SO I’M GONNA BE SLOWLY POSTING SOME OF THE NEW ARTWORK I MADE THIS YEAR AND HAVE ON MY OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA 

So I’m working on a comic about this secret facility that experiments on psychics and the supernatural [sound familiar? lol it’s loosely based on the Red Beauty fanfic i wrote called Subject 204 complete with spinoffs Subject 223 (featuring Swan Queen) and Subject 219 (featuring Pricefield)]

The new story will be set in Canada, in the Greater Vancouver Area.

I wanted to make these kinda look like facility files on the characters, which is pretty interesting to do since it involves viewing the cast through a cold, “scientific” lens, or like they were written by one of the facility staff. ⠀ ANYWAY here’s Subject 503, one of the major characters in the comic. 503 is a werewolf that’s been kept at the facility for several years and she’s one of the most prized subjects. They’ve conducted A LOT of experiments on her and she takes it like a champ, but maybe the scientists have gotten a little too comfortable with dehumanizing her.⠀

I based her werewolf design loosely on red wolves and coyotes. More sleek, more pointed snouts, bigger ears, etc.⠀ ⠀ She’s also scrawny and scarred up af after being experimented on for so many years.

Hello friends

After being off of tumblr for like 5ever, I think I wanna try and get back into this community because I miss the vibe here. I’m also frustrated with how much work I’m putting into my other socials and how little engagement I’m getting in return.

ahhhh. I feel terrible about making y’all wait AGAIN. We were SO CLOSE to finishing it before the holidays but then the holidays happened then life happened then the pandemic happened and now I’m just  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Still, I’mma try and find some time to work on it.

Queen’s Scouts

So I finished Issue One and my usual curse kicked in. But NOT OUT OF LACK OF INTEREST. I still love the project and issue two is still in a weird production limbo with half the pages inked and the other half in tied down sketches and then about a third is in the flat color stage.

Moving to another country has made it hard to coordinate with my co-artist David, so we’re kind of in a weird place now and I just… don’t know??

AND NOW I’M WORKING ON A NEW PROJECT

So remember Subject 204?

That story still holds a HUGELY special place in my heart.

I’ve reworked the story, changed the cast and am now developing it into an original story that I’m going to make into a webcomic!

It’s in the preproduction stage now. I have the script for chapter 1 and 2. Character and environment design is chugging along and I aLMOST have a title!

I did the SixFanarts challenge last month! Ruby will always ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart. Connor is goodboi. Jason is also goodboi. Garfield is chonk. Popeye- no idea why someone suggested him but HE WAS A FUN CHALLENGE TO DRAW IN MY STYLE.

Attention anyone who needs hairstyle references

I want to introduce all of you to this amazing place called the ukhairdressers style gallery.

It’s basically a massive database full of high-quality images of different hairstyles. I mean, look at all the options in that sidebar (and part of it’s cut off):

In total they have 976 pages of hairstyles with about 17 styles each, that’s about 16592 hairstyles to look at.

I watched Alexa & Katie a while back and I’m just… hooked?? af 

Like it’s not gay, but if you squint enough it can be but like either way it is a HILARIOUS ride and it brings back that fun kid sitcom vibe of Disney Channel and Nickelodeon.

This is amazing work you guys are doing. I need to ask though: how do we know for sure that the profits minus production costs are really going to the Trevor Project? I don't want to say I don't trust you but I've been burned many times before. Perhaps you could create a public Trevor Project fundraiser in the name of supercorp zine and proceed to donate as soon as you get money. Immediate transparency will get more people buying + publicly available proof will be good for the fandom reputation

We completely understand your concerns with how the money is being handled and where it’s going to end up. We’d love to have the immediate transparency you’re referring to because it would be better for everyone involved- the mods included!

The reason we can’t donate the money (minus production costs) immediately to a public fundraiser is because as of now, we don’t have any production costs. We haven’t ordered any of the zines, merchandise, envelopes, etc. yet. We’re waiting until pre-orders are done to order them, that way we can be sure we are ordering the correct amount, plus the needed extras (for the contributing artists, lost zine packages, etc.) Doing it this way is cost effective because we won’t be purchasing more zines/merch than is necessary, meaning more money can be donated instead of it being used to buy an enormous amount of excess products. This is why we can’t donate immediately: there’s no way to know how much to donate from each sale yet.

Steps we will take to make sure the buyers are as comfortable as possible:

Show our PayPal account activity. Beginning of May (after the pre-order period), we will put up the account activity the PayPal had for the month of April. Any personal information will be blacked out. What you will be able to see is that aside from the PayPal and Storenvy fees for every transaction, every single cent that was put into the account is still there and will remain there until it is used for production or donation. 

Show all production receipts. When the time comes to produce the zine, we will put up the receipts showing how much was spent. This includes the cost of the zines, the cost of merchandise, the packaging materials and shipping (which each buyer has paid for). 

Donation receipt. Once the zine is all done, every dollar in the PayPal account will be donated to The Trevor Project and we will put up this receipt as well.

The first issue of the Queen’s Scouts launches this month! April 20 will be when the first five pages go live, then from there it will be updated weekly.

Tris and Gaia, two rookie agents, are tasked with protecting the President’s children while she holds a press conference regarding the rise in Mafia activity. The seemingly simple mission ends up becoming more complicated than Tris and Gaia expected.

Further issues will delve deeper into the world and the characters, so this first chapter is a mere taste of what’s to come.

One Night

Ship: Rosa Diaz/”Tiffany”

Summary: With Pimento out of the picture and prison still plaguing the back of her mind, Rosa tries to grab a few drinks and bond with a stranger in order to forget the pain. But pain has a habit of surfacing when you least expect it.

Notes: I still have a lot of feelings about Rosa and her time in prison and I felt the need to work on a short piece exploring how she copes with that and her breakup with Pimento.There are some trigger warnings, for a panic attack and for a very short line that mentions sexual assault.

The beer in her hand was nearly empty, which wasn’t far from how Rosa felt as she scanned the bar through narrowed eyes.

Empty.

Now that the whirlwind relationship with Adrian Pimento was out of her life, Rosa felt empty. She felt like she was starting from the beginning all over again. After being faced with a guy who was compatible with her sexually and even emotionally, who was apparently willing to learn Spanish to impress her family, how could Rosa be throwing it all away?

It’s been way too long since I last drew humans so have badass Chloe Price because why not.

Also I’ve really gotten into doing these little cinemagraph/animated illustration type things? I think I wanna try making at least one a week and just get into making my illustrations with this pipeline from now on because it’s fun af and the result is addicting to stare at.

Next step tho is to learn to loop them seamlessly. Maybe on my next one.
