Docking Into Self Confidence
Docking into self confidence is what most people appear to be able to do. But are they just fooling themselves and everyone around them with an artifice of presentation?
Fake it til you make it comes to mind. The title of this post wandered into my mind and it sounds like a challenge but one I think everyone would be wise in attempting regularly. Because who doesn’t like that feeling?

Yes! Not resentments or anger, who needs those anyway?

Learning Empathy: With 14 Sleep Strategies
I use to keep myself up at night rehashing the good, bad, and what I should have done better. Now I have a list of 14 techniques (1. tea/warm milk\water 2. bath\heating pad 3. read 4. write what is keeping me up 5. stretch 6. change into pjs 7. deep breathing, extending the time for inhales/exhales 8. Counting 1 on inhale, 2 on exhale 9. change my direction on the bed 9. Auto-erotica 10. Melatonin (the mint chocolate strips that melt on your tongue in one tiny square) 11. Do the same thing every night 12. Dim the lights during the hour before bed 13. Flexing muscle groups for ten seconds and releasing from toes to forehead 14. Listening to classical music before getting into bed.)
Maybe that last one should have been at the start, oops! You get it though, you can rearrange the list as you see fit. It is my go to list when I have trouble sleeping. Something on that list works every time. See how you can implement some of these strategies when you have difficulty. Hope that helps some of you insomniacs out there: #insomiasolutions, #gettingtosleep, #conqueringsleep
There’s me going off on a tangent! Back to learning empathy: It is impossible for us to do everything; or be everything for anyone - including ourselves. Especially during the pandemic, when we are pushed to the brink, being pulled in too many directions, with too many challenges. To better cope with these challenges a quote below from an amazing book that focuses on this topic is listed below:
‘To better understand empathy you can teach yourself by learning to empathize with yourself. Understanding yourself was recorded to help you to comprehend and accept your own emotions. It’s essential for a healthy life. With practice and a commitment to thoughtfulness; anyone can learn to understand how others are thinking and feeling. Understanding others makes it easier to interact in social situations.’ (Improve Your Social Skills, Daniel Wendler)

I love bugs, maybe because I am a bug. Who doesn't like bugging others tho sometimes? Especially those we know how to push their buttons. I am not saying it is a wise move - but sometimes it is fun, and we all need more fun these days.

What a tremendous Easter Sunday! I usually get stressed out making meals. Today I took on a new recipe of spiced egg clouds, with the usual sausages and toast (I like to challenge myself). It turned out well.
I then went for a long bike ride with a coffee and a taco break for fuel. Isn't it amazing the power of the sun? It can and will improve our moods, thankfully.
How have you enjoyed the return of Spring this long weekend?

Some days are better then others. I know I have said this before. Unfortunately for us Bipolar Bipeds our moods are swayed by the weather. Let’s show the meteorologist who’s boss, and have an even keel day!The contributing factors will be good food, coffee, some exercise; and stories found on Netflix.
