I haven't named him yet. I saved him from the rain storms we've been having. He's been the only true survivor out of all the male bees I've been finding.

Bear with me on this one...

Okay.. so.. I haven't really talked about it.. but Eyes have been a common trend for my entire life. Be it in trees, stones, mortar, ect. They're always watching me. I can sense it, I feel it, I know if someone or something is watching me.

Today, however, I was looking for mushrooms in my neighbor's yard. While I was picking some, I got that weird ass feeling that someone was watching me. I turned, I looked, I did a whole 360 and nothing. So I went on my way.

Low and behold (pun not intended), in the dirt, is a yellow/green EYE orb type thing staring up at me. Dumbfounded doesn't even describe the feeling I was feeling about it. I, of course, as the little crow that I am, took it.

A few minutes and steps later, what do I find? The bottom half of an animal's eye socket bone. ಠ^ಠ

The universe has an odd sense of humor, that is for sure.

Here is the EYE in question.

Is it my new favorite bauble that I've found? Yes.

Is it possibly cursed? We'll find out! ಥ▽ಥ

Fun fact (if you didn't know already): Earwigs fight with their butt pinchers! And males with deformed or slightly crossed pinchers are more likely to lose.

They also, Do Not lay eggs in your ears. That is a Myth.

Anyone else have an unusual tendency to track bones down by pure instinct? Even if I'm not looking for them, I end up just.. kinda wandering towards them.

I can also smell them if they're wet/damp. It's how I've found a lot of mine... 😅

Sometimes I wonder if I'm really a vulture piloting a human body. Or some kind of Sidhe adjacent being.
