hey! so here i am with the first opinion sharing, critic or whatever you want to call it on a song who just came out. almost just came out.

it’s called, as you may know right now, beautiful people by ed sheeran and khalid.

first of all, when ed sheeran announced this collab with khalid, i thought about how their voice are so different but how well they would match. let’s be honest, they are two talented artists and i love this song.

the harmonies. well, can we talk about it? i’m not a pro but i think their voice are matching together and it’s kind of powerful. plus, i don’t know if you can feel it, but i feel like those harmonies create a vibe, you know that summer vibe? i feel in a roadtrip or on a beach far from everything, just chilling with a couple of friends. personally, i love that. i travel with music like this one.

second point, the lyrics. well. ed is a good songwritter and with khalid, you know it would mean something. and we weren’t wrong! those lyrics are so powerful! we can totally relate about the fact that we are not all those famous and “beautiful” people. i think that’s why i loved this song at the first listen. even if both of them are famous, as i know about them, i can say they are humble and stay on earth, you know? they understood, with those lyrics, that we are not all famous and like popular as the society want and they create this song. i’m not as good as i thought i would be to explain my point here, but i’m pretty sure you can understand what i mean here.

the last point is the beat. i know it’s totally not a revolutionnary one, but i think it merges both of their style well? khalid has those simple beats and ed tries a lot of things, but in his own simple way so it perfectly reflects both of them. the fact that we can listen this song for almost everything (studying, roadtrip, chilling, pool party, etc.) is the point. it’s easy to listen. the simple beat is the reason why you can listen it wherever you want.

hi! welcome to the cloud coffee! first of all, i’m really happy you’re here! for the moment, i’m still thinking about how to really start this and how to make it the way i want. i will probably start with a book review. just to let you know, i try to diverse the books i read ans the music i listen, but young adult books and 5sos are my weaknesses. i’ll post soon my first impression.
