The very personal reason why I dislike the Carryx is how it’s said they see created life as disgusting and as a number one biopunk enthusiast that makes them the enemy
#yes I am the dork who lights up anytime a scfi doodad is described as organic looking#biomechanical creatures living computes all that jam#mercy of the gods#scfi#science fiction

Mercy of the Gods feels so abstract sometimes. Really captures the feeling of being trapped in a maze of a world too big for your mind to comprehend. But the protagonists are so human.
You are a cog in a galactic war, your first task is to feed a turtle and go to war with yellow monkeys.

Book 8 Holden: See, I am a neutralized threat. Rulers of old used to keep bears and lions in cages as a show of their power. These animals are powerful in the wild but can’t hurt anyone when imprisoned.
Book 9 Holden: Time to collapse an empire :3

It’s awesome to see that Ratatan devs are taking player feedback after the demo. The game is an excellent foundation that lacks polish. With some changes it can become truly great

Okay, I love the way you described it.
Avarsalla must be laughing from the great beyond as Laconians who buried her in the tomb of heroes, never got the body of their leader back. Just before their empire collapsed together with the ring network.

I think it’s pretty cool that Watcher is practically a fusion of base game and Downpour, a collective output of both teams combined
#it’s interesting that Joar is only listed as a consultant for Watcher#James was a writer but Andrew is credited as the lead developer#I do think the original devs did a soft passing of the baton to the modders#while staying involved#but to my knowledge Joar is out there making a racing game now#rain world#rain world the watcher#rain world downpour

I think it’s funny some Rain World complained the team behind Downpour gave slugcats superpowers and then the original creators returned and created a time travelling dimension hopping triple affirmative slugcat that makes Saint appear tame in comparison
#it’s so not what I expected#I thought Watcher will be a middle ground#I do love it though#rain world downpour#rw watcher#rain world#rain world the watcher#watcher spoilers#the watcher spoilers

I feel like a lot of criticism directed towards Vivziepop’s character designs is caused by people refusing to engage with the character interpretation in the show. Why isn’t Lucifer an intimidating demon lord? Because this show interprets him as a misunderstood dreamer forced into the role of king of hell. I’m not saying everyone has to like that interpretation but for for all that is holy, that needs to be taken into account when discussing designs
