i got to go see the mets play this past week!!! i was there tuesday & wednesday, so i got to see syndergaard and stroman pitch, and all my favorite non-pitchers played at some point!!! i also saw jeff mcneil's dog willow and was so excited!!!!

finally bought my first baseball jersey!

kind of sad considering i'm 18, i've been following the sport for as long as i can remember, and been playing softball for just as long but i finally did it!! i've asked for one for christmas for probably the last 5/6 years and never got one, even though my brothers have got jerseys in that time (annoying!) but i had some extra money after buying my spring semester textbooks so i went for it! i got a home blue syndergaard jersey, and a white hat w a blue logo to go with it. i paid $99 for both, which is a hell of a deal in my book!!

sorry, but anyone who says this season was a success is spewing bullshit.

this was a WIN NOW team. this was a PLAYOFF team. sure they pulled it together at the end and the guys played extremely hard but there is literally no excuse for the mets to not be in the playoffs right now. i have a lot to say but i literally still can't put it into words.

it's september, which means i need to figure out which mets jersey i want for christmas

the obvious choice (for me at least) is a noah syndergaard one, and i would consider a pete one if literally everyone wasn't buying them. conforto or mcneil would probably be my next picks, but i also feel like i might just go completely off the rails and buy a christian yelich one because i love him

in other news i'm so glad that nicholas castellanos is finally in a city where he can thrive rather than get pulled down by the shithole that is the detroit tigers. having to watch him play there the last few years has been agonizing and i'm honestly so glad he's thriving (hopefully they learn to say his name fucking right though)
