This card means resources, fruits and products, the material gains and the acquiring of independence and self worth through toil and applied effort. hello my gorgeous tumblr-folk. thought to give a quick update on my situation, i have managed to leave my abusive dad’s place, and have been crashing at my friend’s for a few days. I have not yet been able to find a job, however. I updated my ko-fi shop with all types of reading i offer and also single card pulls for questions. Sny donations or purchases would be immensely appreciated to help me get some groceries and back on my feet while i look for a main source of income. The Magician ( I in the Major Arcana) paired with Astragalus (Astragalus membranicus)

The Magician is the first person The Fool - the Seeker - encounters on their Journey. With one arm aloft, holding a crystal globe that attracts and magnifies cosmic energies, while the other arm points to the Earth, in a grounding, solidifying fashion, and standing with representations of the four Elemental Suits yet to be encountered, The Magician is the embodiment of transformation -  the changing of Divine Energies into physical manifestation.

The Magician signifies an important beginning, revealing to The Fool their potentials and possibilities. A great reserve of power flows through The Magician from the Universe, aided by the four tools of Creation, rooting deep in the Earth Mother. As with all things, it is up to us how this energy may best be used.

Astragalus, a Chinese Herb of long history, actually grows now in many climates. Known traditionally as Huang-Qi or “The Yellow Leader”, this warming, nutritive, tonic herb has been prized through the centuries for its ability to support and heal the body. Astragalus is primarily used to sustain and raise energy levels by strengthening digestion and assimilation; it is also an efficacious immune stimulant.

Used as both food and medicine - it is woody and so most commonly simmered in waters and soups, or candied in a double decoction specific to TCM - Astragalus is said to nourish and tonify the spleen, kidneys, lungs, liver, endocrine system, and the blood, as well as being a mild heart tonic. Modern research is exploring its uses during chemotherapy and for the treatment of HIV/AIDS.

Spiritually, Astragalus assists in creating the energy needed to manifest that which is desired. A potent herb of protection, Astragalus increases our ability to assimilate our life’s experiences, opens our heart to good will towards ourselves and others, and brings self-empowerment as we once again become a conscious creator in our own lives.

Such a fantastic reminder from a card we have not seen for quite awhile as we continue to navigate a confusing and conflicted world, perhaps feeling small and helpless in the face of such great change. The Magician emphasizes that our true power is Divine Ordinance working through us. Of course we have free will, and may do as we choose, but, Heavenly Essence is the power behind all that we manifest.

This is a wonderful “As Above, So Below” card. The Magician is our conscious awareness of ourself as an individual. All the Tools we need will be forthcoming; Spirit guides us and Earth anchors us. Feel your Higher Self coming through your personality today. Know that you have the perfect body and are placed at the perfect time to do the work that you have already laid out for yourself.

The Magician is also messenger. Reduce stress by staying in the present moment, noticing the magick in your day-to-day life, and surrendering to the power of your position in this time and this place. Can you feel the shift? You are exactly where and when you are meant to be. I do not say these things lightly. The Magician holds much power.

It is not up to the Universe to tell us HOW we do our work, that is always open for us to interpret as we will. We are here to work though - with our Spirit, through our lessons, because we can. Use all that you have available to you, to magikally manifest Spirit on Earth. That is our True Life’s Work, regardless of the details.

A WORD OF CAUTION: Because of its powerful immune stimulating properties, Astragalus is contraindicated during the active time of an illness or infection, in organ transplant patients, or those with autoimmune diseases. To clarify, it is a supportive tonic herb used historically for non-acute conditions.

Okay, so my roomate and I are trans disabled and homeless. We are living in a hotel until we get a check that will cover getting us in an apartment, but there have been more covid delays. I found out today that the lawyer took a leave for covid related reasons and it will be a couple more weeks at most.

As of right now my roomate and I are both sick. He has antibiotics and steroids, but I just need to rest and eat a lot. We were able to get some food necessities today because of the kind people on here and we now have tomorrow covered for the hotel bill! It would be really really amazing to rest more because my health has been bad. Tonsil stones are getting out of control especially, and thats just a bad sign generally, but not expected because I've been lightly sick at best for months. All that being said, please share and d0nate to help two disabled trans ppl recover. My friend @hostile-flower is doing drawings for anyone who gives $50+, but please be patient as it make take time to get drawings to people.
