If someone were to create an rp blog for a character from Gilligan's Island, who would you most like it to be?
//Mary Ann. Of course it would be awesome to have the other castaways too, but the one I would probably want to rp with most is Mary Ann. I mean I really ship her and Gilligan, but they’re also great friends, and it’d be a lot of fun. Also I’ve been saving up plot ideas for months haha.

New MAG pic from that epic black and white Season 1 shoot! (What’s he so perplexed about and why is she pouting? Haha).
It’s courtesy of the interview Dawn did with Michael Yo. (http://celebrity.yahoo.com/video/yo-one-thing-mary-ann-234009550.html). It’s a cute three minute video.
The color one I’ve seen before - only once - but this is a bigger, sharper version. :)

"No, it wasn't pirates," Gilligan answered. "It was a really bad storm. It just came out of nowhere."
The excitement he had at meeting a real live mermaid lessened as he thought of the horrible storm that had trapped them.
"We've been here for a few years now."

"Sorry," the first mate apologized. "I didn't mean to sneak up on you. My names Gilligan."
"Hey… I haven’t seen you around before."

Shipping is so weird. You’re basically in love with their love and you get all these very real feelings. You blush and you get butterflies when they look at each other or stand next to each other even, and your heart makes all these pangs and skips and does the tango. And when things fall apart it really does feel like your hearts breaking. and it’s just so weird.

Gilligan shrugged, letting out a breathe. Here goes nothing, he thought.
"No, Ginger, there's no scorpion. I'm sorry that I lied to you."
He wanted to continue, but he paused, looking up furtively at the movie star.

"Nothing?"
The movie star didn’t believe that for a second. Smiling sweetly at the first mate, she asked, “Gilligan, there is no scorpion, is there?”

Gilligan sat on the dock, swinging his feet over the gray water below. He looked up as he heard footsteps on the wooden planks. “Sorry, ma’am. We’re closed today…there’s a storm coming.”

When are you going to ask MaryAnn out on a date/ She's waiting!
"She really is?" the first mate asked, astonished. "Oh, I don’t know. I’m nervous. She couldn’t really go for me, not a girl like Mary Ann."

The first mate glanced up, his eyes widening like saucers when he saw her holding the pen and paper. "Oh, it's..." He debated whether to tell the movie star or not. How would she react? "It's nothing."

Listening to Gilligan stumble and stutter over his rushed explanation, she knew there was no scorpion at all. But then what was the real reason for his visit?
As he flopped down on the ground, she giggled at his antics. Then, she spotted the pen and paper in his back pocket. Interest piqued, she reached down and pulled each object from his pocket.
"Gilligan, what are these for?"

Gilligan looked up and gulped to see the tall movie star standing next to him. He took a shaky step back. "Well... it's red.... and it has, uh, white stripes. And claws. And a, uh, stinger," he finished hurriedly.
In order to escape the movie star, he ducked down to peer under the bed.

As she watched the timid first mate glance around , skittishly moving from one corner of the hut to the other, she became suspicious. “So, Gilligan…” she began, moving to stand next to him. “What does this scorpion look like?”

Gilligan nodded in agreement as he nervously stepped into the hut. With the pen and paper in his back pocket, he walked around the hut, pretending to look behind tables for the elusive tropical scorpion.
+gingergrantthemoviestar
"Scorpions?" she repeated. "Gilligan… in the tropics?"
She certainly had never heard of a scorpion living on a tropical island in the Pacific, but nevertheless she stepped to the side to allow the first mate in.
"I guess the Professor must know what he’s talking about."

"I was... uh," he scrambled to think of an excuse. "The Professor said he was a scorpion earlier and he sent me to check the huts!" he improvised. He shoved the pen and paper into his back pocket. "Can I look around?"

Shaking her head, the redhead laughed lightly. “No reason, Gilligan. No reason at all.”
She fixed her attention back to the reason for his visit. “If you’re not here to see Mary Ann, are you here to see me?”

He was taken aback as Ginger opened the door. His eyes widened and his cheeks flushed. However, what she said confused him. With the pen and paper being hidden behind his back, he asked, "Mary Ann? Why do you think I'd be here to see her?"
+gingergrantthemoviestar
Ginger had seen Gilligan pacing outside the hut for nearly half an hour. At first she had considered asking him what was wrong, but the more she watched, the more he seemed to be debating with himself. So she decided to leave him alone. With a smile, she wondered if he thought Mary Ann was in the hut with her. That certainly would explain the nervous look etched on his boyish features. When he finally gathered the courage to come to the door, she smiled again.
Getting to her feet, she went to the door and opened it, just as the first mate’s hand dropped to his side. “Hello, Gilligan,” she greeted. “Mary Ann isn’t here.”

With a piece of paper and one of the Professor's ball point pens in his hands, Gilligan approached the girls' hut. Full of nerves, he raised his hand to knock on the door. He had thought of this ever since he had first since the redheaded movie star on the island, and now he was going to take the chance. They had only been shipwrecked for a few weeks, and he was nervous every time he talked to her.
Shaking his head, he lowered his hand, ready to get out of there. But then the door opened.
