My Levihan "Pillow Talk" Headcanons

Their first pillow talk happened when Isabel and Farlan died in the expedition. Hange did comfort Levi and didn't realize it was the start of their pillow talk, hence the start of their relationship's development

Their relationship is both developed by just Hange going to Levi's room just to talk to him or vice versa even without consent because they had each other's door keys. And when Levi's going to Hange's room just to talk and Hange's still haven't finished their work, he would subconsciously clean their room to wait for them then they talk random things

They both also knew each one's past, their present thoughts and also their future plans in their pillow talk

Sometimes, when Levi will initiate the pillow talk, is because he can't sleep alone that night so he either call Hange to go to his room or he will go to Hange's room (not just to have a pillow talk but to clean lol);

On other side, Hange will initiate the pillow talk, with the same reason with Levi. Hange has an unlimited energy to work and sometimes their energy won't go down even the work's already finished, so they waste their energy to by talking with Levi

Hange be feeling hurt when people ignore them when they initiate the normal talking (about random/personal stuffs, but when talking about Titan or their researches, they understood the ignorance). For them, talking to their friends or to random strangers is their way of establishing bonds;

But when Levi came along, Hange realized that they found the one who is really willing to listen to them, that's why they knew Levi's the closest friend they ever had. And from the typical normal talk, it advances into pillow talk;

So when Levi submerges to sleep from their pillow talk, Hange is not really mad/feel hurt, instead they are relieved, knowing that Levi's has a terrible insomnia and making him sleep by pillow talk is them giving him a free therapy

They both knew that this pillow talk will show how much they care for each other;

Their relationship being established in their pillow talk can be seen on how Hange took care of Levi during that forest scene

Hange talking to themselves while being asleep in the forest scene is actually Hange always do when Levi's fell asleep from their pillow talk;

They talk the things they want to tell to Levi but they can't say it directly to him awake, especially of their feelings towards him;

Sometimes, they just admiring the beauty of Levi's sleeping state while talking to themselves by lightly tracing his facial features and fixing his hair. They also hold Levi's hand lightly so he won't wake up and sometimes fixing his blanket;

Hange's always kiss his forehead when he fell asleep to say goodnight (and vice versa);

Levi won't admit but he listens to Hange's mumbling and pretends to be asleep so that he can listen the things Hange won't say to him while awake. Levi already knew about these feelings Hange's been talking to him, but he never tell them that he was listening, he's just keeping it to himself;

The cue of Levi's sleeping if he can feel Hange's fixing themselves to sleep

Hange (and Levi, but rarely) do sometimes sings a lullaby

On the other side, when Hange's the one who fell asleep first, Levi would stare at them, also admiring their facial features. But unlike Hange, he just keep it himself the things he wants to say to Hange when awake;

But Levi did talked to himself one time about his feelings towards Hange, but unfortunately, Hange's in deep slumber

He always pull off Hange's glasses when the pillow talk's finished. Hange knew it would be a bother if they sleep with glasses on, but they just won't pull it off immediately, they just wait for Levi to always pull the glasses off. This is one of the intimacies they want Levi to do to them

They are too intimate on their pillow talk, especially when they talk about personal matters. Levi's cupping Hange's face when they got too emotional, intense staring to each other, Levi's stroking Hange's hair are some of the examples, the intimacy raises to 50% when it's raining or winter

At first, when Hange's talking, they are sitting on the bedside or sometimes they sit in a chair, but Levi's on the bedside near Hange, lying down, but the time changes, they both lying down comfortably, or to some extent, on top of each other;

Either is the top or bottom. They're both each other's "pillows", but actual pillows do exist in their bed

Considering the forest scene, that *might be* their last pillow talk

Attack on Titan isn't a romance anime but at the same time it is because romance is the part of the plot

(And I'm just disappointed to some people who doesn't like the addition of romance in a non romance story especially when the badass female ones who are involved because it decreases their characterization, like how is even love makes someone weak. Love is a great motivator btw, people are just misinterpreting romantic love and love isn't just limited to romance)

Even Levi's heavily injured (and partly unconscious), he will always listens to Hange's ramblings and always use their theories as facts. What a dedication

I'm so curious about what will Isayama's wife would react when she knew that most romantic ships in SNK are destroyed

So multiple alternate universes exist, so what if Levi convinces Hange to just live with them in the woods? Alliance won't exist and the Rumbling will not stop.

This gives us the impression of both Levi and Hange are selfless enough to make an impossible decision in this current universe. They both choose the hardest choice even it involves sacrifice and they will never regret it. For them, responsibility is the most important among all things.

I do believe Levi letting go of Hange is the thing he won't regret. Even Hange's dead, they are still in his heart and he will always remember Hange. And as you can see, Eren and Mikasa has the harder situation than them, because Mikasa has to forcibly forget and kill Eren.

This is so painful for both of the Ackermans, but they must continue living and surviving despite all those traumas happened to them.

Levihan HC when Hange has a child with some random baby daddy (and ran away with his responsibilities) and when Hange told this to Levi, Levi automatically volunteers himself to be the father of the baby because he doesn't want another baby to grow up without a father

If Hange's gonna be a Beast Titan...

Their beast titan powers was given directly by Zeke himself. Hange has been having this titan serum with them and they transformed into a pure titan and went into Paths. At the same time Levi decapitated Zeke, Hange also bites Zeke's neck and drinks his spinal fluid.

Judging by Hange's beak nose, they became a bird titan, same as Falco

So Levihan is together with Fabi (Falco x Gabi, idk their ship name)

Levihan actually adopted both Falco and Gabi

Then they explore the world just like a complete family. Their transportations are beast titans of Falco and Hange's, with Gabi and Levi riding their respective partner's titans

Hange also made the antidote for the 13 year curse of Titan Shifters and they tried it with Falco

My Levihan Theories...

(I'll try to summarize my own interpretation on what really happened between their relationship and how did they end up like that)

Disclaimer: I used they/them as Hange's pronouns

When Isabel and Farlan died, Hange tried to comfort Levi as much as possible. Hange did promise to treat Isabel and Farlan meal if they survived in that expedition, and unfortunately, they didn't. So this promise went to Levi, since he's still in pain of losing his closest friends. At first, he didn't want to be taken care of, but Hange is so persistent, and weeks (maybe months?), Levi just let Hange do their things.

Unexpectedly, Levi felt something about Hange. At first, he was so confused about this feelings and realizations keep hitting him, why is Hange is so persistent to take care of me? Did they care for me because they want me to be like their study material, because are they so curious about my abilities? They should give up on me, they won't gain anything from me. But Levi realizes that they don't really care about his abilities; they are just persistent to be with them, as their friend, and that's when Levi felt different to Hange, it's not the same feeling as he felt with Isabel and Farlan. It feels like they treat me more than friends.

Levi was right on that assumption. Hange really treat Levi more than friends and Hange themselves didn't even realize that is because they genuinely want to help Levi with his pain, and they don't want Levi to be alone because they understood being in that same position before. Hange is as confused as Levi. And also, Hange is also shocked that they cared Levi so much.

Hange and Levi have this moment that they have to confirm their relationship to each other. They both confessed their feelings and that is the best thing happened in their lives...but;

Weeks after, Hange and Levi both knew that the responsibility as a soldier is the most important of all, since they are both promoted in their ranks, and they can't really have the time to take care of their relationship. So they eventually broke up, but they promised to each other to maintain the relationship that they started.

They both also agreed to try to 'act like strangers' so that others won't suspect of their relationship, but the word 'try' is an understatement because they failed to even try.

Years later, when Hange became a commander, their relationship became drier because of their bigger responsibilities that was given to them, even though Levi became one of their right hand man. They can't even talk to each other's personal things, especially Hange's.

The forest scene is where their bond reattached again. Hange don't even care about the chaos and they are so desperately want Levi to run from these responsibilities and just live with him together, but seeing Levi's sleeping mode, they latter realize the agreement they have during that break up: They had this responsibilities as soldiers, and we have this oath to maintain humanity more than of ourselves and we should protect it at all cost

Adding to that agreement before, they also discuss about some 'what-ifs', what if one of us die? Both of them agree that this is something that they are scared of. They are scared losing each other. If Hange was the one who died, they told Levi that he should live his life to the fullest and marry someone and have a family, and if Levi's the one who gonna die, Hange should forget Paradis and explore the world by themselves.

They also both agreed if there's a tiny possiblity of surviving the war, they should retire as soldiers and live together and they will explore the world together

As when Hange died, Levi will never say his goodbyes to them, Hange is always be alive in his heart

Levihan Realization #001

So they have given two choices:

1. What if we live together (in the forest)?

2. What if we die together (in this fight)? (They could gave up living during the Levi rescue scene BUT THEY DIDN'T)

And they both choose we're gonna fight and finish the rumbling together, and one of them had to give up their life for the sake of others, even the other one will be living alone.
