Star Wars Alien Species - Nelvaanian

Nelvaan was a planet in the Koobi system in the Savareen sector of the Outer Rim Territories and was located at galactic coordinates Q-16. A frigid world, Nelvaan was home to the sentient Nelvaanian people.

The Nelvaanians were considered primitive to many, as they lived in tribal villages. Nelvaanian males became warriors and scouts while the females were builders, gatherers, and raised the children. Each village is led by a chieftain and their bond-mate along with a shaman who served as consultant on most matters. Shaman is elected through a series of religious tests and mutual admiration. A tribal chief is not chosen by trial, nor is he elected to his position. Instead, the chief's ascension is determined by the grace of the "Great Mother" and is established through a show of mutual admiration and respect among the entire tribe. Religion and spirituality are the center of Nelvaanian society. Elders are revered, as are mothers of all ages.

Religion was central in Nelvaanian culture, and the planet itself was referred to as the Great Mother. Therefore, when the Techno Union built a laboratory during the galactic Clone Wars that was powered by a siphon generator, a machine that absorbed geothermal energy, and the planet was plunged into an ice age, the locals became very concerned. The villagers sent all their male warriors to discover the cause of the Mother's plight, but none returned.

In the year 19 BBY, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker arrived on the planet in search of General Grievous of the Separatist Droid Army. After defeating a vicious horax, the two were escorted to the Rokrul shaman Orvos. There, Orvos declared Skywalker to be the prophesied Holt Kazed, or "Ghost Hand," and sent him off to heal the Great Mother. Skywalker followed Orvos' instructions and discovered the Techno Union laboratory and the Nelvaanian males. The Jedi freed the men and destroyed the base, later returning the men to their village.

Future generations of Nelvaanian males, however, retained the traits of their mutant progenitors, and as a result were larger than the females, who did not inherit the aforementioned characteristic.

Nelvaanians are closely tied by the bonds of family and kinship. They are superstitious, attributing magical powers to most technology, which they mistrust. Nevertheless, they are honorable and faithful once their trust is earned. Genetically modified male Nelvaanians are somewhat less astute than their female counterparts, and this extends to their social graces, as well.

The Nelvaanians are a humanoid Species with pronounced canine characteristics. They have blue-green fur, large teeth in a pronounced muzzle, and two pointy, independently movable ears. A thick mane of black hair on their heads extends down the napes of their necks, and this tends to whiten with age. A typical Nelvaanian male stands at 2.0 meters or 6.6 feet tall and weighs 130 kilograms or 286 pounds, while a typical Nelvaanian female stands at 1.5 meters or 4.9 feet tall and weighs 50 kilograms or 110 pounds.

Nelvaanian age at the following stages:

1 - 7 Child

8 - 20 Young Adult

21 - 30 Adult

31 - 45 Middle Age

46 - 64 Old

Examples of Names: Harvos, Orvos, Tuzes-Adaz.

Languages: Nelvaanians speak their tribal tongue of Nelvaanese, a series of growls and grunts with a surprisingly elegant written form. The Nelvaan people first appeared in Star Wars: Clone Wars 2003. In the commentary, the creators revealed that the Nelvaan language is actually Hungarian.

Life update:

My grandmother and my aunt died.

Not at the same time, but it was only 3 weeks apart.

Im moving across the US right now so I'm super super stressed and have been doing nothing but pack for idk since I posted the last chapter of my fic.

My other grandmother is going i to surgery in a few hours and we are all really worried about if she'll make it out of it.

Things are not awesome.
