Time to make some more fire cider!!!!! Benefits: -Boosts immunity -Anti-inflammatory -Digestive aid -Helps to control glucose levels There are different ways to make it but some of the ingredients I have here are fresh horseradish, garlic, ginger, onion, turmeric, habanero Chile, orange, lemon, cayenne pepper, parsley, rosemary, thyme, black peppercorns, all sitting in acv for about 3-6 weeks (the longer the better). Dinnertime!!!! There’s so many ways to make a stir fry. This one has carrots, broccoli, tofu, bean sprouts, peppers, eggplant and I’m sure I’m missing some other ingredients but, it’s packed with veggies, sauce and seasonings lol. I had this added to my meal prep for the week. If you are allergic to soy, there are other alternatives for tofu such as Pumfu (tofu made from pumpkin seeds) and chickpea tofu. All of it's good either way. @publix has more vegan friendly subs on their menu. They still have the tofu garlic and herb sub as well as the veggie sub. Now you can get a Meatless Turkey Sub with vegan bacon along with the Tex-Amex Black Bean Burger sub. The Meatless Turkey Sub uses the @unrealdelieatless turkey and @lightlifefoods bacon. The black bean burger is their @publixgreenwisemarket brand. If you don’t see them on the store menu, just ask for it or order ahead online in the Publix app. Also pictured are some lentil chips and avocado hummus. I think they were both pretty good. Much like their other subs, you can add any combination of ingredients to it that they have available. It was also suggested to ask that they heat up the vegan bacon some (or you can just toast the sun as well). I think I found my occasional lunch break food. Leftovers for lunchtime!!! Didn’t want to go around hungry the rest of the afternoon so I made a stop at home. Dinnertime!! I don’t always have the time to make every meal from scratch so I made this quick stove top meal trying out the vegan Korean BBQ flavored plant-based steak by Nasoya. It was on BOGO at Publix last week so I was like why not? It’s pretty delicious. The texture and flavors are spot on. It’s not tough or hard to chew like some alternatives I’ve had in the past. I will say if you are allergic or have an intolerance to soy, you’ll have to skip this one. I’ll see if I can find something similar with the same taste for my soy-free people. Went to @scoop50fifty ‘s grand opening of their brick and mortar store today in Summerville, SC. We called ahead to see if they had non-dairy options ANNNNND.....they do lol. They were out of some of their non-dairy milk-based ice creams due to an oat milk shortage and the soy flavors were gone but I did get to try two other flavors. The one I ended up getting was the Italian ice raspberry lemonade (I hope I got that right lol). It was delicious and tasted freshly homemade. They did say that more dairy-free options were on the way and they will also get a fresh ice cream scoop upon request to avoid cross-contamination when you order. They stay open late too because....ice cream. Not everyone around me is vegan so it's always nice to have a place to go where there are menu options for ALL of us.
