She May Be The Most Unstoppable Scientist In The World

Dauqan is a woman scientist in what’s possibly the hardest place on Earth to be just a woman: Yemen.

The World Economic Forum ranks Yemen as the worst country for women’s rights. In Yemen, it’s illegal for women to just leave the house without permission from a male relative.

Even as a young girl, she was rebel. “I was a little naughty,” she says with a snicker.

She liked breaking rules. And proving people wrong. So when her parents told her she might not have the smarts to go into science and engineering — like her dad — Eqbal thought: Watch me. “I told my father, ‘I’ve heard a lot about scientists in chemistry. What is the difference between me and them? So I want to try,” she says. And she did more than try. She crushed it.

She was the first among her friends to finish college. Then she got a scholarship to do her Ph.D. in biochemistry at the Universiti Kebansaan Malaysia, where she studied the nutritional properties of palm oil.

Searching some old sketches, I have found these about young Disney Villains, for a oneshots series that I was writing sometimes ago.

For each of them I have actually a precise headcanon but I haven’t time to write it now.. so, in brevitas

Clayton is a young​, English nobleman of an ancient family. He is supposed to become the next Lord Clayton. He has also a sister, Lady Waltham.

Jafar is the son of Royal Vizier of the beautiful city Ababadur. His father is an awe-inspiring man who takes his wife, Jafar’s mother, in a serious depression. He has a twin sister, Nasira, and he’s in love with his best friend, Hadiya, the Sultan’s daughter. He thinks he can marry her, but she’s engaged to Sultan Hamed, who will become Jasmine’s father. (Jasmine is phisically very similar to her mother…)

Maleficent, whose real name is Viviane, is a young girl, third of seven sisters of a humble family. Her lover will be arrested and then killed by a blonde queen’s order.

Medusa is simply a girl really really in love with shiny things. Diamants are girl’s best friends, aren’t they?

Ratigan is in the drawing with his best friend, Basil of Baker Street. The two are obsessed with chemistry and science and try all the time to do strange experiments in the laboratory of Oxford, that they are attending together.

Mad Madame Mim is a very pretty girl, whose grandma was a potent witch. She’s so watched with suspect in her village by all the people expect for Merlin. They become friends and then they get married. (But when their son, Marrec, got seriously ill, they decide to learn magic to save him: Merlin, after has learnt that Marrec has to die in his destiny, gives up, while Mim puts herself in black magic using her grandma’s tombstone. Marrec dies. Mim gets a bit crazy).

Ursula is Triton’s cousin. She loves candies.

Alameda is an Irish child who loves adventures and horses. His grandad was Swiss. He simply can’t wait to go to America and lives happily in Texas, singing yodel, like his grandad has taught him. (He will find out he’s gay).

Simply amazing! I've been waiting for this video so long... can't wait for watching it again with my brothers 😍

Yay!! After months of work I am finally done! I had to rush finishing a few of the scenes because of my eye surgery in May (thay lazeeerd mah abyss), but other than that I went full out with this. But did you guys notice how long this was?!? DOUBLE YAY! :D

Apparently I really can only make 2 parts per year?? So that means that part 6 will be done this fall/winter! :D Up next we will finally properly meet the person who wants Charming dead!
