#WhatIsYourWhy? Yesterday's presentation went well🙌🏾...My younger daughter and mom attended this one. 🤗 When I finished presenting, I got a text from my little one that said "AMAZING MOMMA!!!!" And then she made a poster with something that I said in my presentation: so the poster had a quote, and then it was followed by "~Sabi Hinkson"...🥺 I honestly have the best daughters in this world. ❤️ When you decide to go after success, first, you have to figure out your "WHY"...Your "WHY" will keep you focused, grounded, driven, inspired, motivated, etc...Your "WHY" is like fuel. We are quite proud of Miss Hinkson...🤗She went back to school to complete her Master's in Teaching and Learning Science and Technology at McGill (full-time) while still teaching full-time at Loyola High School. She recently completed her Master's and will have the honour of presenting the research that she conducted at a 4-day STEM conference put on by the Canadian Black Scientists Network @canblacksci . 🙌🏾 "Thank you so much for supporting me LOYOLA! #PleaseShare #StolenThings #PossiblyInSaintLaurent These are the things that were in my STOLEN BLACK HONDA PILOT (Black Coach Purse, Burgundy and rose Gold Jansport School Bag)...My vehicle was stolen in LaSalle, and the next day someone in SAINT LAURENT found my Medicare card (which was in my SUV) and turned it in to police station 7 in Saint Laurent. I need my things back; my school bag had my MACBOOK Air, my notebooks, my pencil case with my USB keys, etc. I'm a full-time teacher and a full-time students, I worked very hard and a lot of my hardwork is on that MacBook and my USB keys. Please, to the people that stole my things, have a heart and at least return my belongings that were in my vehicle. Please return my baby's first pair of sneakers too. Today I wear orange to honour and pay my respects to the 215 Indigenous children whose remains were recently found at a former residential school in Kamloops BC... There are so many other Indigenous children who are unaccounted for...💔 How do you do this to children? How can you treat human beings this way? In the name of religion?! And this is why some people don't want anything to do with religion. This is disgusting...Imagine someone snatching your children out of your home, and holding them captive, and forcing them to forget about you, your family, your culture, your values, etc. The thought of this makes me sick to my stomach. This is inhumane, and if anyone were to do this today, they would be put in jail. So, I wear ORANGE today because EVERY CHILD MATTERS! We have to remind society of this, because clearly, not everyone believes this.
