Ashoka gave up violence here after the Kalinga War ! So when I was in Odisha, mommy called me up and told me that there is a Shanti Stupa there, do visit. My mommy watches too much heritage stuff on TV and YouTube. Well I am glad that she does 🙂 This stupa is right on top of a hill and visible from the highway on the left side while coming from Puri to Bhubaneswar. Though built in 20th century only, but still worth a visit.
