I only care about punctuation if it helps the intended audience understand

Extended Ramble Below

people on tumblr have talked a lot about the way grammar and punctuation are developing on the site. so if I’m on tumblr I try to use the grammar (and punctuation) I know others will understand

If I’m texting a friend I might use better* grammar to get a point across. For example, it doesn’t always matter if I use a comma before “and”, “or”, or “but”; because most of the time you don’t need that comma to make people understand.

But sometimes you do. In English specifically (my native language) there’s a reason that grammar exists. It’s to help people communicate better in a bunch of different formats. So you don’t have to waste time over a miscommunication in how someone writes.

So that’s my why my grammar is inconsistent in informal settings. I forgot half way through my thoughts who I’m talking to and just start talking for myself.

My poor loved ones. The inconsistent grammar must be annoying.

Anyways I’ve satisfied my need to talk/think abt this topic. If anyone has thoughts feel free to share

Introducing Post?

- Call me Corvus if must call me something

- my pronouns are (Xe/Xem)

- I have dyslexia and adhd (and maybe autism) and due to this I like to talk(ramble) a lot but have a hard time being concise 

- This blog is an experiment to see if it helps me. The main goal is that I learn how to communicate better. (DM me or send an Ask if you’re curious about it)

I have terrible memory sometimes so I’ll probably update this a lot. I’ll try to make if obviously when I do, so curious people can check

- this blog will mainly be me rambling about stuff. I’ll try to make it enjoyable to read, but the focus is: I get to talk about whatever I want, however I want, for as long as I want

- I want to avoid more personal stuff b/c this is a public platform. This isn’t for me to tell strangers about my life. my life isn’t that interesting. But my life events are what cause me to want to ramble, talk, and think about Stuff. So certain personal experiences might be relevant

- I’m not expecting replies, but they’re not unwelcome. I also can’t promise I’ll respond back
