Kill Six Billion Demons is such an interesting story. It's a western comic that's very heavily based in Buddhist/Hindu mythology, and the villains are mostly based off of Christian mythology. It's narrative is about the strength of people and community to overcome evil, with interesting things to say about power and freedom. There's a magical girl gender transition. A main character writes Yuri fanfiction about the protagonist. There's a Dragonball style Fusion of several main characters. The strongest fighters in the universe are women. It's an allegory for capitalism. It's a tragedy about the lust for power corrupting rightous intentions. It has some of the most beautiful art I've ever seen. It has a supporting character named Princess Mamoru Moonshine Jagermeister Jack Jack Daniels Timothy Tim Bill Freddy Mercury Blueberry Luna, Esquire.

It's the best story ever written

Can we talk about Rouge's bomb?

I'm gonna talk about Rouge's bomb.

So, this is Rouge's bomb.

This bomb, assuming it's made of c4, is a surprisingly small amount of explosives for it's size. It's - and this is a super rough estimate - is around 5-8 pounds of high explosives.

For context, m112 demolition blocks are half the weight and are about a foot long and one inch thick and are used for breaching steel doors by the military. Anyways, point is, it's not as big as you'd think - it's two blocks of c4 in something that looks to be about one foot tall and one foot wide.

Also it ticks down and the wings move up as the bomb gets closer to detonation. I love that, I truly do. Anyways, the thing is that the bomb has to be thicker to make room for the mechanism and that means less room on the bomb.

So, why does this matter? Because it really highlights that Rouge can be incredibly dramatic when she wants to be. This bomb is all part of Rouge's character - it's dramatic, it's pretty, it follows a theme, and it's still super effective. She's a diva, she's a queen, and she's highly competent and doesn't compromise on her theme.

She has an idea of how she's gonna do things and she does them. Also, unless someone else is making these for her (which wouldn't surprise me, Rouge is pretty rich) then Rouge is actually quite clever and can make mechanisms and devices that work very well.

Also, USB sticks with custom markings on them.

I got another ask about the Older Sibling Tails AU. What about Surge and Kitsunami (the imposters) from the IDW comics?

(Full disclosure: I haven't actually caught up to the imposters yet but I do know about them through osmosis!)

From Surge's point of view, Kit's an obliging caretaker. From Tails's point of view, he's the most obnoxious enabler ever

Having been built by Starline to mirror the brothers, Surge and Kit have a relationship that is a somewhat skewed interpretation of Sonic and Tails. Kit is far too obliging to her, and Surge is far too dismissive of him. Kit not only refuses to control her, but couldn't even if he wanted to.

This is, of course, an issue when Surge and Sonic just straight up turn into feral, lightspeed chihuahuas whenever they enter the same room 💀 Kit thinks this is supremely funny!! Tails is supremely unimpressed with his child-rearing methods.

So, with all that in mind, I have to ask - What do you intend to do with the rifts? Teaming up with the other Eggmen is a waste of time - the ego of the baseline Eggman is so fierce that the betrayal is all but inevitable.

And those who would not betray you are either simpletons or champion defenders of their realities. Although I am fond of Eggman BOM-8-10-2016. That one is actually pretty harmless - he's even gone on a game show with his Sonic and plays board games with his Amy.

You at least seem wise enough, Anon. So I'll give you a taste of my master plan, even if I can't reveal all just yet, hoho!

The Rifts are full of energy, of an unknown origin and quantity. If I can harness it... well. Who could stop my designs, then? Not to mention, Stone has his own plans for these Mobian rats, ones the Rifts will help with handily.

*A alarm sounds softly from the screen bank beside Eggman. He turns in his chair, a menacing grin stretching his features.* Ah. And what do we have here? Another blue rodent joins the party... and their energy is quite interesting, to say the least. Almost... dark, one might say.

*Surveillance feed from hidden cambot plays, Sonic's voice crackling from the speakers as he shouts at some new threat. The voice that joins his is nearly identical to the blue speedster, but with a hesitance his never betrays, and a softly accented lilt.*
