Looking for a place to dine and hangout with friends at BGC? Why don’t you give Big Bad Wolf a try? The place is located on the vibrant street of Forbes Town Road. It is alongside other hip restaurants, cafes, and bars, on a street that you can call a  foodie’s haven.
Big Bad Wolf offers delectable dishes infused with Southeast Asian and Filipino flavors but are done in a unique way with better recipe choices that still complements the Filipino Palate.

This place is perfect for dining if you are looking for a place that can satisfy your hunger. Most dishes I’ve tried were scrumptious and surprisingly amazing. My favorites are the Seafood Squid Ink pasta which bursts a lot of flavors,

Their Pepper Rum Roasted Squash and Pako were good too. I didn’t expect that I will like it because it is just a squash lol.

GCash and 7-Eleven partnered up for barcode-based retail transactions
GCash, the leading mobile wallet in the Philippines, and 7-Eleven announced a strategic partnership that will allow GCash account holders to pay for their purchases in 7-Eleven through the revolutionary Scan-to-Pay (STP) via Barcode feature in the GCash app.
With the growing demand for cashless transactions, GCash and 7-Eleven are providing greater convenience and security to their customers by introducing the new payment option for physical purchases in 7-Eleven stores across the country.
“This partnership is anchored on the shared goal of enabling more Filipinos to participate in the digital financial landscape. By allowing 7-Eleven stores to accept GCash STP via Barcode payments, we are bringing the vision of building a cashless Philippines,” GCash President Anthony Thomas said.
To use GCash’s STP via Barcode, 7-Eleven customers only need to generate their unique barcodes through the GCash app and allow the cashier to scan their barcodes to complete the transaction.
These two easy steps streamline the already-frictionless QR code system. With STP via Barcode, merchants do not need to have a QR key code, which the customer scans to transact. Merchants also need not to have their own mobile devices to verify the payments, as STP via Barcode is already integrated into the merchant’s point-of-sales.
“After scanning barcodes to redeem promotions and reload accounts for over 5 years now, including taking payments from our CLiQQ wallet over the last two, we believe we have built the most convenient payment experience in the country, and that the time is right to open up our infrastructure to partners who share our vision.
We are pleased to partner first with GCash, whom we have been working with for several years.  Many customers already visit us to cash-in their GCash wallets, now they can use those same wallets to pay for their purchases as well as participate in our CLiQQ loyalty program.” 7-Eleven President and CEO Jose Victor Paterno said.
  Supporting BSP cashless vision
The partnership between the fintech leader and the convenience store chain pioneer also supports the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) goal of creating a more cashless Philippines starting this year by migrating 20 percent of the total transaction to non-cash means such as digital payments.
Already, based on a study conducted by the Better Than Cash Alliance, a United Nations-backed organization, the Philippines is close to reaching this target. According to the study, digital transactions now account for 20 percent of the total value of transactions, while 10-percent in terms of volume in 2018.
“As a strong government partner and the leader in mobile digital payments, we at GCash remain relentless in developing more products and services that will fit perfectly into the government’s plans for the country’s financial landscape. Our vision for 2020 is to continue to push for the development of the GCash platform to enable more people to participate in the digital financial revolution,” Thomas said.
STP via Barcode is now available in more than 2,800 7-Eleven stores in the Philippines. It is also available in most Puregold outlets and Starbucks stores nationwide.

Finding a place to unwind over the weekend but with only a couple of days to spare? Fret not, I’d love to share with you a place I was invited to over the last weekend. (Feb. 8-9, 2019)
Lily Vacation farm House is just a 3-hour drive southeast of Manila. This modern and charming farmhouse is situated at Jala-Jala, Rizal. Just the perfect place for a quick yet relaxing getaway!
Tumblr media
This farmhouse can accommodate big groups with a maximum of 25-35 people, families and even team buildings! You can do a lot of activities here like swimming, horseback riding, ATV’s are available too which can be used for free, a basketball court, tire swings, videoke, and even glamping under the stars with a bonfire! Imagine a small place that can offer so much at an affordable price. If you have other activities that you want to do, they have a massive lawn for that! They do have some farm animals too that you can meet and feed like pot belly pigs, polish chickens, guinea fowls and of course the/a horse which is available for horseback riding.

If you just want a quiet and peaceful staycation, this place is perfect for that too. The house has a perfect scenic view of Laguna de Bay, Mt. Banahaw and Mt. Makiling. You can just enjoy lounging at the veranda with the view of the color therapy pool (as what they call it) and the lake. Sip some wine or drink beers while grilling barbecues.

And for a more romantic evening, there is under the tree dining and an outdoor film screening available. More reasons to love this place! I mean, who does that?? Places with outdoor film screening always catch my attention and there are only a few places here in the Philippines (that I know of) who offers that. The other one is in Palawan. I hope we have more of that here 🙂
mde
mde

The house itself is spacious and clean. It has a fully equipped kitchen, 3 air-conditioned bedrooms with queen-sized beds, single beds and pullouts. 2 bathrooms are available inside the house and there are outdoor bathrooms and kitchen too near the pool. If you need help with anything in the farmhouse, there are 2 helpers available. I was able to ask one of them to help me with Chelsea, the horse because I want to do some horseback riding that morning. There is a saddle available if you want to ride her. Lol. No pun intended. Unfortunately, Chelsea was feeling lazy that day and only wants to walk. I want her galloping 😀 if you know me that well, you’d know that I love horseback riding!

My overall stay at Lily’s farmhouse was nothing short of incredible. I love the house, I enjoyed its amenities and how they set up the place that night. Just perfect for the evening!
The whole place is charming, serene and it has a lot to offer but what made my stay more enjoyable was the company I was with. I was invited by Jeepsetters PH to attend their very first Bohemian Bloggers Night event where they invited some bloggers, vloggers, and influencers to enjoy this lovely farmhouse. Thanks to everyone and it was nice meeting you all!

Have you heard of the virgin island in Bohol? Which one have you been to because there are actually two! Well, I will be talking about Isola di Francisco on this blog. The island’s municipal name is Pontod island. They just called it Virgin island to attract more tourists. It is owned by Ramon Rodriguez who also owns the Pio Del Pilar church at Eastwood, Libis. He was blind for 13 yrs and a devotee of St. Pio and when he got his sight back he promised that he will open this island to the tourists for free.
Tumblr media
This is not part of the tour. I was only informed by one of the locals that I can go to the island at a cheaper rate after telling him my plan of going back because I wasn’t able to see the sand bar the first time I went. He told me to go to the port the next day before 9am. There is a boat that services the locals to and from the virgin island.
Tumblr media
I was expecting that the virgin island I will be seeing that time was the island I went to 2 days before when I was on a tour (island hopping tour) but guess what? It was a different island!! It was the island I saw near the so-called “virgin island” I’ve been to the other day when I was on tour with the other tourists. The first “Virgin island” I was talking about looks like a sunken island or a naked island with a shack in the middle where they sell fresh bukos, banana cues, fried abalones, and sea urchins. There were also locals going from one boat to the other selling pearls etc. The water was knee to waist deep high. it was a fun experience too and a different one.
Now the real Virgin Island is different!! This one is guarded. It has security guards and lifeguards. It has trees, a chapel, life-sized statues, a store, and a clean comfort room. There are lots of doves too!! The sandbar can be seen and experienced on this island too. I stayed here from 930am till 3 in the afternoon just to experience the sand bar during low tide. Sandbar showed up at around 230pm. You need to check the tide calendar first before going here if you want to see the long stretch of sand or you can just ask some of the locals.
Everything in this place is for donation. I was able to go here and gave 70pesos to the boatman. I saw some just gave P20 or P50. You can also grab some snacks at their store like banana cue etc. some chips and soft drinks just by donating any amount. One of the guards told me that I can just give 1 peso. Lol. They also have shirts and Padre Pio’s figurine available at any amount you can give. You can also do kayaking for free or donation.
The island can be reached within 15minutes if you will come straight from the port.
Some might be disappointed because of what they did to the place. It doesn’t look like a virgin island at all but it has a great story behind it and the owner is generous enough to let people in, eat and kayak for free. It was once a private island but was opened to the public for free.
Total Expense of the trip = P140
Boat – P120
Bananacue and Softdrink – P20
**one of the locals told me that they saw a 3ft wide 4-toed footprint after the place was hit by Yolanda and there are ghosts too.

After accompanying my workmate with her errands for almost half a day. We’ve been thinking for a place to eat when suddenly A Veneto came into mind!
We were so hungry that time. We already ate our lunch at around 1:30ish. We ordered Nut Pesto with Chicken and Classic Calzone both good for sharing. A slice of All meat pizza and a slice of Bacon Cheeseburger pie which are larger than the usual slice.
  Nut Pesto with Chicken
Classic Calzone
Everything was superb and delicious!! The chicken that was on top of the pasta was tasty and they did not scrimp on it. Pesto pasta was ok. I also like their scrumptious bacon cheeseburger slice, it’s really good!! One of the best pizzas I’ve ever tried. The meals have portions that are enough for two or more people and there were only two of us. Like for the Classic Calzone, it can feed 2-4 people. We weren’t able to finish all of the dishes coz what we think was enough were actually a lot. We also had bottomless iced tea that time.
  Classic Calzone
All Meat Pizza
Bacon Cheeseburger Pie
If you, your friends and family are craving for an authentic Italian cuisine at a reasonable price A Veneto is the place to be. It’s a great value for money.

I need to be seahabilitated! First beach trip in 2019! I enjoyed watching the sunrise while working at the serene shores of this beach. It looks quiet at this hour but that is because it's only 7 in the morning. @crystalbeachresort is one of the surf spots in Zambales and there's no better place to try surfing other than here. Also, their surfing lessons are offered by @quicksilveroficial. Isnt that cool? Who wouldnt love this view while working their ass off?? Finally, I’d get to experience one of the famous attractions in Bohol. The Loboc river! When in Bohol, it is a must that every tourist should try this. After having gone to a lot of places that day, me and the group were starving. We were on a countryside tour and the Loboc river is part of it so we got to the place at already 1ish.
Can’t believe that I was able to dine and cruise the river of Loboc. It was a great experience. Food was ok, nothing extraordinary. The barbecue was good. I surprisingly liked one of their vegetable dishes. Dunno what it’s called but it kinda reminded me of my cooking. Lol. The ones where I always put Worcestershire sauce. I hope they served shrimp that day instead of crabs. I was told that they only serve one or the other. There was a good selection of Filipino dishes and desserts which I think is good because it is one way of showcasing our cuisine to the foreign tourists while enjoying the rustic, lush greenery of the surroundings. There was also a band serenading us with old love songs while on tour.
I was shy taking a picture of the food so I only captured the side of it. LOL
Buffet in the middle
Different nationalities I was with during the trip
2-man band at the back
The raft (floating restaurant) moves at a leisurely pace. Along the way, you will see some of the locals swimming and some just chilling under the tree and watching the tourists as they pass by. On our way back, we stopped at a small jetty and watched the famous Loboc Children’s choir dance and sing to the beat of some folk music.
This 1hr dine and cruise at Loboc costs P450 through the Tourism Information office beside Moon Fools Hostel. Not bad for the experience
You can also book the whole Countryside Tour through KLOOK

After hearing this place from one of my co-workers, we’ve decided to give it a try. The place is just located along Pagasa Street and near the market at Signal Village. I like their logo and the interior design. The place is just small but they were able to make it look nice. I like their brick wallpaper design, dim lights and how it is hanging from the ceiling making it look more of a mafia-themed restaurant plus their logo is nice too!!
Tumblr media
I ordered the Cheesemelt Bacon Mushroom Burger and their Ultimate Chocofudge Shake. I think Taguig is letting itself be known as the home of the colored burgers because I’ve been seeing a lot of eateries or restaurants nearby that have colored buns and I’ve read that line somewhere: “Taguig, home of the colored burgers.”
Cheesemelt Bacon Mushroom Burger
Ultimate Chocofudge Shake
It took them an hour to serve our food, so that’s a minus for us. The presentation of their food was great as well as the shakes, however, the taste was just ok. Patties are big but not juicy. As you eat your burger you will notice that some parts of the bun slowly separates from the rest. I think it is made of tiny doughs put in together to complete a burger bun just for the purpose of having multi-colored buns. It also resulted in having an airy, thin bun.
The burger tastes ok but it would be better if it is saucier or tastier. There’s only a small amount of bacon and I haven’t noticed the cheese or the cheese sauce neither the mushrooms.
The shake was topped with a Dowie donut, monde brownies, and a pop tart. The shake itself tastes like Choc-O, not even Chuckie. 😀
Tumblr media
They only have three choices of burgers: Cheeseburger, Cheesemelt Burger and the Bacon-Mushroom Burger (which is ok. Business-wise). It just varies if you want to try their challenge burgers or if you want to add cheese melt in it. There are more choices for the shakes rather than their burgers but I think that’s fine.
Tumblr media
Sister’s order
Overall experience for me was ok. I think it is because I’ve heard a lot of complaints from my sister and workmates before I even started eating. I guess I expected worse.
Cheese melt Bacon-Mushroom Burger – P120 (w/ fries, no drinks) Chocofudge Ultimate – P120
***We were here last July 11, 2016, when the place was just starting. So yea, this blog is outdated but you can check their Facebook page here. They added more to their menu and a lot of cute presentation and characters as well. I can say that their food presentation is Instagram-worthy! I just hope that it tastes as good as it looks.
(Apologies for the photos with poor resolution)

It was my second time here in Boracay but this time I was with my mom and 2 sisters. We stayed at Niginigi Nu Noos e Nunu Noos? Lol. The name itself is funny and it gives you that Hawaiian vibe. Haha.
Tumblr media
The place is nice. It has a garden inside and a pathway. The pathway is surrounded by plants. The cottages or villas are located at the second level (or maybe not all?) which makes the villas look like a treehouse.

The rooms are perfect and spacious. We booked the Deluxe Family Room with Loft. It has a king sized bed and two single beds in the attic. Each villa has a balcony where you can smoke, chill or just sit and take in the view outside your room. They clean the rooms on a daily basis. So after a tiring day from the beach, a 2hr stroll at D’ mall or any of the water activities it would feel great to just lie in your bed with fresh linen.

It was my friend’s birthday so we’re in for a treat. We decided to have Mexican food so we tried Andale by Agave at Sm Aura. It is just a small open space located at the corner of the sky garden.
While waiting for our orders they gave us a complimentary snack. Something to nibble on while waiting. Chips with 3 choices of salsa; Light medium and spicy.
I tried their quesadillas with grilled shrimp…

After all the hype and the reviews, I felt so ecstatic to dine here!
The place is classy, dim, spacious, elegant and sophisticated. I feel like I’m in one of Chef Ramsey’s restaurant. With the ambiance, the music and chef’s where you can see them prepare some of the dishes
Before dining here I checked most of the reviews in looloo about TE. So I would have an idea what dishes should we order…

Tim Ho Wan
One of the most anticipated restaurant openings in the metro. It is said to be the most affordable Michelin-starred restaurant in the world. But I read that it is a misconception. The branch here in Manila is not one of them but still, it’s still the same THW restaurant who received a Michelin star in HK. There is one of two in HK just don’t know which branch was awarded 1 Michelin star.

When you say Rustic Mornings by Isabelo, the first reaction you’ll get is all about the beauty of the place. how nice, picturesque the place is and stuff.
Well, yea… The place is really nice. It has a quaint, rustic and homey garden feel. Upon entering the doors or should I say gates of this place you’ll find yourself in awe. The place is surrounded by trees and plants with garden tables and chairs in between or a distance away from each other where it can give diners a little privacy. They even used empty bottles or shells as curtains (added privacy) lol
How they set this place up was really comforting. It’s like having a meal from your own garden. So relaxing. You can also wander around to check the quaintness of its place. you can see some memorabilia or vintage stuff hanging around or displayed on walls, cabinets or on top of the shelves. Most are empty bottles, pots, pans, lamps and some paintings.
This place is also good for a romantic breakfast or brunch with friends.
Now with the food, I tried their French Toast with Bacon and Hashbrown and partnered it with a Speculoos Vanilla Shake. The food was a bit disappointing. The french toast was ok. Bacon was overcooked, so it was hard not even crispy. Hashbrown was ok at first coz the breading or outer part looks and tastes like piknik that was put together but as you eat it, Its like ordering pikinik for a side dish. Where’s the Hashbrown??
Tumblr media
On the other hand, the Vanilla Speculoos shake was sooo goood!! Well, it should be because its a lil pricey. And I love vanilla.
Tumblr media
Vanilla Speculoos Shake
Will still give it a second try if ever someone invited me. Coz I’ve also read a lot of good reviews about the food here in Rustic. Maybe it was just the cook that time. Lol, kiddin. Haha.
The place is open until 4pm for walk-in customers then at night I think it is open for reservations only.
