It takes five days "AT MOST" by foot to get to Yunmeng from Mount Muxi (where WWX and LWJ were trapped with the Xuanwu of Slaughter) - so a round trip of 7-10 days by foot is most likely the norm, as the text clearly suggests...

If you're trying to "show us" JFM "hates JC and prefers WWX" then I think the above CLEARLY shows otherwise. JFM might not have been able to show the extent of his love for his son - but it's more than fucking clear of the pecking order here... JC gets a stroke of the head and told to be well. WWX is literally an afterthought, and only because he spoke up. Even then all JFM can say to him is an order to look after HIS son.

Jiang Cheng is never directly depicted onscreen hunting down and torturing any demonic cultivators. All descriptions of him doing so are rumors and/or secondhand accounts.
