Dextrum sits at his desk as usual. He's been trying, lately, to focus more on work than Alvis.

But two of their employees had gotten in a fight just this morning, for the first incident in... Months at least. ... And now he can't get Alvis out of his head.

He's been trying to push it aside. But the thought of the man in a hospital bed hits him so hard, so abruptly, that he finds his eyes flickering. All work pulled to a halt.

... No way Alvis would consent to transcending. ... Dextrum finds himself frozen. Unmoving. Unable to focus.

Virus. Virus is very, very into utilizing bioweapons. Resident Evil style bioweapons - slave them and let them die killing their own.

Toxic really really really really likes the sound of screams. He's not picky. He'll use anything to get the best pain response.

Static goes for quick and humane. Usually guns or decapitation, etc.

Syke. Syke would probably break someone down to self-destruction.

Seth: He will never admit it outright, but Shane. Everything about him. He finds strength in him.

Hera: Currently, that would be a tie between Seth and Home. She's never found anything else to care about.

Syntax: Lovenox. Above all things. Lovenox has taught him what feeling is, to every extreme, and given him a companion who understands his innermost self.

Virus: Currently, he has nothing that he's attached to. Only his objectives.

Toxic: Weaponry. Custom. Weaponry. He makes it himself.

Static: His Hive, originally. Now? Minseo. ... There is nothing so valuable to him as everything Minseo is, from his obsession to his brute force to his depth of feeling. Minseo has taught Static obsession.

Syke: He's very much a hopeless romantic. Companionship, though he has none but his Hive.

Any— though I lean towards Seth or Dextrum

I'll stick to those two for now then, and add one from this particular blog. (My fault, the avatars look very similar at a glance.)

Seth likes to keep birds. Especially corvids, hawks, falcons and eagles. He keeps many of them in an atrium only he has access to, and he likes to spend time there to process when he's overwhelmed by humanity's shenanigans. He unwinds mostly by tinkering though, and many of his birds are augmented or modified in some way - rescues. He doesn't name them. He treats them as free and wild.

Dextrum... He. Really. Likes organization. Spymaster is The Thing he likes to be. He thrives in an office, in politics, in sabotage, because he's ambitious and restless. If he can't build his own empire he wants to help his owner do so. When he's not at work he's. Absolutely a mess. He doesn't know how to be still. So he can become a personal nightmare to anyone who isn't compatible with his control freak, neat freak, workaholic kind of nature. Given a sub? ....... Oh. The submissive is his fucking pastime. His unwinding. All of it.

Virgil, the SQUIP that is this blog's avatar, spends his time people watching. Learning. He likes to analyze things - psychology, sociology, politics, music. Everything that can be taken apart as a mental exercise. It relaxes him to be in control to the point of experimentation etc. You really don't want to end up on his table. Lol. There's more to it than that but he's gonna make me RAMBLE.

There's this innate knowledge that Dextrum is absolutely flirting.

Alvis receives an email. It's got an image attached. The words in the email are "I will be absent today, sir. I have ensured a proper stand-in. My shell took damage during my inspection of the lower income quarter of the kingdom. Please see attached." The email was clearly not meant to reach Alvis.

The image is of Dextrum himself. Nude, but cut off at the hips. There is a hole burned through his right arm and another through his right hip, straight through, cauterized by heat. The image gives a near perfect view of him, taken by a Google android's retinal camera instead of a phone. Some parts of him are not as human looking as others, but the curves of his body and his muscle definition are... Eye-catching, in the lighting, alongside blacks and red lightings of the shell hidden under his skin. He is posed to display his damage, so it almost looks as though he's flexing that arm in front of himself, his fingers splayed along his own hip opposite that arm.

Looking at his emails, Alvis was going through them one by one, as he did everyday. Any scam items were reported for phishing, emails sorted into folders as he looked through them. He could just set them to automatically move, but he was anxious he’d miss something important or that it would get mis-categorized if he didn’t do so himself. The few things that did get auto-sent to folders was anything for ‘Work’ sent by his boss, places he knew that just sent discounts, and anything signed up for that he truly didn’t want to, but felt he had to.

After it was all quickly organized, he selected his ‘Work’ folder. Automatically he opens it up, eyes skimming the text. Dextrum wasn’t to be in today? That would explain why he hadn’t seen him when he went to go do his morning check in, the android suspiciously absent. The news of Dextrum having gotten injured had him internally worried. Those parts could cost a lot, and people often replace broken things with cheaper material. He hopes the head will see the worth in properly fixing Dextrum.

Opening the image, his eyes immediately went to the holes. Thinking of what could’ve happened to inflict such damage during an inspection, those things should be safe! He was no wound expert in the slightest, but these weren’t exactly wounds. The clean nature of each hole should be easy enough to patch, granted they only hit structural places to maintain that human shape.

With that worry mostly assuaged, Alvis blinked as the full photo finally clicked in his mind. His boss right there, shirtless. Body so perfectly shaped where it was meant to perfectly mimic human skin, the metal and other parts not obscuring it in a way that could ever be considered ugly.

His face flushed red, and he scrambled to close out of the email. How was he going to face Dextrum, having seen and taken an extended look at his body to memorize his chest?

Why was he built so handsome?!?

Glasses missing, which he really needs those to see, the worlds too blurry without them, while his other hand is holding the phone to take the picture. Seems he has a bruise on his torso, and what looks like some dried blood specks around his nose.

Dextrum stares at this image in his visual display, which is hidden to others but right in front of his eyes, as it pops into view during a quarterly meeting with Malik.

"........ The progress is..." He continues to stare as Malik speaks. "... Workers need to be..." ... Is that blood? Bruising? He doesn't realize it as his own eyes flick between every color setting.

"So I'll be expecting..." Malik continues. Dextrum can't stop looking at the man's... Torso. ... Fuck, to see that beneath him, that face flushed and pleading...

"Dextrum."

His eyes flick back to Malik. "... sir?"

"... You're distracted." His owner's face is displeased. A downward curl in his lip despite a level of curious amusement communicated in his aura and eyes.

"... Apologies. Please repeat."

"I don't enjoy repeating myself, Dextrum. You'll receive an email instead. Perhaps then you can properly compartmentalize and prioritize to give a dignified response."
