Quiet beauty is crazy. I just passed by a young man who looks like any other ordinary person you see walking on the street. I only saw him for 3 seconds, but I feel struck to my core hahah. He has thick black eyelashes that point towards his well-drawn eyebrows, his eyes are narrow but offer the smallest glimpse of mischief, and his nose and lips get lost, begging to be dug out in the fierce upper features of his face.

Semester 2 down and I got a 95/100 on my anthropology test, top of the class (mmm academic validation how flavorful)

There's something so horrifying about the heartbreak in Sufjan Stevens' voice when he sings the following lines during his song "Saturn" :

"Tell me I'm evil,

Tell me I'm not the face of love

Tell me I'm evil

Tell me I'm not the face of God"

To be promised that we were made in God's image and then see the horror unfold everyday in your life in war, hate, the way everyone generally refuses to act decently with strangers because of how dangerous that unknown person might be.

And our capacity to be evil like it's an inherent trait, like a light switch you turn on and off.

If we were truly made in God's image, can God be as cruel and ugly as the human mind?

Late, super late update

I recently started working at a store in a mall, and I've only been attending my lectures on Mondays and Fridays. I work 6 hours per day, amounting to 36 hours a week with a day off, and on weekdays I can study a tiny bit while at work.

Uni stuff :

Freudian Psychoanalysis is going to be the end of me. I hate psychoanalysis as it is, but Freud's theories are just so ridiculous from today's scientific psychological perspective and it makes studying the course so hard! My finals start the 20th of nexy month, and I am honestly not looking forward to that. However I still want to be done with it.

Music

This year is elite in terms of music. Taylor's album and Billie's are exquisite. We also got the new St. Vincent record, Ariana, Beyoncé, and I'm super excited for Lorde and (hopefully) Grimes.

Okay that's basically it. Will try to be more active. Also publicly asking for news from you (hope you're reading this, and if you are, you are loved) @s-u-f-j-a-n-s-t-e-v-e-n-s

A general update

Hey there!

Sorry for not checking in more often. I'm currently on spring break, the second semester hasn't felt real as of yet, haha. I'm studying biweekly to keep up with most of my courses, but I should do so more often.

I've also started reading The Odyssey by Homer. Good stuff, good stuff.

That's life for now. I'll log in more often. <3 ttyl
