There was a spring in her step as Yui practically skipped down the sidewalk. She had been craving cupcakes all day and now she finally had an excuse to get one. 

“So, you’re a Tsukishima right?” she asked  looking up at the boy. Despite being two years younger than she was he was almost a foot taller. “My brother played volleyball with your brother all those years ago. Strange how that happens.”

When they arrived at the cupcake shop, Yui pointed it out her arms wide. “Ta-da! The best damn cupcakes in all of the Miyagi prefecture, and possibly Japan. Just don’t tell Tetsurou, he thinks his place in Tokyo is better. He’s a liar”

Kei watched her walking in front of him. Actually he hadn’t done anything really to help her but still she was this kind to him. Why? Why exactly he deserved this? Tsukishima found more questions than answers and prefered to follow her instead of standing there dumbfounded as he was. He really loved those damn shortcakes and she was going to get him one he won’t complain one bit this for sure. He just nodded at her suggestion for the cupcake shop and somehow smiled merely a second. Maybe girls weren’t that bad? Or maybe most of them were to annoying for his liking. Either this or he was just to dumb to interact with the female part of humanity properly. Anyways.  Somehow her mood was refreshining and he started liking her company.

“That sounds like a great idea,” Yui said. She trudged through the snow up the hill. The kids looked like they were having fun on the softer of the two hills. The steeper one also ended near the pond. Many of the parents had probably told the kids to stay away.

Noya was right, there were a few older kids at the steeper hill but not enough to impact them.

“You wanna go down first or should I?”

Head tilted a little at the sight of all the children running around on the snow covered hill, Noya briefly adjusted his earmuffs so that he could actually hear his cute senpai better, “Yeah, I guess… forgot they’d be off too….” He didn’t usually get invites from Michimiya to do… well anything, so he wasn’t going to pass off the chance to get to know her a bit better. Not even an invasion of children on the snow covered hills would stop them. 

With a bright grin, the little libero pointed to the next hill over, “Let’s go check that one! It’s steeper so all the little kids’ll stay away and the sled’ll go faster!” Win win situation in Noya’s humble opinion.

“I usually do,” Yui huffed, walking him back to his room. “Thank you Akaashi-san. Go back to bed and get some sleep. I’ll make this up to you. Meet me at the cafe tomorrow, I’ll buy you breakfast”
