Roughly 3 years ago, I played Gris for the first time and immediately fell in love with it. I also started this exact drawing 3 years ago alongside another fanart piece that I DID finish. Art block hits me hard to the point that I will go months to years without finishing anything and it genuinely sucks because it used to be my passion. Had a spur of the moment feeling of creativeness and decided to revisit this one and complete it. :^)

I was feeling really manic during this one.

It was 3 a.m., I was extremely sleep deprived, and couldnt distract myself from my own head. It was what made it hard to sleep.

Decided to paint something really quick to try to ease my mind, and it really helped me a lot. Every brush stroke took off some weight on my shoulders.

Every morning and every afternoon on my way back from work, I drive by this big open field.

Theres a small rusty shed that sits on one of the hill tops. I always have to look over at it for a quick few seconds. For some reason it always makes me feel calm. It's not what a lot of people would consider to be a beautiful view. I mean its just a field. But it catches my eye without fail and brings me some sort of inner peace when I look at it.

It's what I look forward to seeing the most on my bad days.

This is my take on my special field.

"Day Dreaming"

I've been getting into painting recently. Its nothing I've ever been good at, but ive started to pick it up as a way to relieve intense stress and sadness.

My lifes been on an increasing decline over the past few years. Been smoking more to help, drinking a lot even though I know that itself is a depressant.

I'm trying to get better. Trying to find myself, who I really am. I know I'm not this sad shell of a person that I've become. But it's hard to remember who I was before all of this started. I dont want to be like this forever.

I wont let myself.
