Okay, so I've been working on a ton of human anatomy studies lately, and I feel like doing something different. Plus, I have time to kill between a bunch of loads of laundry today, so does anyone have suggestions for SW creatures or non-Human-like species?

thinking again about how much I wish more sentient species in Star Wars had tails

there's like... almost *none* in current show/film canon. not sure about the comics. think there might be some mentioned in books but with no visuals only text descriptions.

lots of aliens with other feline and/or canine features for instance... but never including tails??

He has long black hair. And as the wiki has already stated, shimmering skin like a rainbow, with bright yellow multifcated eyes. Other then that I am guessing he's humanoid

Some Twi’lek headcanons of mine:

1. Longer/larger lekku are seen as desirable, as Ryloth is a harsh environment and lekku are the Twi’leks’ primary fat deposit. More lekku fat = more body fat = good survival skills = desirable mate. It’s vestigial from when mating was entirely about survival of the species.

2. Twi’leks who know Lekku (Twi’lek sign language) sometimes accidentally sign what they’re thinking when they don’t mean to or shouldn’t. Like, they’re trying to lie about something but their lekku totally give it away. Or, they really like someone and they accidentally sign it. Kinda like an inconvenient boner.

3. Ryloth is a matriarchal society, and many groups of Twi’leks and groups influenced by Twi’leks around the galaxy match this. It’s often thought by non-Twi’leks to be male-lead with the women as objects, but this is a misconception based on the slave trade. Women lead much of Twi’lek politics and life.

4. The head caps are a bit like bras- they can be purely decorative, but some help support the weight of the lekku and reduce neck/back pain.

5. Trans Twi’leks get gender-affirming ear surgery (the TRUE top surgery!)

6. Twi’leks sharpen their teeth partly for aesthetic reasons, but also because as an omnivorous species, Twi’leks have strong bites for hunting- with sharpened teeth, they can do some serious damage. (Not as strong bite force as a species like Togrutas, but strong enough to kill smallish-to-medium-size animals)

Star Wars Alien Species - Kage

The Kage, a near-human sentient species native to the planet Quarzite. A spirited and dedicated people, they formed the Kage Warriors to fight the tyrannical Belugans, the other sentient species who inhabited their homeworld.

During the Clone Wars, the Kage warriors fought against the Belugans under Lord Otua Blank and Major Rigosso. When the Belugans kidnapped Krismo Sodi's sister, Pluma, Krismo led his warriors against Rigosso's soldiers and the Krayt's Claw's bounty hunters. Krismo and his fellow warrior rode Milodons and boarded the subtram.

The warriors were able to defeat Rigosso's soldiers and all the bounty hunters except Boba Fett and Asajj Ventress. Ventress was able to subdue Krismo, but double-crossed Fett. After giving Lord Blank his "bride," Ventress gave Krismo his sister after he paid her. Two brothers, Coburn and Rackham Sear joined the Confederacy of Independent Systems as officers in the Separatist military. Rackham Sear attempted to carry out a plan to bomb the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Sear failed in his attempt due to the intervention of Jedi Master Depa Billaba and Initiate Caleb Dume. Coburn Sear fought Billaba and Padawan Dume at Kardoa and at the Third Battle of Mygeeto. He was killed by Dume.

During the Imperial Era, a family of Kage, Ru, Halia, and their son Sadori Vushan, were members of the rebel group known as the Dreamers.

Although they resembled humans, their striking eyes and pale skin set them apart.

Examples of Names: Coburn Sear, Krismo Sodi, Pluma, Rackham Sear, Sadori Vushan 

Language: Kage have their own language. Like most species, they speak Galactic Basic Standard.

Idea for a Star Wars species: Humanoid with bio-luminescent Mikkian-like head tendrils, no nose, no ears, and an extra set of identical eyes under the usual pair (for humans).

(I just think there should be more species with various forms of headtails.)
