the disability of it all. the way matthew has never been given all the information or the agency to make his own choices, so he HAS TO depend on declan for more than one person can possibly provide. the way having community with people like himself and actually communicating about his needs almost immediately remedies the worst of his angst and creates a more sustainable network of care, opening up new opportunities for everyone involved. the way something out of their control can totally wreck that in an instant, and they have to rebuild it anew from the wreckage!!!!!!

Came back from a few exhausting weeks so I'm treating myself with trc doodles.

This is in the continuity of this post where i said i could make hundreds of those - and honestly i'm not kidding ; it's very therapeutic to make somehow.

the fandom reaction to adam midriff is so funny because it reminds me of that one time trc had that exclusive art in that edition (owlcrate) and everybody lost their shit

i love the detail that we get to see blue, ronan, and adam’s birthdays during the series. we see them grow up and contemplate their future beyond this weird year of their life.

but we never get gansey or noah’s birthday. (gansey’s assumably between nov-april and noah’s unknown), because they’re both stuck between being teenager and adults and don’t have futures to look towards.

finally, in the epilogue when gansey’s birthday has passed, we see him hopeful and living, and finally looking beyond this perpetual state adolescence.

but we never get to see noah grow up at all.
