Aurora of the Far East
In the land of the rising sun, Where the day has just begun, There lies a fierce and fiery sight, A sun that burns with all its might.
In East Asia, the angry sun, Seems to scald everyone, Its rays are harsh and unforgiving, Yet hypnotizing and bewitching.
The sky blazes in shades of red, As if dawn and dusk were bloodshed, High noon heat can melt steel, And make even the bravest soul kneel.
The trees bow down in reverence, To the sun's relentless presence, The rivers dry up in its wrath, As the sun takes its fiery bath.
But amidst the anger and the heat, There lies a beauty that is sweet, For when the angry sun does set, The sky is painted a mystical violet.
And as the night takes hold, All is bathed in silver and gold, A calmness settles over the land, As the sun releases its angry hand.
In the glorious sun of East Asia There is a sense of euphoria, For when day finally comes to an end, Dusk settles anew for all to mend.

The Setting Sun
The sun sets on the past a vibrant display of colors painting the sky in hues of orange, pink, and gold
The sun dips below the trees releasing the hectic day as night takes hold again a quiet moment of ease
Memories flood back in as the day fades away of moments cherished that wait to be told
Though the sky may darken and the night may fall rest assured that dawn brings new possibilities

Unihipili - Haiku
In the depths of our soul Unihipili resides Guiding us within
A silent force, strong Whispers of intuition Leading us along
Like a gentle breeze Unihipili’s soft touch Guides us towards peace
Listen to its voice Wisdom from deep within us Navigating life
Through trials and joys Unihipili stands firm In our hearts it beats
Unihipili, oh Companion of our journey Forever with us
Embrace its presence In the silence, hear its call Leading us to light
In times of darkness Unihipili’s flame shines Leading us to hope
When we lose our way Unihipili’s compass Points us back to truth
In the dance of life Unihipili leads us Through the ebb and flow
Embrace its wisdom For within it lies the key To our inner peace
Unihipili, oh Guardian of our spirit Forever with us

Your Smile, by Vivek Raj
How could one feel,
Both powerful and weak,
At the same time,
In front of your smile,
A feeling best explained,
As the best part of my life.

This be the verse, by Philip Larkin
They fuck you up, your mom and dad
They don’t mean to, but they do
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra just for you
But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another’s throats
Man hands on misery to man
It deepens like a coastal shelf
Get out as early as you can
Don’t have any kids yourself

Overflow
Sometimes a little bit spills, A drop of emotion escaping control And staining the fabric of composure.
It trickles down the edges, Seeping into the cracks of restraint And pooling at the feet of vulnerability.
A whisper of truth, a hint of regret, A sprinkle of longing, a splash of anger, All muddling together in this mess of feelings.
But in that spill, there is a release, A yield from the burden of holding it all in, Liberation from the pressures of perfection.

Old Skool Fool
Takin ya back to the ol' skool, When the beats were smooth and rhymes were cool, I may be an old fool, but I can still rule With the words that I drop, I’ll make you drool
Back in the day, we knew how to party No need for designer clothes or a fancy Ferrari Just good friends, good music, and some Ol’E We’d dance all night long, no such thang as paparazzi
I miss those days, when life was so simple Living each moment, the only worry was a pimple No Instagram, Twitter, or Snapchat to dimple the memories, Our minds were free and nimble
But times have changed, and so have we Now we’re caught up with all the technology But when I hear that old school beat I travel back in time, to nights out on the street
In the hood our club was the concrete Hand ball courts is where we’d all meet To rap and dance and do the centipede Everybody knew Don’t Sweat the Technique
So let’s take it back, back to the basics Let’s groove to the rhythm of a Slick Rick classic Forget about the drama and all the phony plastics And remember the joy of living without all the static

I’m fine
When I said I’m fine
I really meant, please help me.
When I said I’m just tired
I meant I’m hanging on by a thread.
When I said I’m okay
I meant I can’t take this anymore.
When I said Don’t worry
I meant show me you care, please.
When I said I’ve been better
I meant I have never been this bad.
When I said It’s nothing
I meant I’m completely broken.
When I said I’m trying
I meant I haven’t stopped crying.
When I said How about you?
I meant I’m so lonely.

A dish best served cold
Why must you be such a nasty prick? With your sharp words and your cruel tricks Leaving nothing but pain and sorrow in your wake Is it some kind of sick pleasure you take?
You wield your tongue like a razor blade Your cruelty spreads like poison sprayed What joy do you find in causing such hurt? Is it your goal to make me feel like dirt?
Your words sting like a thousand bees Leaving scars that no one else sees You tear me down to make yourself feel tall But deep down, you must feel really small
You revel in my pain Taking pleasure in my tears You feed off my misery And thrive on my fears
But I refuse to ever let you win Or let you break me down again I’ll wear your scars with pride and grace And watch as they fade without a trace
Laughing as I soar to epic heights Knowing all the secrets I intend to write Reveling as karma fittingly inflicts Retribution on you, you feeble trifling...

Luna
I gaze upon your soft and soothing light A constant source of comfort through the night A gentle glow that soothes my weary soul A guiding force that helps make me whole Hidden from view lies my dark side Obscured in shadows where fear resides Shifting through phases I wax and wane Cycling through growth and moments of pain I grow, I diminish, I succeed, I fail Like the faithful rhythm of an eternal tale
The moon reminds me I am still whole, And just like the moon I must go, Through phases until I can be full again To get past the state I am presently in So, I will welcome the shifting tides, Embrace the journey and take it in stride Radiate my inner light, just as you do To unmask the stages that I must go through For like the moon, I am destined to rise, And shine brightly again in the darkened sky.

Our inner child
The little one inside us, who remembers all, holds onto every memory like a fragile glass doll.
They see the world through innocent eyes, filled with wonder and endless drive.
Every moment etched into their heart a priceless piece of our life’s art.
In the quiet moments, when the world is still, they whispers softly of dreams unfulfilled.
They remember the laughter, the tears, and the pain, the moments of joy and times of disdain.
They know our deepest fears, our hopes and desires, they see through our masks and never tire.
They hold onto the past, like a treasure to behold, reminding us of stories that need yet to be told.
So let us not forget our inner child within, who holds onto our essence, our original sin.
The little one inside us, so pure and true, reminds us of the magic we once knew.
For in their innocence, we find our way, back to a time of endless play.
They mind our journey, and know what’s done guided by the memories of days long gone.
As we grow older they do not fade but linger on in the shadows where they’ve stayed.
Enshrined by innocence so pure and true they remember all that we’ve been through
When life gets tough and our will lessens they whisper to us their voice beckons.
To remember the joy the love, the light that once burned so bright before the long dark night.
So let us listen to our little one and find the strength to persevere and carry on.

Rebirth
In the quiet darkness of the cocoon, I lay dormant, still, and alone, wrapped in a blanket of my own making, shielded from the world outside.
But deep within me, a spark of light refuses to be extinguished, a tiny ember of hope, burning brightly in the shadows.
And then, one day, the walls around me begin to crack, the light filters in, and I feel the stirrings of change.
I emerge from my chrysalis, transformed and renewed, a butterfly, ready to take flight, to soar high above the pain and the fear.
I am reborn, a creature of beauty and grace, with wings that shimmer and shine, no longer bound by the constraints of the past.
I am free, to explore, to dream, to live, to embrace the endless possibilities, of this new and wondrous life.

My Sweet Girl
Please forgive me, my sweet girl For all the times I failed to see The little things that mattered most In your world of innocent glee
Parenting is a difficult voyage With no roadmap to lead the way Just trial and error, highs and lows As we navigate each passing day
I've stumbled and I have faltered Infecting you with my melancholy Repeating the traumas of my childhood From my own parents’ reckless folly
I tried my best to shield you From the darkness within me But it seeped through, leaving marks That only you and I can see
I know now the impact Of my actions on your heart The way you shelter yourself Behind an invisible guard
I recognize the pain in your eyes From the hurt that I was causing All the tantrums and the tears When you were just barely coping
I shouted when I should have listened I pushed when I should have held I retreated into my sadness And lingered there to dwell
I know I can't undo the past Or erase the scars that remain But I promise to continue to try To mend the wounds and ease your pain
You are my sunshine, my reason to smile The light in my darkest of days Please forgive me, beautiful girl As I work to mend my broken ways
I vow to do better To learn from my mistakes To be the mother you deserve With every breath I take
I am not perfect, I'll never claim to be But I'll always be by your side And no matter what may come, my love I promise I will always provide
A place where you feel secure and loved A safe harbor for all of life’s uncertainty For you deserve nothing less, sweet girl From now - until eternity

Unihipili
In the depths of our souls, a spirit dwells Unseen and unheard, yet present and true It guides us through life’s ever winding trails An ancient force, both old and brand new
Unihipili, a term so rare and deep A concept from a distant, sacred land Where spirits roam and sleep A place where nature and man go hand in hand
This unihipili, a part of our being Connected to the earth, the sky, the sea It whispers to us, beyond what we’re seeing A symbiotic bond, as old as can be
We feel its presence in times of strife A whisper of wisdom from deep within A comforting hand in the darkness of life A guardian of our spirits journey herein
It speaks to us in dreams and quiet moments A gentle nudge, a soft, subtle touch Enlightening us with its ancient components Teaching us to love, and care, for much
Unihipili, a force of nature's design A reminder of our place in the grand scheme It brings us peace and helps us to align With the universe in a harmonious stream
Some may doubt its existence, its power But those who feel it know it to be true A constant companion, in every hour Guiding us in all that we say and do
Unihipili, a sonnet in praise of thee A spirit so pure, so full of grace In your shadow, we find serenity A connection to the divine, in this earthly place.

Perfection
In a world where perfection is prized, And anything less is ridiculed and chastised. We chase after an ideal that’s impossible to surpass, A standard set by society that we will always fail to grasp.
Perfection, a mirage we see in the distance, A goal that we foolishly chase with persistence. We measure ourselves against an unreasonable standard, And beat ourselves up when we fall short, feeling shattered.
But what if perfection is not the goal we should seek? What if instead of striving for ideals, we simply speak Of embracing imperfections, our quirks and our flaws, And realizing that perfection is simply a lost cause.
So let go of the need to be flawless and pristine And instead, focus on being kind and serene Finding contentment and peace within ourselves, For true perfection lies in accepting what dwells,
Within our hearts and souls, in all our imperfections Accepting our flaws, and making connections To others who struggle with their own quest, To face their demons and make progress at best.
Perfection is an illusion, a curse that’s been disguised, A sirens song that tempts us until we’re mesmerized, Abusing and belittling and criticizing us, or worse And in our imperfections, is where we find our true worth.

The Present
In the present moment, I find myself in a bind, Struggling to find my place, searching for a sign. The pressures of life weigh heavy on my mind, But I must keep going, leaving the past behind.
Every day is a battle, filled with highs and lows, I try to stay strong, but sometimes it shows. I long for peace, but it seems so out of reach, Yet I hold onto hope, believing I can teach.
In the present moment, I find myself lost. Caught in a web of uncertainty and exhaust. The miseries I have faced loop in my thoughts. Only I know the truth of the wages I’ve fought.
The past and the future, they tug at my mind But in the present, true peace I must find. I search for a way to break free from this cage To live in the moment, to turn the page.
So in the present moment, though I struggle to see, I’ll search for clarity and trust in the journey. Keep pushing forward knowing what I’ve overcome, Through the gift of force from the battles won.
Fight through the hardships, never giving in, For I know deep down, I have the strength within. Face my fears head-on, with courage and grace, Hoping to one day find my rightful place.
I stumble and fall, but I rise once again, Ascending like a phoenix, I know I can mend. My strength and my courage, they begin to grow And in the present, I find solace and flow.
So here in this moment, I choose to stand tall, To embrace the present, to answer the call. For though I may struggle, I know I am free To live this present moment, and truly be me.
