Eldar to kill there dark counter parts if it ment killing more than if it was just them
It would a delicate situation, see the Shadow Reapers absolutely blame the Eldar for the Dark Eldar existence and know some Eldar work with the Dark Eldar. However they dont go out of their way to attack them either, there are times when Shadow Reapers come upon Eldar soul stones in dark eldar raids, giving them to craftworlds they come upon in their travels in space. The only Eldar the shadow Reapers actually somewhat respecf are the Harlequins, for some odd reason, a specific Troupe has been offering information of Dark Eldar raids and fleets in realspace, and while the Shadow Reapers would have taken the offer its what the Harlequins want that makes them stop, as they want all information on the Primarch, Jaune.

"In my dreams, I saw him. I saw the primarch, he came back in a blinding light that scared away the darkness. But this not all..."
"What else did you see?"
"I saw the other chapters, the ones from his blood, discarding their colors and banners. Burning them, but it was not out of malice or dishonor. No. It was if it was a funeral pyre. Then I understood, I saw so much carnage and blood. War had come our home, and when all had seemed lost, when hopelessness and despair began to take hold. He came. And with him I saw the 11th Legion made whole once more. In our hour of need, he will return to us with a reborn legion..."

To add more to the last ask, Jaune did establish a small kingdom but nothing too large ensuring the civilian worlds are close to evacuate back behind the cosmic cloud that protects the Remnant System. Each of the civilian planets are governed by a representative of a chosen chapter as Jaune never trusted regular human governors due to what he seen and experienced on multiple worlds as well as Remnant

With the Remnant's Final Shield Protocol, gives me the idea that the Remnant Knights' successor chapters homeworlds are close by leading to them having a mini empire. If we make guess that the Remnant Knights create lets say 5 new chapters pre-founding minus the 21st that would mean that after the 2nd founding they would have created 125 Chapters... Granted some of them can easily have been wiped off during a war, lost in the Warp or simply fell to corruption.
Even so, there is a chance that by the 42nd Millennium, they should have a mini empire that rivals Realm of Ultramar, Lion's Protectorate and Medusan Reach... This is possible to for the Remnant Knights to have they're own Empire if Guilliman or the Inquisition goes to far.
So the Successors of the Remnant Knights are all fleet based, this so they don't have multiple chapter worlds that they have loyalty towards, only Remnant is their true homeworld regardless what planet they are taken from. But Remnant is Kinda like what you're describing due to them needing more worlds for their growing population and minerals needed from worlds as well as agriworlds for food. However settlement was very constrained as Jaune saw how spread thin the likes of Ultramar was when the Heresy happened. So they never spread past their sub sector which is about 50 planets. Even then only 20 of those planets are settlements and located near the Remnant system as a means to defend easily, even mass evacuate them if the need arises.
While the rest are agriworlds, factory worlds, mining worlds, etc. Most of these are manner by the atlesian Knights disguised as workers/farmers with a small bastion of regular Remnant Guard.

Every chapter/legion has their dark secrets so here are the Remnant Knights
The Remnant Knights unleashed sorcery altered Grimm upon the wider galaxy during the heresy. These strains, altered by Sorcery, could survive off Remnant due to the link between Salem and Remnant being cut off at the cost of them being uncontrollable and far more aggressive
It's a shame upon the Remnant Knights and one they can't truly rectify due to the fact that the Traitors got their hands on Many of the strains and use them for battle, spreading the Grimm more. Fabius Bile chief among them, creating more strains that are far more Lethal.
It's a dark secret as the official reason that Grimm are found elsewhere is because of the Traitors took them off world before their betrayal as a means to help eradicate them but used them for war against Humanity on a galactic scale instead.
There is no death penalty perse on Remnant. When someone is convicted of a heinous crime they are judged not to be of worthy of the life and thus, to the public are executed but in truth are handed to the chapters to turn into servitors.
The Remant Knights have a list of chapters they deemed "unworthy" of being Space Marines examples being Marines Malevolent, Minotaurs, the Carcharadons, Flesh Tearers, Death Spectres and many others. Said list is accessed by all Remnant Knight successor chapters and are tasked with assassinating as many of these space marines as possible during battles.
Currently 2 chapters have been wiped out, records say they were wiped out in the black crusades, in truth they were wiped by the successor chapters, a secret that will ensure never knows the light of day.
The Remnant Knights have developed a type of chemical agent that targets the unique biology of Space Marines, it's kept deep in their fortress monastery on Remnant, to be used should they be invaded by either the Imperium, chaos or worst, themselves should turn against their people.
A successor chapter did turn to chaos, they fell to Khorne and the Remnant Knights themselves put them to the sword. It's a secret they ensure is never known.
Even though they were ordered long ago to stop the production of the Atlesians Knights and Paladins, Jaune had them secretly continued to bolster the defenses of Remnant. The Knights and Palandins are standard issue in each fleet of the chapters that only a chapter master can activate should they need to.
Remnant's Final shield protocol is much like Imperial Fist's Last Wall protocal except all chapters will abandoned the Imperium to form the Legion once more to defend their homeworld. It's a contigency only two people can activate, The Remnant Knights chapter master Arael or Jaune himself. If Jaune were to activate it, a special kind of symbol activates as well to let the successors know it's their father calling them home.

Nora: Weiss, do me a favor *handing her an apple* Can you peel this apple for me?
Weiss: NO...no! I'm not gonna peel an apple for you!
Nora: But Jaune always does it for me?
Weiss: Why does Jaune peel your apples for you?!
Nora: He doesn't like for me to eat the apples with skin on it, he says the skins are loaded with toxins!
Weiss: Well good news, Jaune isn't here.
Nora: I know he isn't here, that's why I need you to do it for me. Please! Please!
Weiss: *pinches the bridge of her nose* Oh my brothers, just eat it with skin on it.
Nora: I don't like it with skin on it Weiss! I'm now allowed eat it with skin! IM NOT ALLOWED!
Weiss: OH MY GOD ALRIGHT! If you calm down and SHUT UP, I will peel the apple for you, THE WAY JAUNE LIKES YOU TO EAT IT! Give it to me *snatches apple* GIVE IT TO ME! I'll do it the way Jaune insists, OKAY??
Nora: Yay!

since the iron dragons eat xeno's, they should make a hobby out of it. Imagine them cooking various Xeno species, specifically Orks and all their subspecies and it sell to other space Marines. Lastly, Ork Burger.
I came to realize something that while through what I wrote, it's humorous and pretty funny to think about
buuttt...it's the grimdark setting and when Iron Dragons are on the move, they attack to maim/injure the xenos. Because they won't trust a corpse as they don't know how long the battle will be or what will begin to flourish on said body, so they precisely injure a good amount they will need as they can then scour the battlefield once its over for all the survivors. To basically begin the butchering process to restock...

When members of the legion start losing their minds and hearing the cries of the innocent, are they gathered together into a special company akin to the Blood Angels when the Black Rage starts to set in? Or alternatively, retired from active military service in order to become a special disaster relief group?
Or are they just taken out and shot, because they're simply too dangerous to leave alive?
Stasis if possible. I've been tweaking that lore, they will do what they can to put their afflicted brothers into stasis as they work to find a cure of sorts to it. Many within the chapter firmly believe that their Primarch's return is the key to saving their battle brothers, but it's only a theory. For now, they are put into stasis deep in the Arc castle/fortress monastery.

It's mostly author interpretation at this point but I was going my height for the Primarchs in this AU based off this image of the Emperor on his throne, dude those humans barely reach his knee! So yeah ahah the primarchs and Jaune are big dudes lol
Tumblr media
Friendly reminder that in the Primarch AU jaune is like 13 feet tall at an his full Primarch height, he grew slowly but by the time he reach his 20s he was at his fully height, he's big but a bit shorter than most primarchs
