Yay! As always this month is wayyyy crazier than usual so i’m not sure if i’ll manage to get a full bingo but hey! I’ve got two things done and i’m happy about that🥰

You know what, I'm just going to say it; there were two reasons Jim did not interact with Julian in the beloved episode Troubles and Tribble-ations - he interacted with Miles after the fight in the bar when he demanded to know who threw the first punch, to which Miles replied he didn't know.

He technically interacted with Jadzia when he almost sat on the Tribble that was sitting in his command chair while they were trying to find the bomb Tribble (and she did unknowingly throw a Tribble at his head).

And we got that lovely scene where Jim interacted with Ben.

Why didn't he interact with Julian? Two simple reasons:

If Kirk was able to get a good look at a doe-eyed officer in blue of Julian's calibre for more than 30 seconds, the DS9 crew would have lost Julian for a few vital hours they needed him in locating the bomb (though Jim might have missed it entirely if he and Julian found enough engaging material to debate in).

If those two idiots were left alone together for five minutes, they would have either gotten themselves killed without Darvin's bomb or they would have imploded the universe in such a way that even the temporal agents would have been left dumb-founded.

The universe could only handle one dumbass of that magnitude once per century - for the 23rd century it was Jim Kirk with Bones and Spock to try and reign him in. For the 24th century it was Julian Bashir, and he needed Miles, Jadzia, Ben, and Garak to replace Bones and Spock.

Everyone thinks Bashir was the designated fuckboy of DS9 but it was actually Jadzia. Sure he had the mentality, but she had the will. She’s probably fucked more than Kirk and Riker combined, and probably got McCoy in bed before Kirk did to.
