Franklin Wright — A Playlist

I proudly present to you all a playlist for one of our Hogwarts Legacy MCs, Franklin Wright. Hopefully this will allow for a better understanding of his energy as a person and how he acts in the story. Until we create more writings about the way he and Edith interact with the world and other characters around them, this is a perfect way to introduce him. We will be making a playlist for Edith Irving soon, as well as others for the different characters in HL if you all so desire... thank you. :^)

Edith Irving Fan Cast — Pier Angeli

"We've come all this way, we might as well see it to the end."

Edith Irving, seventeen in 1892, is in her final year at Hogwarts. Edith was born as one of the middle children in a long list of nine sisters. She was completely Muggleborn, giving her parents quite a fright when she was able to stop a glass jar from falling on her younger sister’s head. Because her magical abilities hadn’t shown themselves until later in life (and her family hadn’t the money or trust to send her to a new school), Edith was admitted to Hogwarts as a fifth year and was expected to catch up to her peers quickly. 

Edith is a compassionate young lady who wears her heart on her sleeve, always enjoying the company of her loved ones and making an effort to keep everyone included. She grew attached to the boy admitted as a fifth year the same time as her, Franklin Wright, and since then they have been inseparable. Although she is a Ravenclaw and shows enough poise and brilliance to be such, Edith prides herself on just how hard she’s worked to be where she is today with her classes and exams. Her determination can be seen in how much she puts into her studies, as well as the effort she places into other extracurriculars she values, such as music, art, knitting, Quidditch, and many other activities. 

After many series of events involving the discovery of ancient magic, the defeating of Ranrok/Rookwood’s dastardly group of dark wizards, and the turmoil involving old companions that they all no longer associate with, Edith admits that she is sad to leave Hogwarts after such a short time, but she is thrilled to get into the real world of magic. Although she hasn’t a clue what she is going to pursue as a career later in life, Edith is sure whatever she chooses will prove to be successful and enjoyable so long as she has people she cares about in her life.

Natsai Onai Fan Cast — Danai Gurira

“I believe your friendship to be one of the most important in my life.”

Natsai Onai, seventeen in 1892, is in her final year at Hogwarts. Natsai has gone through much development throughout her time in Hogwarts. After transferring from Uagadou it was difficult to get accustomed to all the changes in a new country, but throughout her time in school and enduring many challenges, she’s successfully made it to the end of her academic career.

Natsai has always been considered a bright student, being very successful in all her classes and scoring highly on her N.E.W.Ts. Although she isn’t sure what specific field of magic she’s going into, any career she chooses is sure to treat her well in the future.

Franklin "Frankie" Wright Fan Cast — Patrick Dempsey

"No."

Franklin Wright, eighteen in 1892, is in his final year at Hogwarts. Franklin was born to two former Hogwarts students from an affair using Amortentia. He was adopted by Ugandan parents, and once he was of age he was sent to Uagadou to begin his studies of wizardry and magic. In the middle of his fourth year, after finding himself with a trouble-inducing crowd, Franklin was expelled from the school. Leaving his parents with no other choice, they moved back to Scotland, and Franklin transferred to Hogwarts soon thereafter. 

Frankie is a quiet yet passionate spirit, allowing new friends to find him in the most unlikeliest of circumstances. He barely talks to those he most enjoys the company of, and does not speak to strangers. He does exactly what his heart and mind tell him to do, following the path that he thinks is correct no matter what others may think of him. This silent confidence and truthfulness in everything he does is something many of his loved ones hope stays with him, as it is what makes Frankie himself. 

After many series of events involving the discovery of ancient magic, the defeating of Ranrok/Rookwood’s dastardly group of dark wizards, and the turmoil involving old companions that they all no longer associate with, Franklin is ready to graduate from Hogwarts and pursue a future in potion making along with possible freelance work for the school. His high scores in academics prove he is an incredibly bright student, and the professors believe such smarts will lead him to have a very bright career in whatever he may go into.

Poppy Sweeting Fan Cast — Judy Garland

“Although, I am beginning to see the appeal of human friends.”

Poppy Sweeting, seventeen in 1892, is in her final year at Hogwarts. Befriending many in her last few years in school, Poppy has opened up much more than she ever had and enjoys the company of those she cares about. Although she’s sad to leave a place with such fond memories, she’s excited to see what the next chapter of her life as a witch holds.

Poppy’s future is exceedingly bright, with a career in magizoology on the horizon. The magical creatures of the wizarding world has always been a passion of hers, and after being supported by her friends, she’s ready to do more in the field and discover more than anyone before her has.

Ominis Gaunt Fan Cast — Alain Delon

“Whatever lies ahead, we must face it together.”

Ominis Gaunt, eighteen in 1892, is in his final year at Hogwarts. There had been many changes and shocking truths that hit Ominis over the past few years, but he’s prepared to graduate from school and begin his proper future as a wizard.

After being held down by the esteemed Gaunt family all his life, those he surrounded himself with during his time in school allowed him to realize just how much he’s capable of outside of the fate his family assigned him to. No matter what the future has in store, he is ready to experience it head on, no longer scared of what lies ahead.

Sebastian Sallow Fan Cast — Lorenzo Zurzolo

“A spell that can save your life shouldn’t be unforgivable.”

Sebastian Sallow, seventeen in 1892, is in his final year at Hogwarts. After killing his own uncle in cold blood, his companions had slowly begun to distance themselves from him and his fascination with the dark arts.

His future is clouded with indecision and pain, but that won’t stop him from graduating from the wizarding school with flying colors, all to prove himself to those he once casted out.
