🍭Pretty in Pink🍭 Ive been feeling very nostalgic lately, a little homesick and very quiet on Instagram, I'm sorry for that. Ive been thinking a lot about how I'm feeling. I really love living where I am here in Colombia and the little family that I have here and discovering new things and knowing a new culture. This is where I want to be right now. However, at the same time I'm missing important things back at home in Australia and that's sometimes hard for me to deal with, especially knowing life is moving along and changing while you aren't there, but then that's just part of it when you move away. To all my family and friends back at home, I love you all and I miss you a lot. I think of you all the time. To everyone else, I hope this flamingo with hibiscus (or flor de Jamaica in Spanish) that I painted over the last few days brightens up your day. Sometimes I try out a project a few times before I film and record it. With my sugar skull earrings I practiced them twice before filming. The first time I forgot to add the holes for the tassels and only realised after they were dry 😆 and that is exactly why I practice, so that I don't record those kind of mistakes. Now I have three different versions to wear 😊. With my rainbow clutch on my first try I didn't add the stars into the clouds, but I realised something was missing. I really like to make crafts that have a bit of detail. I'm not a 5 minute craft kind of person because I find doing craft really soothing and calming. I also want to provide real value in my DIYs and make things that are durable and relatively well made. I always wonder if people like to follow my longer tutorials or if it's too much. I've been forever thinking that I need some more 'kindness' to justify it in my user name 'kindness confetti'.
