In Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Bomb Buds (a type of explosive plant inspired by the Bomb Flowers from the Zelda series) appear in several locations. If Luigi tosses a Bomb Bud towards Mario with specific timing right before it explodes, a visual glitch will occur whereby Mario will continue to walk around with his arms up as though still carrying the Bomb Bud, even after it explodes.

This will also persist when Mario and Luigi assume their poses when preparing for Bros. Moves. The screenshot shows them teaming up for the UFO Spin, which normally involves them holding hands. However, only Luigi is in the correct pose while Mario is still stuck in his "holding a Bomb Bud" pose. This lasts until the area is exited or a battle is entered.
