Punishment
Astarion x GN! Tav (Smut)
Plot: You've spent an entire day without giving your loving vampire boyfriend the attention he craves and so rightly deserves. Now you must pay the price.
C/W: Sexual content, bondage, biting, a little bit of blood, spanking, discipline
Your eyes look up in surprise as you are pushed down onto the bed. Astarion looms over you, crimson red eyes trailing over your form as he discards his shirt and climbs on top of you. He quickly pins your hands above your head.
"Naughty little thing, you've barely given me any attention all day." He pouted, his groin pressing down against yours as he straddles you, slowly beginning to grind against your crotch.
"Sorry I-I've just been b-busy..." You stutter out, biting your lip in the attempt to suppress the moans that so desperately want to escape.
"You're not getting off that easy my dear. Looks like I'm going to have to punish you~." He leans in close to your face before kissing you hungrily, rutting his hips against yours as he slowly retrieves something from his pocket. Astarion bites down on your lip, snagging it with his fang and pulling back slightly.
You let out a yelp, giving him the opportunity to invade your mouth with his tongue.
"Mmmm~" he moans into your mouth, the taste of blood from your lips delighting his senses. You can feel a hard growing bulge digging into your groin, grinding and bucking against you. Before breaking the kiss the rogue sneakily ties your hands to the bed with an eccentric frilly purple handkerchief, knotting it and pulling back. A smug grin is plastered upon his face but then he notices your still bleeding lip. He frowns. His expression softens, and he slowly leans in, licking up the stray blood before planting a soft tender kiss on the bite.
"Did I go too far, my sweet?" He asks softly.
"No. I'm fine." You shake your head and give him a reassuring smile.
"Good." Astarion sighs in relief before kissing you once again, this time gently cupping your face as he gently moves his lips against yours, repeatedly peppering your mouth with kisses.
Astarion trails down from your mouth and onto your neck, sucking and nibbling along the tender flesh. One of his hands slips under your shirt and teasingly pinch your nipples as he continues to rut against you. Making your loins ache with desire.
"A-Astarion please I...I need...you..." You begged.
"Oh, you want me inside you already?~" Astarion looked down at your flushed needy face, pinching and pulling at one of your nipples before pushing himself into you through your clothes.
"Y-Yes please!" You looked up at him, squirming and whimpering under his body as you desperately pushed your hips back against his own.
"Don't worry my pet, I'll give you exactly what you want." Astarion smirked, removing his hand from under your shirt and begining to shift on top of you.
"Wait.....What are you doing?" You asked in confusion as you noticed Astarion getting off of you and the bed entirely.
"Oh you silly little thing. I never said I was going to give it to you now." He suddenly laughed, " I will give you exactly what you want after you've had time to reflect on your mistake." The vampire spawn crossed his arms with a mischievous smirk. "Honestly darling, did you really think I was going to make love to you after you've ignored me for an entire day?"
"Astarion you fucking cunt!" You shouted as he turned to exit out the door of your shared bedroom, leaving you tied up on the bed horny and alone.
I am not sorry.

Love in the Shadows (1)
|AstarionxOC|
Plot: Winnie and the Tadfools enter the Shadowlands in search of Moonrise Towers and come across a friend from Winnie's past.
Warning/Content: Sexual themes, gore, violence, adult language, spiders.
This is a continuation of my one shot series.
Previous part.
Winnie’s POV
The drow stared down at me like a predator stalking prey. Red eyes scanned my face as he smiled widely. “Poor little piglet…” His raspy voice was like claws digging into my flesh. Sharp and stinging. “I could help you look beautiful you know. All I need to do is cut off all this meat…” Without another word I felt the blade of his scalpel ripping through the meat of my belly. I screamed and kicked as he decorated my body in lacerations and blood.
“Now now, behave yourself piggy. What would Granny say about you giving me all this trouble?” The drow chuckled before reaching down and holding up a rather gastly sight. Dark lifeless eyes stared back into mine as her stiff jaw remained agaped. He was holding her by her hair, dangling her above my face as her ungodly stench hit my senses.
“You…I'LL KILL YOU!”
My eyes snapped open as reality came to light. Another sleepless night courtesy of the horrors of my past. Quickly looking around, I noticed the other members of the camp were still asleep and the sun had just barely begun to rise. I let out a sigh as I laid my back against my bedroll. A slight chill went down my spine, indicating that the campfire had gone out in the night. There was definitely no chance of me going back to sleep now. Turning, l grab my pack, and take out a small, worn green dragon with button eyes and a blue dotted patch on his belly. The dragon was a keepsake from my earliest days, and something very dear to my heart. I affectionately called him Louie. In an attempt to calm myself I hugged Louie close to my chest and took slow, deep breaths. My hands were shaking and I could still see the images of Gran's face in my mind.
“The sun rises. Let us make way to moonrise before our enemies have a chance to act.” Lae’zel’s voice broke me from my panic as I awkwardly stood up cradling Louie to my chest.
With a deep breath I tucked Louie into my pack before rolling up my bedroll and attaching it to the bottom of my bag. As everyone got ready to leave, my eyes glanced up into the sky as I noticed crows circling overhead. Far off in the distance I could see the blue sky turn dark as if there was a storm over the horizon or a curtain of shadow covering the land. It had to be the Shadow Cursed lands Halsin had told us about.
A yawn escaped my lips as we began to set out for the day. The warm summer air seemed to grow cooler the closer we came to the shadows. Eventually I felt a hand on my shoulder. Cool fingertips brushed over my scars as I looked back to see Astarion grinning at me.
“Morning my sweet. You look rather exhausted after our night together.” The ivory haired elf purred in my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. I never really know how to reply to his flirting and had honestly forgotten we'd been intimate last night since that nightmare had consumed my thoughts.
“Our night together?” I mumbled trying to think back to last night, but the sight of Gran’s lifeless face kept appearing in my mind.
“Oh don't tell me you've forgotten how much you enjoyed being tasted…How much you loved my tongue between your thighs.” He whispered the last part into my ear, making sure none of the others would hear, but they all knew what he was doing.
“Is there a reason you're acting so promiscuous this morning?” I glanced back at him as I felt his hand move down my back and grab my butt.
“You wound me. I merely wanted to know how you were feeling. You seem rather tense.” Astarion cooed out, giving me a false saddened face.
“I just had another nightmare…” I muttered before staring off ahead of us. The scent of death hitting my senses. Suddenly something leapt out of the bushes and lunged at me. Instinctively I unsheathed my scimitars from my back and blocked the incoming attack. The creature gripted hold of my blades, blood stained its thin claws as I gazed into the glowing red eyes of a ghoul. I gagged at the smell of the ghoul’s nauseating breath, using my strength to try and push the creature back before suddenly a thin blade went right through its head. Astarion had jammed his rapier through the beast's skull, the tip of his slender blade poking out from between the ghoul's eyes. The vampire pulled his blade back causing some blood to splatter on the ground. Without a second thought I pushed the corpse off me and stood up.
“Thank you.” I quickly murmured before checking the surroundings for any other signs of danger.
“Looks like we'll be running into more undead the further we go.” Shadowheart took note of a pile of bones scattered along our path.
“And I suspect none of them will be as alluring as me.” Astarion flicked one of his curls doing a sassy little pose with his rapier before wiping off the blood with a handkerchief.
“You alright soldier?” Karlach asked as she looked me over.
“Yeah I'm fine. Let's keep moving before more of these things show up.” Immediately I sheathed my scimitars and began to trudge forward.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
After about an hour or two, darkness was all around us. We stopped in front of a fire pit as soon as we entered the Shadowlands.
“Are you the True Souls?” I turned my head towards a small voice before noticing a goblin with a torch.
‘Wonderful. More of them.’
“That's us. We're the True Souls.” Karlach piped up as she stood beside me. The goblin nodded quickly before grabbing a torch.
“Right grab a torch and get moving. The others are waiting for you! And be careful the shadows are hungry.” She said, standing beside the pit. Gale and Karlach grabbed torches and I simply summoned a flame in my hand. The path ahead was riddled with huge, gnarled roots, spreading over gaps like bridges. We came towards a huge mass of roots which spread over a chasm before suddenly Shadowheart stopped me.
“Before we go any further there is something you need to know. These shadows. They don't seem to be affecting me. I think it's Shar. She's protecting me.”
“Shar is protecting you? I don't follow.” I tilted my head in confusion.
“I worship Shar, the dark lady. I'm honestly surprised that you didn't figure this out sooner.”
“I didn't think it was any of my business. Doesn't matter to me who you worship.” I shrugged as my eyes gazed back into her slightly critical looking green ones.
“I’m surprised. Most people aren't as open minded.” She crossed her arms and gave me a curious glance.
“Yes, well most people are judgemental cunts.” My voice carried indifference. I wasn't much of a religious person so I could care less about the gods other people worshipped. As long as it didn't affect me it didn't matter. Shadowheart continued to explain to me about how she was sent on an important mission to retrieve the artifact and how she was required to give up her memories in order to keep Shar’s secrets. Shadowheart was certain Shar was protecting her from the shadow curse.
After we got that revelation all sorted out something had caught my attention. A familiar scent that I hadn't smelled since before the mind flayers abducted me.
“Winnie? Where in the hells are you going?” Astarion's voice called after me, but I ignored it. Finding the source of that scent was far more important. It was a familiar earthy scent, like wet leaves with a hint of sweet flowers, the smell of an old friend.
I rounded a corner before my eyes spotted a small black, winged cat locked away in a cage. A goblin stood there taunting her, and throwing rocks at her as she hissed in fear. I narrowed my eyes and immediately reached for my blades about to carve up the little green freak before suddenly I was pulled back.
“Are you stupid? Or do you just get a thrill out of being reckless?” Astarion grabbed hold of me by the shoulders and pulled me aside.
“Let me go Astarion! I need to save her!” I growled, yanking away. Astarion was about to lose his grip when the others grabbed me and pulled me back.
“Easy Winnie. We shouldn't rush in without thinking. This is uncharted territory.” Wyll spoke up.
“He's right. We don't need to alert any possible enemies. We don't know what's lurking around that camp.” Shadowheart added. I huffed, suppressing my anger as I let out a snarl.
“Fine…” I relaxed and the others slowly released me.
“There’s a good puppy.” Astarion said in a rather mocking tone. I rolled my eyes before looking back over towards the camp where my companion was being held, crouching down and looking through the bushes. The others mimicked my actions as we got a good look of the area.
“Is that a tressym?” Gale asked, moving beside me.
“Yes, she is. Her name is Maddie. She's a friend of mine from Baldur's Gate.” I explained, not taking my eyes off the cage. “I hadn't seen her since before the abduction, back when everyone else I knew was starting to disappear.”
“We'll save her soldier. Don't worry.” Karlach assured me. I immediately glared over towards the goblin near Maddie's cage. There were some others waiting around nearby, another goblin and two half orcs. More Absolute cultists no doubt.
“Alright you guys stopped me, so now what?”
“I suggest we handle this diplomatically. No need to go rushing into any unnecessary battles.”
“Perhaps we could make use of the tadpoles. Turn our adversaries into obedient servants.” Astarion hummed, moving behind me.
“If they do anything to harm Maddie, I'm killing every last one of them.”
Eventually our group decided to go with Gale's diplomatic idea. We walked towards the camp slowly. My eyes never left Maddie. I couldn't believe I'd find one of my friends after all this time traveling with the tadpoles. The goblin from before was now tormenting a skittish looking hyena. The goblin threw a bone off into the shadows as I approached, clearing my throat.
“A-Ah…You must be the True Soul we've been expecting.”
“Yes. We've been told to come here by another goblin.”
“We’re under orders to escort you to Moonrise towers.” The goblin said quickly. “All we have to do is wait for the guide and we should be good to go.”
“And what exactly is this?” I did my best to keep a stoic face as I glanced over at Maddie.
“We caught it sneaking around our camp, thought I'd serve it up for supper.”
“You will do no such thing. In fact instead go and pick up that bone you threw.”
“What!? You can't be serious!?” The goblin gasped at me.
“Do it. Now.” I said, calmly and firmly. The goblin hesitated before slowly turning and walking off into the shadows. My eyes followed him until he slowly disappeared, searching for the bone before suddenly letting out a scream. I let out a deep breath before turning my attention to Maddie.
“Winnie! You're alive!” The little black haired feline cheered.
“Maddie! Are you alright? What are you doing here?” My stoic facade immediately disappeared as I knelt down next to the cage.
“After you were abducted I got in contact with Arva and the others. Begged them to come back and help try and find you or whatever was left of you. That's when we stumbled upon the shadow cursed lands and ran into these fanatics. I got separated from our group in a skirmish.”
“I thought the others had gone missing. How did you get a hold of them?” I asked with a puzzled expression.
“They-”
“Hey! Who's over there?” A half orc interrupted as he approached our group with two others behind him.
“Ah…. We're true souls. Seeking an escort to Moonrise?” I spoke up, scanning over the group with curiosity.
“Oh good. We've been expecting you. We're about ready to go. Did you bring the lyre? You need only to string a tune and our guide will come running.” The half-orc said before glancing behind him towards the remnants of a building. I blinked a few times as I tried to think up an excuse before suddenly remembering an instrument I had found in the Selunite temple.
“Oh you mean this?” I asked as I took out a small, stringed instrument from my pack. (Gods I really need to clean this thing out.)
“Yes! That's it. Just pluck a tune and our guide will appear.”
Slowly I strummed my fingers across the stringed instrument, playing a few cords. The stench of something strange hit my senses before suddenly I heard several footsteps. Out from a cave, came a horrifying creature. A monsterous drider with long white hair, holding a lantern with a strange glow approached.
“Mistress, who has summoned us? Who are these strangers?”
“More recruits for the absolute. They need passage to Moonrise, same as us.” The half-orc said.
“New flesh for you, my queen? But who are they?” The drider appeared to question some unseen master. Probably the absolute we keep hearing about.
“By the gods it's one of Lolth’s abominations…” I heard Astarion murmur. The drider’s eight red beady eyes gazed over us.
“Perhaps you should introduce yourselves. He'll be more likely to listen to a true soul.” I gulped before looking up at the eight legged monstrosity.
“Ah hey…I'm Winnie…” I awkwardly introduced myself. I could feel something brushing at the back of my mind, a feeling of something connecting then whispers of a voice.
“A True Soul. You have more worshipers everyday majesty.” The drider grinned.
I shook my head, quickly severing the connection of our minds.
“Yes…. They'll do nicely.” The drider said to himself. This guy definitely has some screws loose. I don't know if I should go along with this or just kill them all and save Maddie. Either way I need to get her out of here. I glanced back at Astarion before nodding towards the cage where Maddie was held. Looking back at the drider, I decided to see if I could get some information. Hopefully something that would help us.
“So uh…How is it you can survive out here?”
“We have our queen’s favor. She speaks to us. Protects us. Graces us with her blessing.” The drider exclaimed.
“And her magic lamp.” One of the goblins piped up.
“They are jealous of your gift, majesty, but you gave it to us. And we always keep it close.” The drider gripped his glowing lantern close as if it was some precious jewel.
“That lantern seems interesting. Mind if I take a look at it?” I asked with a soft grin. The spider man immediately sneered at me before snapping with a growl.
“No! Our queen gave it to us! If they wish to walk through the darkness alone they are welcome to!”
“I did not mean to offend.” I put my hands up and took a step back before noticing the cage where Maddie had been held was empty and the door wide open. “Or well…Perhaps I did…Perurē!” Suddenly I shot a massive wave of lightning at the drider making him cry out.
“Heretics!” He suddenly screeched. I drew my scimitars and sliced through the throat of a goblin that immediately came at me. The orcs unsheathed their weapons, one of them let out a war cry before charging towards me. Karlach stepped in front of me, blocking the incoming strike with her great axe, knocking him back. Astarion's arrows shot through the sky hitting the remaining goblins and piercing through one of the half-orc’s shoulders. The drider then came at me fast, swinging his blade towards my face and cutting a single lock of my bangs. As soon as I had the chance I slashed through a couple of the drider’s legs. Karlach drove her axe through one of the half-orc's bodies, killing them instantly before suddenly I spotted something flying overhead.
“Ardē!” Suddenly a fireball shot down from above. I was quick to leap back as it collided with our enemies burning most of them alive. The drider was still standing but just barely. Without another thought I drove my blade through his skull, killing him without another word.
Maddie suddenly landed in front of me after I cleaned off and sheathed my blades.
“Crazy bug man. I still can't believe you're alive Winnie.” The tressym glanced up at me, her tail curling upwards. I was panting a bit, feeling rather winded from the fight.
“Honestly I'm still surprised, myself. I was able to escape the nautiloid and met my friends.” I looked back to the others before suddenly hearing a strange cry off in the distance.
“It might be best if we look for somewhere more secure to catch up.” Maddie said as she arched her back in a defensive stance.
“Yes we can make camp soon, but first….” I turned and looked down at the lantern before picking it up. I wasn't quite sure how but the light was keeping the shadow curse away. The uncomfortable gnawing feeling of the shadows had completely vanished. “What in the world is this…?”
“Oh please, oh jolly me oh my, you must release me or I'll die!” A small voice came from within and as I peeked in I noticed a small winged person inside. A pixie. “This lantern only lights the way when I am hurting night and day!”
Pixies were mischievous creatures if I remember right from Gran’s teachings. Though they weren't incapable of bargaining.
“Who are you?” I asked, trying to get a better look at the little fey creature, though all I could really see was her silhouette.
“My name? My name is Dolly thrice; now won't you help me from this vice?” She pleaded, her tone growing more desperate.
“My companions and I need protection from the shadow curse. If I let you go, will you help us get through the shadows?”
“It would be my pleasure-truly! Once I'm freed I'll help you duly.”
I paused , humming in thought before looking back at Maddie.
“She doesn't sound like a liar. Not to mention I'd rather not get on the bad side of any fey. Perhaps we should release the little lady?” The tressym hummed as she stepped towards leg.
“Are you really taking advice from a cat? If that little beast decides to run away we lose protection from the curse!” Astarion snapped.
“I'm not a cat, knife ear!” Maddie hissed, glaring up at the elf. I sighed in annoyance before opening the lantern and freeing the pixie.
“Finally!” Out of the lantern flew a little purple lady with glowing wings. “Been trapped in that coffin with no one but a mad drider and my own farts for company.” She exclaimed, her rhymes seeming to completely vanish once free. Dolly looked back at me after fluttering about for a bit. “Did me a good time there, didn't you? What do I owe you?”
“Protection from the shadow curse, please!”
“I can do that, but will I?” She paused for a moment, looking at me with a mischievous grin.
“Yeah sure why not.” She turned and suddenly pulled out a bell before handing it to me. “Here, give this bell a shake, speak the magic words and you'll get what you've earned.” Protection from the shadow curse. What more could a dingus want?” The pixie giggles before beginning to fly off, calling out, “your welcome.” As she disappeared.

We found a secure spot to camp near a cliff side. Maddie had told me that the others sent her a letter explaining that they'd taken a job for a large amount of gold, but unfortunately it turned out their benefactors ended up being Absolutists. My friends Thomas and Bekk had been taken captive by the cult and Arva had been working to rescue them. It was nice to know they were alive, but gods this was just another thing to keep me up at night. I tried not to think of it as I chopped through a piece of boar meat with a cleaver. Gale was cutting up veggies next to me. After cutting the meat I began to roll each piece in a marinade I was able to make from some spices I had found in an abandoned wagon a while back.
“Winnie, that smells absolutely divine. Where did you learn to make it?” Gale asked.
“My friend Bekk taught me. He's an amazing cook.”
“Really? You'll have to share some of his secrets with me sometime.”
“You can ask him yourself after we rescue him.” Maddie chimed in and hopped up on a nearby table. “Dinner smells wonderful, Winnie. You and your boyfriend make a good team.”
“Boyfriend?” Gale turned a bright shade of pink.
“W-We’re j-just friends!” I sputtered out in embarrassment.
“Clearly. Give Winnie a little more credit, she has far better options than Gale.” Astarion scoffed, crossing his arms as he said Gale's name with disgust.
“Is that a hint of jealousy I detect, Astarion?” Gale quirked an eyebrow.
“Just a bit of sympathy for dear Winnie. Being mistaken for being your lover is simply mortifying.” Astarion giggled a bit at the end as he walked over to where I had been cooking. I ignored him, despite his blood red orbs scanning me. He was being snarky and I was trying to focus on cooking. I set the meat on the flat stone we used to make a stove. I cleaned off my hands before flipping the meat to cook on both sides.
“Winnie, don't tell me you're with the rude elf.” Maddie muttered.
“Excuse me! I'm literally standing right here!”
“It's complicated, Mads…” I sighed before continuing to try to focus on my cooking. I kept to myself while I finished up before sitting down to eat with the others. Maddie was giving Astarion the side eye, clearly still upset about being referred to as a ‘cat’ earlier as she ate some of the meat I cooked. I honestly just wanted to finish eating and head to bed early. Everything that happened over the past days had been overwhelming. The nightmares and my growing feelings for Astarion certainly weren't helping either.
Once I finished and cleaned up after myself I made a beeline for my bedroll and began to set it up.
“You know dear, I think you and I work rather well together. We have a connection.” As I laid down, footsteps approached me. Astarion was looking down at me with a smug grin. “We're like two souls walking the same path. You might be a little naive in the ways of the world, but I see promise in you. Ambition.”
“Naive? What do you mean naive?” I glared at him slightly.
“Just that you ... .Have a big heart! You like doing what's right? So I was thinking what would be the right thing to do once we get to the Moonrise Towers?”
“We’re not using the tadpoles for our own gain, we're going to get rid of them.” I crossed my arms.
“Darling, you're completely ignoring the possibilities. We could have an entire cult at our beck and call.”
“We already did that and they tried to cook me alive…”
“Ah yes well. Things didn't work out with the fish folk, but this time it'll be different. Our new followers will be more civilized, surely.” Astarion brushed off my concern. “I'm just saying there's an opportunity here. If we can control the tadpoles we can keep ourselves safe and liberate the world from this evil.”
'Why do I like this guy again?'
I let out a sigh and rolled my eyes before ignoring him and laying in my bedroll.

YES 👏👏👏
Today I reread it, and my eyes bled. I'm sorry, but I have to repeat myself. Every time someone says that Spawn Astarion is weak, they are speaking exactly like Cazador, who throughout the game keeps insisting that he is pathetic, worthless, just a scared little boy, etc.
Well, just as I can’t accept the vampire lord’s perspective in the game, and just as I don’t agree that strength comes solely from power, I am once again compelled to explain why Spawn Astarion is, in fact, an incredibly strong person.
Spawn Astarion is incredibly strong because he doesn’t let fear control him—he embraces it and chooses to fight it every single day. He is strong because he spares 7,000 souls from the torment of hell, granting them freedom, and in doing so, he sacrifices himself like a true hero. He is strong because he rejects power instead of giving in to temptation and claiming it for himself at the expense of others. He is strong because he allows himself to engage in relationships instead of trying to control them, accepting his own vulnerability. He is strong because he finally accepts himself for who he is, flaws and struggles included, and is willing to work on them using only his own strength and abilities. It takes an immense amount of willpower and resilience to do all of this. So yes, Spawn Astarion possesses an exceptional strength of will and spirit, and he has nothing to envy in the Ascendant Vampire.

This might be something I’ll regret posting on to the endless space that is the interwebs, but….society convincing men that moaning isn’t acceptable or manly enough or that women don’t find it attractive is one of the worst lies.
That’s my Ted talk. Yes I am on the green devils lettuce.

Happy Birthday Valentine's day Special.
I still hate Valentine's day.
[Eat Your Heart!]
(This Bites: Valentines Day special)
Pairing: Astarion x F! Chubby MC
Plot: Winnie hates Valentines Day, having never been able to celebrate it with a lover before, but now that she has Astarion perhaps it'll change?
C/W: Suggestive themes, Sexual humor, random bigoted asshole encounter, fluffy goodness.
This Bites Chapters: One, Two, Three, Four,
Winnie turned on the television and internally groaned as she noticed a commercial come on. It was one advertising chocolates for her least favorite holiday. Valentine’s Day. Or as Winnie liked to call it Singles Awareness Day.
“God, I hate couples.” Winnie huffed a bit, glaring at the man and woman on the screen, sharing chocolates. How dare they shove their happiness in her face!
“Meow!” Maddie hopped up onto the bed and took her place on Winnie’s lap, gently headbutting her ribs.
“You get me, don't you baby?” Winnie asked as she looked down at the raven-haired feline, running a hand over her little head.
“Murp!” The cat made a strange little noise in response before leaning her head into Winnie’s hand and purring. Winnie smiled softly and rubbed the cat's head before looking over at her phone. Mom and Brian were out of town, apparently going on a romantic trip for Valentine's Day which was tomorrow.
Stupid candy heart holiday!
Winnie looked over posts online to see what everyone was doing. Her old friends from highschool were all happy and celebrating with their spouses the selfish pricks. How dare they be happy goddamnit! Winnie huffed before noticing Becca from work had posted an update about how she was going out with some girl she met at a con tomorrow and how excited she was about it.
No Becca! Not you too!
Winnie groaned and fell back on her bed. Maddie tilted her head curiously before hopping up on Winnie’s chest and sniffing at her face.
“Ughhh…. I need some ice cream.” The brunette-haired female picked the cat up before setting her on the side of the bed and getting up. Winnie walked into the kitchen and opened the freezer, getting a small container of chocolate ice cream out before closing the door to the fridge. She grabbed a spoon before heading back to the bedroom.
Winnie sat back down on her bed, trying to turn the television on something more interesting to watch as the window to her bedroom suddenly opened. Winnie nearly dropped her spoon as the silver haired vampire elf crawled inside her home.
“J-Jesus!” Winnie cursed, “for fucks sake Astarion! No one is home but me. You can use a door!”
“I suppose I've developed a habit of coming in this way.” He said with a little giggle at the end. Astarion had something in his hand as he shut the window behind him. A little bit of blood ran down the corner of his mouth. He'd just been out hunting and was able to drain a plethora of raccoons, possums and even a large deer to boot. Maddie’s tail shot up and curled into a hook shape as she padded over towards Astarion, immediately rubbing against his legs with a pur.
“Oh, hello darling,” Astarion smiled and reached down to pet the cat. “I brought you something.”
Winnie’s eyes widened in complete horror as she noticed there was a bird in his hand. A small lifeless looking bird. He held it out to Maddie who immediately sniffed it before prodding it with her paw.
“Astarion! You can't just bring dead animals to my cat!” Winnie freaked out, setting her snack to the side before grabbing some tissues from her table. She scooped the bird up into them.
“It's not-” Astarion tried to cut in, but Winnie opened the window, and the bird suddenly sprang to life, pecking her hand before flying out the window.
“Fuck!” Winnie cursed.
“Oh, now look at what you've done. You've ruined my gift to our precious little pet.”
“She's MY pet and I don't want her killing birds in the house!” Winnie hissed before rubbing her hand where she'd been pecked.
God, I hope that thing didn't have a disease….
Winnie sighed and closed the window before getting back onto her bed and sitting. Astarion pouted before sitting on the bed next to her.
“You're awfully snappy this evening.”
Winnie sighed, “sorry. It's this damn holiday. It always rubs me the wrong way.” Winnie said, grabbing her ice cream and spooning some into her mouth.
“What holiday, love?” He asked, sprawling out over the bed and laying his head on her thigh.
“Oh right, you don't know. It's Valentine's Day. Uh…It's a holiday celebrating romance and candy people really like to sell candy on it.” Winnie said, “people usually give their lovers gifts like chocolate and flowers on it.”
“Oh, that sounds positively dreadful!” Astarion said sarcastically.
“It is if you've been single all your life and people are rubbing their happiness in your face!” Winnie exclaimed. “I hate it.”
“Darling, you have me now, remember? And I would be happy to join in on any romantic festivities…as long as it's with you.” Astarion smiled softly, looking up at Winnie with soft round puppy-like eyes. Winnie blushed and bit and cleared her throat.
“I-I guess I didn't think about that…I've just been single for as long as I can remember." Winnie set her ice cream to the side table.
“Of course I haven't been able to enjoy chocolate for the past two centuries, but I'm sure you'll think of something else for us to enjoy.” Astarion smiled and laid across Winnie’s lap. Since the brunette-haired woman had begun dating courting him the two of them got a bit more comfortable with one another. Snuggles and hugs were pretty casual now, but they still tended to catch Winnie off guard. She enjoyed them, but it still felt so weird for a man to be so affectionate with her.
Winnie’s brother was raised the old fashion way, taught to be tough and stoic and that hugging was for sissies so needless to say he wasn't very cuddly. Her biological father wasn't the type of person you wanted touching you. And Brian pfft…As if she'd ever hug Brian! The fucking prick.
So really, she'd only known affection from other women. And it was all platonic. This just felt so weird. It was nice, but weird.
“Well, Valentine's Day isn't until tomorrow, but we can go out tomorrow night and do something then?” Winnie suggested.
“Sounds lovely.” Astarion hummed.
“Still, it's too bad you can't actually taste normal food. I would have gotten you a bunch of candy hearts.” Winnie smiled, leaning back a little as she experimentally ran her fingers through his soft white locks.
“The only heart I'd find myself wanting to eat would be yours I'm afraid.” Astarion joked with a mischievous chuckle, leaning up and laying his head on Winnie’s large pillowy chest as he snuggled against her.
“The way it speeds up just for me is so…. mouthwatering.” He purred, nuzzling against Winnie.
“I kinda need my heart you know…” Winnie huffed with a pout.
“Just teasing, my dear.” Astarion hummed, eyes closed as he listened to the comforting sound of her heartbeat, his arms wrapped around her plush waist as he cuddled on top of her. She honestly felt so soft and cushy to the vampire. Winnie blushed a bit, leaning back with a yawn as she ran her fingers through the vampire’s curls.
“You just gonna sleep on me tonight?”
“Perhaps…”
Winnie giggled slightly, “Okay…”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day Winnie went to work as normal, leaving an Astarion alone at the house with the instructions to NOT get into any trouble. Which for most of the part he didn't. He mostly laid around, played with Maddie, hate-watched some gods awful vampire TV series, placed one of the dog’s ‘surprises’ into Brian's shoes and took a long relaxing bubble bath while using one of Winnie’s mother's facemasks.
Winnie on the other hand spent the day stocking shelves and cleaning floors at the CornerStore.
She had to deal with some middle aged lady who repeatedly kept asking where they kept their grills despite the fact that Winnie tried to calmly explain that they did not sell grills at the store and that she should try the Superstore across town.
It was honestly one huge stressful mess and eventually Becca had to come over and ask the woman to leave when she noticed the lady raising her voice at Winnie.
After the workday ended Winnie headed back home on her motorcycle. She had to keep her mind from wandering off to tonight's events, but it was hard! Winnie was filled with both anxiety and excitement at the prospect of being able to spend this Valentine's Day with a romantic companion.
Eventually she made it back and parked in the empty driveway of her home. The neighborhood was mostly quiet aside from the distant sounds of dogs barking and children shouting from their yards. The sun was slowly setting and soon Astarion would be able to leave the house with her. She entered her home, stretching out her arms before walking towards her room.
“Astarion, I'm home.” She called.
“Welcome back, my love.” The vampire greeted, a book in hand as he laid on her bed, wearing a black tank and grey shorts. Winnie blinked as she noticed the book in his hands, his fingers obscured the cover, but she had a bad feeling she knew what book that was.
“Uh…What are you reading?” Winnie asked.
“I never pegged you to be into such scandalous literature. It appears my sweet innocent little Winnie isn't so innocent after all.” Astarion purred. Winnie quickly went over and tried to grab the book from him, her face burning bright red with embarrassment.
“Give that here!” She shouted, but Astarion immediately got off the bed and held the book up high and out of reach. Winnie was able to see it had been a graphic novel, an erotic BL manga that she'd gotten as a gift back in her senior year of high school from one of the nerdy girls she used to be friends with. She had only read it once…. Okay maybe twice, but that was it!
“Tut tut, you didn't ask nicely. Naughty girl. ~”
Winnie growled in frustration.
“Give it back Astarion!” She hissed before trying to grab hold of his arm and pull it down so she could grab the book. However, she had absolutely no luck.
Do…. I suddenly have noodle arms or is he suddenly much stronger!?
Astarion was snickering, a wide shit eating grin on his face as he kept the book out of his darling’s reach. Eventually however the two of them tumbled back onto the bed in the scuffle, Winnie grunted as she fell on top of him. Winnie grunted and Astarion then tossed the book to the side before rolling over on top.
“Hey!” Winnie whined, “get off!”
“Ask a bit nicer and I may consider it, sweetheart.”
Winnie glared at him, cheeks flushing with both embarrassment and a little bit of something else as he pinned her to the bed.
“Fine…. Please…Let me up…” Winnie muttered.
“Good girl. ~” The elf said cheekily, planting a quick peck on the female’s face. Astarion rolled over and got off of Winnie, allowing her up.
“You know, I'm only teasing about the book. I really don't care about what little fantasies get you going, darling.” He giggled before tossing the novel back at her.
“You don't need to be an ass about it.” Winnie muttered before taking the manga and putting it away (this time somewhere different).
“If it would make you feel better, I might be willing to indulge your fantasies one day. Once you're ready of course!”
“I…. How would you…? NEVERMIND! The sun will be down soon! And I need to get ready….We need to get ready!” Winnie stated, her face looking all pink.
“As you wish my sweet.” Astarion smiled before glancing over to the clothes he'd had been given.
He decided to change into some pants while Winnie went into the bathroom with a bundle of her own clothing. Astarion dressed before looking at the black hoodie Winnie normally had him wear. The white-haired vampire rolled his eyes at it before noticing Winnie’s own jacket hung up in the closet. It was a dark purple hoodie which radiated with her scent. Astarion grabbed hold of it before sliding it on. It didn't fit quite right. It was a bit loose around the chest and waist while almost being too short for him to wear, but he couldn't help but find comfort in the smell. Lavender and cherry blossoms. It made him feel at ease.
Winnie came out of the bathroom a few minutes later dressed in a red blouse-like shirt with a heart shaped hole over the chest and black tights which hugged smugly around her thick thighs. She was running a brush through her hair as she looked over at him. “You know my hoodie doesn't fit you right?”
“Gods forbid you let me wear anything with a little bit of color!” Astarion pouted.
“I'm not saying you can't borrow it…It's just. I’ll buy you your own if you want one.” Winnie offered.
“No!” Astarion said quickly, “I-mean don't bother, you probably won't be able to find another one this comfortable!” The pale elf insisted.
Winnie sighed, “Whatever. Let's just go…Oh wait…” Winnie looked around in her dresser before taking out a black beanie. She got on her tippy toes before placing it over his head and covering his elf ears.
“You’re messing up my hair…Winnie…” Astarion complained and glared down at the short female.
“I always fix it for you, don't I?” Winnie shrugged before grasping Astarion's hair. “Come on! The sun's gone down!” The two left, hopping onto Winnie's motorcycle and driving off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tall brightly lit lamp posts surrounded the archery range as the love birds paid their way in and rented a pair of bows before walking up to the ring. Winnie scrunched her nose as they passed another couple who absolutely reeked of booze. She'd noticed them arrive in some huge camo SUV with deer antlers mounted to the hood and an obnoxiously loud radio playing.
The archery targets were set up past the fence, all set up in a horizontal line and each one was moved further back than the one that came before. Winnie struggled to hold her bow correctly, grunting in frustration as the arrow would slide out of place.
“My sweet, let me help you.” Astarion said, carefully adjusting Winnie’s hands. She took a deep breath before pulling the around back and shooting it. It fell right onto the ground almost immediately after being shot.
“Ah! I suck at this!” Winnie huffed.
“Well, you're still much better at it than Gale.” Astarion smiled a bit.
“...Thanks….” Winnie said, not sure if being better than Gale was really that great a compliment.
“Try again, love.” Astarion said before moving to help Winnie. He stood close behind her, chest against her back as he positioned her hands, this time guiding them to pull back the bowstring. He had her pull it back as far as it would go before releasing it. The arrow shot across the range and hit the side of one of the targets.
“Whoa!” Winnie smiled, “I actually hit it!” Astarion adjusted her hands once again and helped her notch another arrow, this time hitting closer to the center of the target.
“Okay! Okay! I'm going to try by myself this time!” She cheered. The elf watched her fondly. He found her giddiness positively adorable.
She pulled back the arrow before letting it go and it went about five feet before falling to the ground.
“Oh goddamnit!” Winnie swore, attracting the attention of onlookers.
“You did better this time, darling. But perhaps you should take a break, hm?” Astarion suggested and patted her shoulder.
“Yeah .... I guess so .... How about you shoot some?” Winnie asked.
“I suppose I could.” Astarion hummed before planting a kiss on Winnie’s cheek. “But don't get upset when I upstage you.”
“No, by all means! Don't be afraid to show off!” Winnie smiled at him. Astarion smirked before taking the bow and notching an arrow. He pulled it all the way before letting it go and immediately hitting a bullseye on his first try.
A make-up-caked woman with short red hair and ruby red lipstick looked over from where she stood next to a tall beefy man in a leather vest, her eyes wide with amazement.
Winnie clapped, a grin forming on her lips.
“Keep going Star! That was awesome!” She cheered.
Astarion shot another arrow at the next target immediately hitting another bullseye. Most of the targets he'd been used to usually moved so this was honestly way too easy. Winnie followed Astarion as he hit the targets one after another each with a flawless technique.
And he even shot one backwards.
Okay I said you could show off, but this is a little much….
“Astarion-” Winnie began before suddenly the red headed lady marched over and pushed her out of the way.
“That was amazing! Where did you learn how to do that?” She asked, eyes leering over Astarion now that the woman was able to get a better look at him.
“It’s all instinct really.” The elf replied with a smug, confident look. He appeared to be eating up the praise.
“It's very impressive. You must be very strong.~” She purred, moving to stand closer before placing a hand on his arm, feeling it up. Astarion grimaced and looked at the woman with a flash of disgust. Winnie glared over at the woman with annoyance.
Seriously? This is the second time some floozy thinks it's okay to invade Star’s personal space!
“Look lady, he doesn't like people being all touch-” Winnie was about to try to run the woman off before suddenly the man she'd previously been with stomped over towards the three.
“HEY! Get the hell away from MY wife!” He snapped.
“Apologies, it seems your lady has had a little too much to drink.” Astarion said, removing the woman's hand from his shoulder as if she was carrying some kind of disease.
“Are you saying she's not good enough for you!? What are you gay!?” The man pushed through, he reeked of alcohol just as much as his wife did it seemed. Winnie furrowed her brows at the man's ridiculousness. He clearly just wanted any reason to fight. Astarion seemed a bit confused at his question.
“Not at the moment. Nothing really to be cheerful about currently.”
“You being smart with me, pretty boy?!” The man shouted. Astarion was trying to remain civil for Winnie’s sake but the bastard was really trying his patience. Astarion wasn't permitted to have a knife, Winnie made sure of it but the vampire spawn claws he'd grown while here definitely weren't for looks. Wouldn't be too hard to poke a hole in this cunt’s windpipe if he was quick.
“No. Not at all.” Astarion replied, “I was simply answering your question.” Astarion had a fake smile on his face, but Winnie could see the irritation in his eyes. If this didn't resolve itself quickly someone was going to get hurt.
“You think you're real funny don't you, you fucking faggot!?” The man snarled.
“You know I've been called a lot of things, but that…I've never heard of. Probably not a very intelligent insult by any means.” Astarion chuckled a bit, his smile turning more sinister. Fingers clenched as his claws prepared to strike. The bigoted drunkard seemed about ready to blow his top and start throwing punches. The floozy wife just seemed to be giggling and enjoying the chaos, not even caring if someone got hurt. Winnie had to act fast before this turned to bloodshed. Before anyone could say another word she grabbed her bow and an arrow before desperately aiming towards the parking lot. She pulled it as far as it would go, almost instinctively remembering how Astarion showed her earlier.
The arrow flew across the range and hit the drunk couple’s SUV right in the headlights, almost immediately sounding the car alarm.
“What?” The bigoted man tore his head away from Astarion before suddenly his wife shouted.
“Fuck! That's our car!” She took off running.
“Goddamn it! Who's breaking into my baby!” The man yelled before running off.
“Well, that was rather convenient.” Astarion said before Winnie grabbed his arm.
“This was fun, but it's time to go!” Winnie said before dragging him off and abandoning the bows they'd rented at the range. It took a moment for Astarion to realize that Winnie had been the one to cause a distraction.
“This was your doing? You sneaky little devil! I'm so proud, my love!”
“Yeah yeah whatever now let's get out of here before we get arrested!” Winnie pressed, dragging the giggling elf with her back to her motorcycle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I hate that some assholes had to ruin our Valentine's Day. God, I swear nothing good ever comes from this holiday.” Winnie huffed as she sat down on a blanket. Her and Astarion had made a little picnic on a hill out in the woods not too far from Winnie’s home. Winnie had gotten the idea of trying to head somewhere more private when she'd stopped at a rest stop on their way after the fiasco at the archery range.
“I wouldn't say that. You and I still get to spend plenty of alone time together.” Astarion said and scooted closer towards her. Winnie looked up at the sky.
“I suppose you're right about that. Brian and mom won't be back for a couple of days…” Winnie scooted a bit closer towards Astarion and leaned against him.
“I…Uh…I have something for you…. Winnie…” Astarion looked off to the side before taking something out of his pocket.
It was a small box of heart shaped chocolates.
“I'd still much rather sink my teeth into a different heart, but I'd imagine you'd prefer this.”
“Astarion…This is so sweet….Thank you….” Winnie took the box and nibbles on one of the chocolates, a smile stretched across her face from ear to ear. Astarion simply snuggled against her, planting a kiss on her forehead.
“When did you even buy ... .? Wait a moment…You stole these didn't you?”
“Ah….I may have done that….Yes…ah ha ha…”
Winnie let out a long sigh.
“What am I going to do with you?” She rolled her eyes before wrapping her arms around his neck and leaned in, nuzzling her nose against his. Astarion smiled and nuzzled back, the two pressing their foreheads together.
“Just hold me…” He whispered.
The two love birds were completely unaware as a figure watched them from far away. The figure was slender and corpse-like.
“Thou doth not know what thy actions will bring. It is only a matter of time.” The figure's echo of a voice rang out.
End.
Friendly reminder of the day: Spawn Astarion is an incredibly strong person. Let’s all say it together! This cannot and must not be questioned. Otherwise, it sends a message that cannot and must not stand—for everyone who fights their demons every single day.
Spawn Astarion is incredibly strong just for surviving Cazador. Spawn Astarion is someone who renounces the power of 7,000 souls and embraces their own fragility, their vulnerability, their (legitimate and sacred) flaws. They are someone who wants to learn to accept and love themselves as they are.
As Minsc—or rather Boo—would say, giving up the strength of 7,000 souls is an act of true strength. The words used to describe Astarion—brave and powerful—are no coincidence. Because putting others before oneself means being courageous as well as strong; it means choosing the hardest path and facing its consequences, no matter how painful they may be. It means taking responsibility, making amends, recognizing others and their suffering, and giving that value. It means growing, maturing, opening up to the world, and fighting your (legitimate) fears instead of indulging them. It means wanting to heal on a deep, intimate level.
And none of that is weakness: it is heroism. Well, now that I’ve said it, I can peacefully go on to face my day and my daily demons. Wishing you a good whatever-it-is-you’re-going-through as well! <3
Listen this platform may have led me to some of the most talented artists and writers I've seen, sure.
But more importantly it led me to the absolute chaos pit of feral blorbo gremlins with hearts of gold and lunacy, and for that I am forever grateful.
