Mother’s Day
Characters: Sora, Ventus, Roxas, Vanitas, Cloud, Terra, Riku, Squall, Noctis, Aqua, Kairi, Xion, Namine, Aulea Caelum, Leha Strife (Parent OC), Gin Skye (Parent OC)
Pairing: None
Rating: Everyone
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count: 1126
Notes: Three different ways to spend Mother’s Day
The Strife Household:
Leha’s nose scrunched up, the smell waking her from her slumber. “Vinny! Get up!” She reached over and smacked him across the gut, making him sit up with a grunt.
“What do you want woman!?”
“I smell burning!” She fumbled around the nightstand for her glasses, which were really only used when she first woke up.
Vincent grumbled before throwing the covers off of him and grabbing his leg gear. “I don’t know what you want me to do about it! By the time my leg gets on we’ll be burned alive!”
Leha rolled her eyes, “I’m already out of bed, just hurry up.” She threw her robe on and hurried to open the door to her bedroom. As soon as the door creaked open she heard hushed voices coming from the kitchen, where there happened to be a lot of smoke coming from.
“Terra! I thought you said you could make pancakes!”
“Roxas, shut up! I can, I just… need a minute with your stove…”
“Guys come on, mom wakes up at like nine everyday!”
“Sora, were almost done we’re just waiting on the pancakes.”
“Yeah… sorry I’m just nervous.”
Leha smiled and hurried down her stairs, tying her robe as she went. She went to the kitchen and stood in the doorway, her heart swelling when her gaze landed on the scene in front of her. All five of her boys were in the kitchen, each doing various tasks as they prepared what looked like a huge Mother’s Day breakfast for her. Terra, Riku, and Squall were there too. Tears came to her eyes as Terra flipped a pancake, “see? I told you!”
“Boys I thought you said you couldn’t come home this weekend!”
All eight of them turned to her with horrified gasps.
“I told you she got up at nine!”
“The pancakes aren’t done!”
“Where’s dad?”
“He was supposed to distract her!”
Leha laughed as Cloud stood up, hushing them with a glare, “guys it’s okay. Breakfast is almost done and I just finished brewing the coffee.” Cloud grinned at her and enveloped her in a hug. “Happy Mother’s Day mom. I hope you don’t mind the little lie about us not coming to visit.”
She hugged him tightly, burying her face in his shoulder. “Are you kidding me? No, I don’t care! This is amazing! All of you are amazing!”
Vanitas snorted, “wait until you try the food, Ventus made the bacon without people realizing.”
“I tried!”
Leha laughed and pushed away from Cloud slightly. “Guys Don’t bicker, I’m sure everything will taste wonderful. I love you guys so much, come here!” She opened her arms wide and the other boys hurried forward, encircling her in a large group hug. “You guys are my favorite boys.”
Riku kisses her on the cheek, “happy Mother’s Day mom.”
The Caelum Household:
Soft snores greeted Aulea as she began to wake up. She stretched, leaving her sleeping husband to go and make the coffee. She had been a little disappointed that Noctis was too busy to come home for Mother’s Day, but they had all agreed to do something next weekend.
Aulea froze in her tracks as she stepped into the kitchen and saw her son snoring at the kitchen table. “Noctis?”
Noctis snorted, “Whazzit? I’m up!” He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and looked up at his mother staring at him incredulously. “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.”
Aulea resisted chuckling at her son’s sleepy muttering and went over to the coffee maker, setting some up to brew. “I thought you were busy this weekend, honey?”
“I, uh,” Noctis rubbed his face, trying to wake up more, “I wanted to surprise you.” He hid a yawn behind his hand before standing up to stretch. “I got us appointments at that spa you love so much.”
Aulea couldn’t help the smile that lit up her face as she rushed over and startled Noctis with a hug and kisses on his cheeks. “Awwwwww! My precious baby! You are too sweet for words!”
“Mom!” Noctis protested the attention he was being given but didn’t push away, only sighing when she finally let him go and rubbing his cheek like an embarrassed kid. Noctis smirked a little at her grin, “well, you better go get ready.” Aulea nodded, heading to the bedroom and then turning back to give Noctis another quick peck on the cheek before running off to get ready before he could complain more. Noctis shook his head fondly, looking forward to pampering his mother for the day.
The Skye Household:
They stood on the same spot of the beach on this day every year. It wouldn’t change this year, or the years yet to come. Kairi let out a shaky breath before walking over to the edge of the water, the waves lapping at her salt stained converse. In her hands was a small star shaped flower. The paopu blossom had just started to open when she plucked it from the tree. Namine stood to her right, then Xion was on Namine’s right. Namine held a paopu blossom too whereas Xion held a few asters. The purple and white blossoms stark against her tanned hands. Aqua and Gin were some way behind them, letting them have their moment before they drove to the cemetery to visit Aqua’s mother. Kairi knelt in the warm sea water, dipping her hands in the water, letting the blossom float trapped within her hands. She didn’t need to turn her head to know that Namine and Xion were doing the same.
She sighed, “happy Mother’s Day mom. We miss you everyday. It’s been getting better, but…” she trailed off and looked towards Namine.
“Ever since we went off to college it’s gotten better. It’s nice kind of learning how to function on our own. Still would have been nice to have you by our side though.”
Xion cleared her throat, an unmistakable waver to her voice. “Anyways, we hope you’re doing great wherever you are and we know you’re watching out for us. Tell dad we say hi and that we love him.”
She then lifted her hands from the water, watching with tears in her eyes as her flowers were pulled out with the tide, lazily swirling around the two paopu blossoms her sisters had dropped. As the blossoms drifted out of sight the girls stood from the water and headed back to Aqua and Gin, small smiles on their faces after paying tribute to their mother. There was always something about the islands that made it feel like their mother was right there with them when they preformed their little ritual. Gin wrapped his arms around the three girls and kissed the tops of their heads before marching them to the waiting car.

Sleepy Bean
Game: Kingdom Hearts
Characters: Terra, Sora, Libertus
Pairing: None
Rating: Everyone
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count: 721 Words
Notes: So Since today was a free day for Terra Week I just thought that I would continue with the theme that this blog seems to have for poor Terra which is him dealing with a dislocated shoulder. This is based off of some of my own personal experiences with heavy pain medications, because those can knock you out without you even realizing what happened. Well, Hope you all enjoy!
Terra blinked slowly at the ugly tile in the lecture hall. He was not going to miss another of Libertus’s civics lectures. He had already missed three due to this stupid arm, he wasn’t going to miss another. His eyelids drooped down again as he fought the sleepiness. Of course, his pill had kicked in right before class. Terra brought his eyes up to look at the clock, sighing in relief when he saw he still had twenty minutes left before class started (early bird gets the worm right?). That meant he could get in a quick nap and be rejuvenated before Libertus started! Terra pushed his chair back and propped his feet up on the desk before leaning his head back and closing his eyes. Not an ideal position but good for a quick nap. He was out within milliseconds.
&&
Sora shook Terra’s shoulder, making the brunet snort and jolt up. “Whazzit? Who’s hurt!? Whats wrong!?”
Sora smirked and set his books down on the table, “relax big guy, class is going to start in a few minutes.”
Terra nodded and rubbed his face before looking around the room with bleary eyes. “Right… thanks.”
Sora looked at him quizzically, “dude you sure you should be in class? You seem really off.”
Terra leveled an Aqua worthy glare at Sora who grimaced.
“Yeesh, sorry I asked!”
They turned back to the front of the class at Libertus’s signature drum beat on the desk. “Alright today we will be going over…”
Terra went to grab his pencil to take notes, he really did, but instead his head laid down on his notebook and his eyes closed of their own volition and he was out like a light.
Terra snored lightly making Libertus groan, “really guys? Civics isn’t that bad!”
The class chuckled as sora raised his hand with a snort. “Sir? I think Terra fell asleep. It’s not his fault though! He’s on really powerful pain meds.”
“Right… well… let’s not disturb him then. Strife do you think you can take notes for him?”
Sora nodded and pulled out his phone, “can I take an audio recording too?”
“Of course. Give me your phone.” Libertus held out his hand as Sora jogged down the steps and handed it to him. “There, now back to what I was saying…”
Minus a few small snores from Terra the lesson went off without a hitch. After a few hours Libertus gave Sora back his phone. “Alright good lecture everyone, test is next Thursday and remember study group tomorrow night at the café! I’ll be bringing my special civic cupcakes!”
The class hid a groan at the thought of what Libertus thought were cupcakes when really, they were most likely doorstops he put a glob of frosting on. The class began filtering out as Sora lightly shook Terra’s shoulder again.
“Terrraaa, wake upppp!”
Terra jerked awake, “fourteen ninety two!”
Sora raised an eyebrow, “this isn’t history Terra. Besides you fell asleep at the beginning of class, it’s over now.”
Terra looked at him with wide eyes “what!? You let me sleep through the whole class!?”
Sora rolled his eyes, “dude I didn’t really have a choice, it was the professor’s idea. He wanted you to get some rest because of your arm.”
Terra groaned and rubbed his eyes with his fists. “I’m so going to fail that test!”
Sora smirked, “actually,” he handed him his phone and notebook, “I got you covered. All the notes and the recording of the lecture.” Sora winked at Terra who looked at him like he had just handed him the cure to Geostigma.
“Oh, Titan are you serious? You’re the best Sora!”
“I know.” Sora grabbed his stuff and began walking towards the door while Terra started flipping through the notes.
“Wait a second sora? This is in Al Bhed, I think you gave me the wrong notebook! Sora!?”
Sora’s laugh was reminiscent of his brother Vantias. “No, I didn’t. Consider it payment as getting to sleep through lecture.”
“I can barely read this! Your handwriting in Al Bhed is awful!”
“Hmmmm… looks like you’re gonna have to listen to the recording I made you to make sure you translate it right.”
Terra growled, “you are an evil man Sora!”
Sora cackled, “I know, have fun Terra!”
“Screw you!”

Zack and Terra
Game:Kingdom Hearts
Characters: Terra, Zack, Cloud
Pairing: Hinted Cloud/Zack, hinted Terra/Aqua
Rating: Teen
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count: 489
Notes: Terra Week day 3, friendship
“Are you serious?” Terra laughed incredulously, similar laughter coming from his laptop as he chatted with Zack.
“Yep, damn supply crate landed right on my leg and fractured it. I guess that’s what you and I get for saving our friends.”
Terra chuckled, “Yeah, but I thought Cloud would have been smarter than his brothers, not to mention General Sephiroth.”
Zack sighed in exasperation, “Apparently not smart enough to make sure a supply crate is sitting safely on the shelves before walking away.” Zack grinned, looked around for a moment before leaning towards the camera and loudly whispering towards Terra, “Now Cloud feels guilty and he’s waiting on me hand and foot, so I can’t say it’s all bad.” He winked at Terra mischievously and Terra laughed.
“Ven and Vanitas have just been arguing about whose fault it is,” he grimaced at the thought of the latest incident which involved them arguing over who should help him carry his bag and ended with him getting whacked in his injured shoulder with said bag.
Zack sighed and shrugged his shoulders, a fond smile on his face, “you’ve gotta love them, no matter how stupid they are sometimes.” Terra heard a ‘hey’ shouted in the distance and Zack winced.
“I think Cloud heard you.” Terra grinned as the blond came storming into the room.
“Do you want me to continue making your lunch? Because I don’t have to.”
Zack pouted, “But my leg just hurts so bad, Cloud!” Cloud immediately looked guilty and stalked out of the room, grumbling something about taking advantage.
“Yeah, guilt trips probably work better when you’re dating the person.”
Zack nodded, a grin on his face as he leaned back in his chair, “True. Too bad it wasn’t Aqua you helped.”
“Yeah, she’d never be that clumsy.”
“True.”
Cloud came back into view on the laptop, “Lunch time, Zack.”
Terra laughed, “Aw, look at you, Cloud, taking care of your man. It’s so adorable.”
Zack grabbed Cloud around the waist and dragged him close, “I know, isn’t he just the cutest?”
The blond struggled out of Zack’s grasp, an indignant look on his face as the other two men laughed, “Alright, that’s enough! End the call and come eat.”
“Seems someone wants my attention,” Zack wiggled his eyebrows at Terra and Terra laughed.
“Mm, seems like nurse Cloud has a different type of healing in mind for you, Zack,” Terra grinned as Cloud stormed up to the computer.
“No! Not my laptop!” Zack yelled and went running, “Gotta go, Terra! If I go missing, you’re the only witness!” Terra chuckled as the video call ended. He powered down his laptop with a shake of his head, feeling his phone buzz in his pocket.
Zack: Don’t worry, I am A OK ;P
Terra: Good to hear
Zack: But you were right about the different type of healing 😉 😉 😉
Terra: Ok I am out
Zack: LOL

Off Time
Game: Kingdom Hearts
Characters: Terra, Lea
Pairing: None
Rating: Teen
Author: The Usual Spot
Word Count: 522
Notes: Again, sorry for being a day late but here’s Day 2 for Terra Week
Terra sat in The Usual Spot, arm in a sling from the previous day’s accident, awkwardly reaching for his coffee cup with his left hand and holding a book in his right hand. Trapped as his arm was in a sling, he could still at least hold onto a small book with his right hand. He couldn’t work out in general for two weeks with his dislocated shoulder, so his free time was now being spent sitting, people watching, and reading. Reading the next few lines of the novel loaned to him, Terra could feel himself blush, closing the book quickly and hiding it against his chest as though everyone in the café could see what was written inside. ‘Dammit,’ he thought to himself, ‘I knew I should never have borrowed a book from Gladio of all people.’
He cleared his throat, sipping his coffee and looking around the café. Lea had just gotten in from his morning class to take his shift and he and Xion were talking behind the counter as she took her apron off and he put one on. Terra saw Xion nod in his direction and quickly looked away before he met eyes with his brother’s boyfriend.
“Hey,” Terra jumped at the drawled greeting, immediately recognizing Lea’s voice.
“Oh, um, hey.”
Lea’s lips quirked up in a small smile, “Riku told me what happened to you. You doing okay?”
Terra snorted, “Hurts a little, but I’m more annoyed than anything.” At a raised eyebrow, Terra threw his hand in the air in exasperation, “I can’t work out for two full weeks and then the doctor said that any lifting is off the table for anywhere from six weeks to three months, so my routine is screwed, plus this damn sling has to stay on for another couple days and I am hopelessly right handed so I’m awkwardly trying to do stuff with my left and failing.”
Lea shook his head, sitting at one of the empty chairs around him, “Man I’m sorry to hear that. At least you get to catch up on your reading.” He gestured to the book in Terra’s hand and Terra felt his face heat up in embarrassment.
“It’s not even mine, Gladio gave it to me and sent me away when I tried to go to the gym earlier. I should never have opened it up.”
Lea chuckled, “Ah one of those books, eh?” The redhead sighed, leaning back in his chair, “I don’t know how that man can read those things in public so shamelessly.”
Terra laughed, “Because no one would dare confront him about it probably.”
“True.” Lea stood up and stretched, looking around as the café slowly began filling up with people. “Well, I guess I’d better get back to work before Olette yells at me. See you later, Terra. Hope you feel better soon.”
“Thanks, see ya.” Terra smiled, pulling out his phone and texting Riku, ‘I think you made a good choice, Riku.’
A few seconds later he got a response, ‘um, thanks? I think…’ Terra chuckled before grabbing his bag and heading to his next class.

Hurt
Game: Kingdom Hearts
Characters: Terra, Aqua, Ventus, Vanitas, Olette
Pairing: None
Rating: General
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count: 403
Notes: I totally forgot about Terra Week until today and I feel so bad but here’s Day 1′s prompt. I’m sorry it’s late. Day 2 and hopefully Day 3 are incoming.
Aqua led Terra into the café, sitting him down at a table while she went and grabbed them both something to eat.
Olette took in the blank look on his face and his arm in a sling and gasped, “Astrals, Aqua! What happened?”
Aqua sighed, “Ven and Vanitas were messing around by the pool like idiots,” she glared over at the two who were now sitting at the table by Terra, shame written all over their faces. “They were about to fall in and Terra caught them, but in the process, he slipped, fell in and pulled his shoulder out of place.”
Olette shook her head, “I’m sorry to hear. Is he okay?”
Aqua shrugged, “Right now he’s doped up on pain meds so he’s fine.” She turned and headed back to the table, narrowing her eyes at the twins, now having a quiet argument on either side of Terra. She looked at the brunet, who was currently staring down at the table, brows furrowed and decidedly less loopy looking. “Terra, did the pills wear off?”
The twins stopped arguing, looking towards Terra with concern. “’S'okay…” the word came out slurred and barely understandable and Aqua held in a sigh. ‘Always a martyr.’
She pulled the medication out of her bag, shaking out two pills before sliding him a drink, “Here, the doctor said to take them when you’re in pain.”
Terra shot her a weak glare, seeming to want to argue but not having the strength for it. “Fine,” he grabbed the pills from her waiting hand and took them quickly, gulping down the tea Aqua had gotten him and grimacing at the taste of the bitter pills.
Immediately, Ventus and Vanitas began talking at once.
“We’re so sorry, Terra!”
“It was all our fault, well mostly Ven's.”
A glare shared between the two, “More like mostly Vani's fault!”
Their argument restarted louder than before until Terra stopped them with a hand held up between them. “Guys, ‘s'fine. ‘S'over now. Go…”
Both twins sighed. “Right. Sorry again, Terra.” Ven gave him a hug on his good side and Vanitas patted his arm as the got up and left.
Terra sighed, putting his head down on the table. Aqua snorted, “You didn’t want them getting hurt because you didn’t want to deal with the whining, right?”
She took the slight head jiggle as an affirmative and chuckled. She couldn’t have handled it either.

Ignis’s Birthday
Game: FFXV
Characters: Ignis, Prompto, Noctis, Gladio, Iris, Luna
Pairing: Some Promnis
Rating: General
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count: 824
Notes: Here is Ignis’s birthday fic! Happy birthday Specs!
Ignis sighed when he stepped in the door to the apartment, setting his bag down and shrugging off his jacket. It had been an extremely busy day for him, what with going to classes, filling out reports for Caelum Enterprises, and having to participate in multiple conference calls for said company. His birthday was no excuse to take a break. Ignis toed off his shoes, pulling his phone out of his pocket and calling out to the other apartment’s occupants, “I’m going to order takeout! I’m not feeling up to cooking today.”
Walking in from the entryway he had expected to see Noctis and Prompto sitting on the couch playing video games with Gladio nearby reading a book and Iris doing homework. Instead, he was greeted with the sight of Noctis and Prompto in front of the stove, giving each other panicked looks while the Amicitia siblings met his shocked stare with one of their own while stirring what looked to be cake batter in a large mixing bowl. Prompto rushed over, leaving Noctis to deal with whatever was on the stove. He leaned up and gave Ignis a kiss on the cheek, “Um, happy birthday, Igs. I know we gave you your gifts this morning and everything, but I was just thinking that you do so much for us…it just didn’t feel like enough, so we all decided to cook dinner so you didn’t have to.”
Ignis smiled at his boyfriend, grimacing when he heard Noctis whispering out a string of expletives. “You should get back to helping Noct. Put those lessons I’ve been giving you to good use.”
Prompto grinned, kissing him once quickly on the lips before skipping back over to the stove. There was a knock on the door before Ignis got a chance to settle in and he went to open it before the others could protest. Luna stood on the other side of the door, smiling softly and holding a couple of bottles of his favorite wine. “Happy birthday, Ignis!” After a quick embrace, Luna and Ignis walked back into the kitchen. “I brought the wine for your birthday dinner because none of them trusted me to cook.”
Noctis rolled his eyes, “Last time you thought you’d cook me a romantic dinner, you almost set the place on fire and everything was charred.”
Luna blushed, setting the wine on the counter, “Yes, well, it was the first time.”
“It was just last year.”
Luna cleared her throat, looking down at her nails as though they were the most interesting things in the world, “I’d never cooked before that.”
Prompto tutted, looking at the blonde with a fond smile, “Rich people.”
Ignis chuckled at their banter, before deciding to set the table for dinner. His efforts were thwarted though when Iris and Gladiolus took the plates directly from his arms. “Take a load off, Iggy. We’ve got this.”
Iris grinned, setting the plates around the table, “You shouldn’t have to work any harder than you already have on your birthday.”
Ignis sighed, grabbing the wine glasses from the cupboard and quickly setting them around the table before they could stop him. “Though I appreciate the pampering, it’s unnecessary to treat me like I am incapable you two.”
Noctis snorted out a laugh, pulling a pot from the stove and turning off the heat, “You have no idea how to relax, do you, Specs?”
“Not really, no.”
Prompto sighed, coming around the island counter and grabbing Ignis’s shoulders to guide him to a seat at the dinner table, “Sit.” He poured him a glass of wine, “drink.” Noctis dished some food onto his plate, “eat, and relax.”
Ignis chuckled as everyone else sat down at the table, filling their plates with…whatever it was that Noctis and Prompto had made. “Very well, I’ll attempt to relax.” He looked down at the pasta and poultry on his plate, staring dubiously up at him (taking notice how Noctis conveniently forgot to create a vegetable dish with it). When he saw Noctis and Prompto’s expectant stares, he gulped, hoping he wasn’t shaking as he brought a bite on his fork to his mouth. He chewed, eyes widening in surprise that it actually had a good flavor to it.
“Well, how is it?” Prompto asked nervously as Iggy swallowed the food in his mouth.
Ignis smiled at the two, “Though I don’t exactly know what it is, it’s very well cooked and has a good flavor. My compliments to the chefs.”
Both boys breathed out a sigh of relief before beginning their meal. Everyone ate their dinner with a smile on their faces, talking and laughing through the meal. When they had dessert later, the frosting was a little messy, the cake having been too warm, but it was delicious nonetheless and Ignis made a wish when blowing out the candles that every birthday celebrated by them would be just as wonderful as this one.

BDSM
Game: Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts
Characters: Ignis Scientia, Prompto Argentum, Ventus Strife, Xion Skye
Pairing: Promnis, VenXi
Rating: Teen for suggestive content
Author: The usual spot cafe
Word Count:642 Words
Notes: Hey guys! Here is our fic for day seven of Promnis week! We decided to go with BDSM (sorry this blog only goes up to teen) because it could easily fit in here and we could make it funny (no matter how much we all like the subject when its more serious ;) ). Hope you enjoy!
Prompto flipped the pages of the book, looking for the answer to the study guide, his eyebrow twitching each time he heard his cousin whisper (not quietly mind you) to his girlfriend Xion. Prompto really didn’t know how Ignis was just sitting there sipping his coffee, reading a report from work with those two talking about… unsavory things.
“I don’t know Ven, but I’m bored with our usual. We need more.”
Ventus groaned and tapped a few keys on his laptop. “Okay well what haven’t we tried? I feel like we’ve done everything.”
Xion’s eyes lit up as she pointed at the screen. “What about that? We’ve never tried that!”
Ventus nodded enthusiastically as Prompto tried to tune them out and continue working.
“What about midnight armor?”
Xion sighed, “that sounds terrible.”
Prompto rolled his eyes at the two sex fiends before turning to Ignis. “Iggy are you listening to these two?”
Ignis didn’t even look away from his paper, “hmm? Oh, darling yes I’m listening to everything.”
“You’re not paying attention.”
“That’s nice dear.”
“Oh, great you reached the point where you just are blankly answering people.”
“Yes of course.”
Prompto groaned and shook his head. “Honestly, Iggy, sometimes.”
“Sometimes you do what you must.”
“You sound like a broken AI!” Ignis just nodded and took another sip of his coffee as Prompto glared at him.
Ventus hummed in thought. “What about Final Fantasies?”
Ignis shook his head no, “oh no those ropes gave Prompto severe rope burns. You want silk or velvet ropes, try Insomnia Nights. It’s a store ran by a friend of mine.”
Ventus and Xion stared at Ignis as Prompto sputtered at him in disbelief, the freckles on his cheeks now hidden by bright red.
“Uh, Iggy!? What the hell!?”
Ignis froze as Xion and Ventus gave them both shit eating grins. “Oh lord what have I done?”
Xion slinked forward and wrapped her arms around Prompto’s neck, “aw so little Prompto and Ignis aren’t plain vanilla like everyone thought huh?”
Prompto just kept sputtering in horror as Ventus laughed uproariously. “Prompto.exe has stopped working.”
Red bloomed over Ignis’s face and neck, “You two shut up, we are not discussing this with you!”
Xion pouted, “aw but Iggy come on! This our first time in this territory, how can you throw us to the wolves? Don’t you want us to be safe?”
Ignis groaned and pinched the bridge of his nose, thinking for a moment before sighing in defeat. “Fine since this is dangerous if you want to get into this stuff you may meet us in our apartment and we can teach you some safe ways to do it.”
Ventus and Xion grinned at each other before nodding enthusiastically as Prompto gagged, “nope not doing that, he’s my cousin and Xion is basically a little sister nope not doing it you’re on your own.”
Xion kisses him on the cheek, “understandable. Expect us at your apartment tonight!”
Ignis groaned again, “fine.”
Ventus snapped his laptop shut, “good now Xion, to class!”
Xion took her apron off with a disgusted face, “can we just skip?”
Ignis caught her in a glare, “no now go.”
“Geez fine!”
As the other couple walked away from the table hand in hand Prompto turned to Iggy who was burying his face in his hands. “I’m mortified.”
“Maybe you should learn to stop answering questions without thinking!”
Ignis levied a glare his way, “I got that way because of you and your best friend in high school!”
Prompto stuck his tongue out at him, “yeah well now look at where that habit as got you, now you’re teaching two people how to properly tie each other up.”
“Oh sweet Bahamut. I’m going to die.”
Prompto patted him on the shoulder sympathetically, “there there, I’ll plan your funeral.”
“Thank you darling.”
“You’re welcome.”

Dancing
Characters: Prompto, Ignis, Noctis
Pairing: Promnis
Rating: Teen (for some suggestive talk)
Word Count: 469
Notes: Promnis week day 6
Ignis smiled as Prompto stirred the contents in the pan. His hips were swaying to the beat of the song as he hummed along to it. Ignis put down his knife before turning around to wrap his arms around the smaller man’s waist. Prompto squeaked, his cheeks heating up as Ignis buried his face in his shoulder. Ignis kept swaying to the beat, making sure Prompto followed.
“Iggy? What are you doing?”
Ignis hummed in contentment breathing in the scent of vanilla that Prompto loved so much. There was also the acrid smell of gun oil, the price of spending time with his father earlier in the day. “Do you remember dancing in the streets of Altissia to this? You were wearing those tight pants and that tank top?”
Prompto groaned, “and combat boots, and you forgot to tell me we were going someplace fancy for dinner!”
Ignis chuckled at the memory, “my apologies, darling.”
“Yeah whatever.”
Ignis pulled away from him, grasping his hand and twirling him around before stopping him so they were face to face. “You loved every second of our trip to Altissia.”
Prompto smiles softly at the memory as Ignis begins swaying them to song, this time making sure Prompto wrapped his arms around his neck. Ignis rested his hands on Prompto’s hips, touching their foreheads together. Prompto smirked, “not as much as you loved the Leville…”
Ignis blushes a deep crimson, “ah yes well… it was our first time… alone.”
Prompto giggles lightly as Ignis spun him again. “It was amazing.”
“It truly was.” They kept moving to the song, not stopping when it ended, even when the next song was a fast one.
Prompto looked up at Ignis‘s green eyes, his full of love. Prompto stood on his tiptoes and pressed his lips to Ignis’s own full ones. Ignis hummed in approval before pressing the blonde closer to him, they stood there for several moments before their bliss was interrupted by a friend.
“Uh, hey guys? First of all, gross and second of all that pan is burning.”
Ignis gasped in horror before throwing Prompto to the side and lunging at the stove.
Prompto laughed, “oh shit sorry Noctis!”
“Whatever. Guess Gladiolus can get his way of cup noodles.”
Prompto groaned as Ignis fixed Noctis with a glare. “I will die before I make everyone eat cup noodles!” He paused for a moment, staring at the smoking pan in the sink. “I’ll order takeout.”
Prompto nodded enthusiastically “Al Bhed food sounds good!”
Noctis groaned, “aw come on! You always want Al Bhed… maybe if you two hadn’t been gross...”
Ignis sighed and began grabbing his car keys as Prompto blushed. “Oh shush, you’re just jealous. Don’t worry I’m going to get you nuggets.”
“Fuck yeah.”
Prompto rolled his eyes, “you’re a child.”

Blurred
Characters: Prompto, Ignis
Pairing: Promnis
Rating: General
Word Count: 738
Notes: Here we have Day 5 of Promnis week! I went with the prompt of Prompto going blind, but in a much more light hearted way since this is part of our Usual Spot universe. Hope everyone enjoys!
“Okay, Mr. Argentum, I’m going to administer these eye drops to dilate your eyes. Do you have someone who can drive you home?”
“Um…y-yes?” The ophthalmologist nodded and got to work finishing Prompto's eye exam. After he finished checking his eyes, Prompto blinked around the dark room blearily. Everything was just blurry blobs now and Prompto really hoped someone would be available to come pick him up. ‘Crap! Why did I say I had a ride? I had no idea he was going to do that today!’
“Uh, Mr. Argentum? You may want to put these on.” The doctor handed him his sunglasses before opening the examination room door. ‘Agh! Crap that’s bright!’ Prompto quickly shoved the sunglasses on his face, letting the doctor guide him out to the waiting room. His ophthalmologist stood with him for a moment and Prompto wondered if there was something wrong when he spoke up. “There’s no one here waiting for you, do you need us to call someone?”
Prompto could feel the heat rising to his face in his embarrassment, ‘Even though it’s totally not my fault.’ He cleared his throat, twisting the bracelets on his right wrist around anxiously, “No, um, they just had some errands to run. I’m sure they’ll be here soon.” That was all it took for the eye doctor to take his leave and then Prompto was stuck figuring out who to call who wouldn’t A) laugh at him, or B) scold him for being irresponsible.
He sat down on the uncomfortable waiting room couch, glasses and contact cases in hand and pulled his phone from his pocket. He squinted at the blurry screen for a while before resigning himself to his fate for a few hours and using the voice recognition. “Hey, Moogle, call Vanitas.” The phone rang a few times before going to voicemail. Prompto groaned, blushing profusely when he heard what must have been another person in the room clearing their throat loudly.
Twisting his body away from where the sound had been located, he tried to speak quieter, “Moogle, call Noctis.” Straight to voicemail again. Prompto called almost everyone in the vicinity who had a car and a license. Everyone except for one.
'Astrals damn my luck!’ Prompto tried to look around the room to see if his vision had improved any, but and saw blurred shapes. He sighed, “Moogle, call Ignis…” Prompto then readied himself for the berating of a lifetime.
“Hello?”
Prompto cleared his throat nervously, “Uh, hey, Iggy? I need you to come get me.”
Ignis’s voice immediately took on a sharper, more worried tone, “Darling? Are you alright?”
“Uh, yeah, it’s just,” he sighed, “I’m at the eye doctor still? They, uh, they dilated my eyes.”
“Oh Astrals! Of all the-“ Prompto cringed as he heard a heavy sigh and he could just picture Ignis, pinching the bridge of his nose, wearing that look that said you were an absolute idiot. “I will be right there.” With that he hung up, and all Prompto had to do was wait.
##
Ignis guided Prompto to the apartment couch, making him lay down on it to rest. “I just can’t believe they didn’t tell you beforehand. I’ll have to have your cousins pick up your vehicle.”
Prompto tried to find Ignis's face in the blurs, sighing when he only got a headache in the process. “I don’t know Iggy, they might have told me and I just was too nervous to really hear them. It’s probably all on me.”
Prompto felt a blanket get thrown over him and the couch dip as Ignis sat on the edge of the cushions. “Nonsense. At the very least, they shouldn’t have done it once they saw you were alone.”
Prompto shrugged, “Yeah, I guess.”
Warm lips touched his forehead and Prompto couldn’t help but smile. “Try to get some rest, love. It may be a while before your eyes go back to normal.” Prompto hummed in content, nodding his agreement. He was just happy he had Ignis here to care for him.
“I love you, Iggy. Thank you for taking care of me.”
He felt his hair being brushed out of his eyes and heard a soft chuckle, “Well, if I weren’t here for you, you would still be stuck at the ophthalmologists, so you’re welcome.”
“Hey!”
Ignis laughed as Prompto went to hit him and totally missed. “I love you too, darling.”

Peppery Daggerquill Rice
Characters: Prompto, Ignis
Pairing: Promnis
Rating: G
Word Count: 733
Notes: Here is day for of Promnis week! Ignis teaching Prompto how to cook.
“Alright, Prompto, now be sure to handle those peppers with care. They are extremely hot and you do not want to get anything near your eyes.” Ignis tried not to hover as Prompto chopped up the hot chili peppers for the dish.
“Mmhm…” Prompto’s brows were furrowed as he tried to focus on not cutting himself with the extremely sharp kitchen knife.
Ignis sighed and tried to relax and just let the blond work. He’d decided to teach him how to make one of his favorite recipes, but of course the one Prompto had chosen to try to make was one of the most difficult ones to master. Peppery daggerquill rice took hours to prepare and could also be dangerous if you didn’t know what you were doing while handling the peppers. Ignis himself had heard tales of careless cooks going blind after handling the hottest of the Leiden variety of peppers and neglecting to wash their hands before rubbing their eyes. Ignis had tried to insist that Prompto let him deal with the peppers, but Prompto insisted on doing it for himself. ‘At least I was able to convince him to wear gloves,” Ignis thought to himself as he watched Prompto finish cutting up the last pepper.
##
What was normally a three-hour dish for Ignis to make ended up being a four and a half hour dish with Prompto making it. Ignis thanked the Astrals that it was just him and Prompto for dinner tonight so he didn’t have to listen to Noctis whine about starving or have to see Prompto’s crestfallen face when he walked out of the kitchen and saw Gladiolus eating cup noodles rather than waiting on dinner (an incident that happened far too often when dinner took longer than Gladio felt it should).
Ignis sat patiently at the table and waited for Prompto to bring over the plates (he had insisted on serving him). Prompto stepped out from behind the kitchen counter, two full plates in his hands, and walked to the table, setting one plate in front of Ignis and the other where he would be sitting.
“Well, here it is! Bon appetit!” Prompto sat in front of his plate, smiling nervously and waiting for Ignis to say anything.
Ignis took in the plate in front of him, which, while not plated as elegantly as he may have normally done it (the daggerquill breast looked like it had been through a blender rather than cut from the bone with a knife), It looked similar enough that Ignis could tell what it was. “It looks wonderful, Prompto, I’m excited to try it.”
Prompto’s smile transformed into a true grin and he started to eat. Ignis took a bite of the rice, holding back a cough at the sudden flavor of pepper on his tongue. He quickly reached for his glass, downing the wine sitting in it. “Um, Iggy, you okay?”
Ignis wiped at his watery eyes with his napkin, clearing his throat, “Prompto, how much white pepper did you put in the rice?”
Prompto furrowed his brow in concern, “Just what you told me to do, honest! I know I put it in when…” Prompto’s eyes grew wide and he slapped his forehead, “I am such an idiot!” Prompto groaned and Ignis poured himself some more wine, taking some more drinks while waiting for Prompto’s explanation. “I’m so sorry Igs, I think I accidentally put in the pepper twice.”
Ignis chuckled a little, covering his mouth with his hand, “Well, I suppose there are worse things you could have done. Besides, this was a very difficult recipe for your first of mine.”
Prompto looked a little sheepish, “Yeah, I guess I should have tried to make the curry first or something huh?”
Ignis hummed in agreement, taking a bite of the chicken, which was well seasoned and probably the best part of the dish despite the way it looked. “Well, I suppose I will just have to continue making this dish for you until you can get the hang of keeping track of the ingredients.”
Prompto smiled at him, “Ya know? That doesn’t sound like such a bad idea to me.” He giggled as Ignis shoved his shoulder with an exasperated sigh.
“I’ll never catch a break with any of you, will I?”
“You’re just too good at cooking, Iggy.”
“Thank you, darling. I try my best.”

Nightmares
Game:Final Fantasy XV
Characters: Prompto and Ignis
Pairing: Promnis
Rating: Teen
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count: 732 Words
Notes: Promnis day three! Obviously we went with Nightmares on this one, so without further ado I hope you enjoy!
The darkness pervaded the room. A fan was blowing lightly on the sleeping couple, adding just enough chill into the air so that they could sleep wrapped up in each other’s arms without worrying about getting sweaty and overheated. However, as the night went on the couple separated and now were curled up on their own respective sides of the bed. Ignis was laying on his side, facing the drawn curtains of the window. Prompto was curled into a little ball, facing Ignis as he whimpered lightly. His face screwed up with an unpleasant expression. Quietly he began muttering and moaning. His legs twitching every few moments, getting closer and closer to hitting Ignis with each kick.
It wasn’t the flailing that woke Ignis however, it was the quiet muttering of, “Please… No… Leave me alone!”
Ignis groaned as his eyes cracked open. Bleary from sleep he cast his gaze around the room, looking for the source that woke him up. Suddenly a foot kicked him in the back of the knee, making him jolt before rotating in his spot to face him. Prompto was resting his head on the other pillow, his arms drawing close to him, the left hand was clutching and clawing at his right wrist. Ignis frowned and reached out to touch Prompto’s hand before drawing back as Prompto sat up quickly.
Prompto clawed at his scarred wrist, “Don’t touch me! You’re not my father! Get away!” He shouted into the darkness. He was shaking with terror as his breathing became raspy and ragged.
Ignis sat up and grabbed Prompto’s shoulder. “Prompto you must wake up!”
Prompto shook him off. “Don’t touch me!”
Ignis drew back before running his hand through his hair and sighing. “Not going the easy way huh?” He reached forward and grasped Prompto’s arm tightly, making the blonde shudder and try to get away from him. Ignis just wrapped his arms tightly around him, trapping his arms to his sides. Prompto shuddered in his grasp as Ignis rocked him back and forth.
“Hush darling, you need to wake up! You are not with Besithia, you are with family!”
Prompto continued shuddering but stopped shouting. They sat there for a few moments before Prompto finally settled down. Ignis breathed a quiet sound of relief before shaking Prompto awake.
“Prompto?”
Prompto’s eyes fluttered open. The violet eyes roving around the dark room before settling on Ignis, eyes welling up with tears as he took in the soft green eyes framed by his hair. The green eyes were only filled with concern as the tears welled over.
“It… It was the same dream…”
“I know darling…”
Prompto sobbed and buried his face in the crook of Ignis’s neck as the older man shushed him. “Why? Why do I keep having it!?”
Ignis bit back tears as he ran his hands over Prompto’s back, rubbing it in shooting circles. “I don’t know darling… Are you okay?”
Prompto didn’t answer just shuddered again. “I… Was being burned by him…. Over and over… How could you do that to a child?”
Ignis glared into the dark, “Only a monster could. You’re alright though, he’s not going to harm you here. I promise.”
Prompto sniffed and pulled away. “I know. just seeing him here… It brings back memories of the appeal… I was only seven when that happened… and that bastard fucking won!”
Ignis squeezed a hand into a fist. “It was wrong. He should have been put away for life, but I promise you Prompto. He. Cant. Harm. You.” He emphasized each word with a little kiss on a different part of Prompto’s face, making him giggle lightly. “I will always make sure of that.”
“Forever and always?”
Ignis smiled at his love, pressing a kiss to his mouth before barely pulling away. “do you even have to ask?”
Prompto giggled again and shook his head no, making sure his nose brushed against Iggy’s. “No of course not.”
Ignis kissed Prompto again as he pulled him back into laying down. Prompto laid his head down on Iggy’s bare chest, making sure it was on his heart. “Are you okay now?”
Prompto sighed before getting closer to Ignis, “I don’t think I will ever be okay…. But you make it better. I’m so thankful to have you in my life Ignis.”
Ignis smiled, “I love you darling.”
“I love you too.”

Pining
Characters: Prompto, Vanitas, Ventus, Sora, Roxas, Ignis
Pairing: Promnis
Rating: G
Word Count: 630
Notes: So we missed day one of Promnis Week but here is our entry for day two! We are so excited to participate this week so be sure to keep an eye out for our posts.
Prompto sighed heavily, a dreamy, far off look in his eyes. Vanitas looked at his cousin with one eyebrow raised, “Uh, you alright there Prom?”
Prompto sighed again, adjusting the strap of his bag on his shoulder as they walked down the sidewalk. “Yeah, I just miss Ignis is all.” Vanitas gave Ventus a sideways look as they approached the café where Sora and Roxas were waiting for them.
“Um,” Ventus bit his lip as though unsure how to continue his thought, “didn’t you just see him earlier?”
Prompto pouted and kicked at the sidewalk, “Yeah…at like six he woke me up to say bye because he had to rush to a meeting in Insomnia.” He glared at the entryway to the Usual Spot as Vanitas opened the door. “He doesn’t know how long he’ll be gone.”
Ventus patted Prompto’s shoulder consolingly as they found the table the others were at. “I’m sorry, Prom, that’s a real bummer.”
Prompto just sighed like a moody teenager, throwing himself into the beat-up armchair that was his favorite to study in. Sora and Roxas looked up at his sigh, throwing questioning glances towards their older brother. Ven and Vanitas just shrugged and went to order some drinks and sweets for the three of them.
Sora chewed on his lip, drumming his fingers on the table in front of him and looking at his obviously upset cousin. Roxas elbowed Sora sharply in the ribs, giving him a glare and nodding his head towards Prompto. Sora sighed, moving to sit on the arm chair next to the mopey blond. “Hey, buddy, you okay?”
“Ignis had to go to Insomnia,” Prompto seemed to shrink into his chair as he spoke.
Roxas furrowed his brow, “Yeah, but you’ll probably see him by tonight, dude.”
Prompto threw a glare Roxas' way, “Maybe.”
Ventus and Vanitas came back just as Roxas was shifting back away from Prompto’s glare. Ven rolled his eyes, “Geez, I didn’t think you could pine this bad after being in a relationship for so long. Xion and I enjoy it when we get some time apart.”
“See! This is why!” they looked at Sora confused as he spoke.
“Why what?” Vanitas crossed his arms, barely holding back a groan at his younger brother’s cryptic words.
“Why Prompto and Ignis are always my cutest couple!” His brothers all groaned and slumped down in their chairs at that. “No! Hear me out! After five years together, they still miss each other terribly if they’re apart. It’s super romantic and none of your relationships live up to it.”
“Yeah, whatever.” Vanitas rolled his eyes, freezing when he looked towards the café door. He grinned and pointed conspiratorially to his brothers as Prompto frowned into his cocoa. “Besides, it’s not like Ignis misses him this much or he’d probably be home already.”
Prompto looked up from his drink, glaring at the brunet while Ventus spoke up, “Yeah, he probably likes a break from the hyperactivity.”
“Now why would I ever want a break from the love of my life?”
Prompto gasped and jumped up at the sound of Ignis’s accented voice, “IGGY!” He threw his arms around Ignis’s neck, knocking his glasses slightly askew and making him chuckle in amusement. Prompto pulled back, holding Ignis’s face in his hands, “I missed you.”
“Come now, I wasn’t gone for that long.”
“Yeah, but you said I couldn’t text you or anything!”
“I apologize, darling. It was a rather important meeting.”
Prompto hummed a bit before pressing his lips to Iggy’s in a warm kiss, “Well, I suppose I can forgive you, if you take me home and make it up to me.”
Ignis laughed at that, holding Prompto closer and pressing their foreheads together, “Of course, love. Anything for you.”

A Caelum Christmas
Game: Final Fantasy XV
Characters: Noctis, Prompto, Luna, Aulea, Regis, Clarus, Iris, Ignis, Gladiolus
Pairing: Technically not about pairings, but if you’ve been around the blog you know its Regis/Aulea, Noctluna, and Promnis
Rating: Everyone
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count: 2235 words
Notes: Okay so this is a followup to A Holiday Dilemma. This is basically just the christmas at the Caelums! Also if you don’t know what Christmas Crackers are look them up! They’re British and are really cool! Also, look up an ugly Christmas suit and tell me Ignis wouldn’t wear one. Hope you all enjoy the story!
Luna crept towards the now open door to the dark room. The bells attached to her outfit made the lightest jingling noise as she inched forward. She heard a small giggle behind her and hushed them quickly.
“Guys! We don’t want to wake him up!”
Ignis pushed his glasses up his nose, a small smirk on his face. “I thought that was the whole point of this Luna.”
Prompto let out a tiny giggle, “come on you know what she means. Let’s go Lu!”
She nodded and took the first step into Noctis bedroom. The plush carpeting completely muffling her heels on the floor. She breathed a sigh of relief before walking towards the fan that was aimed at the lump on the bed.
“Geez why is it so dark in here it’s almost noon!”
Ignis, Luna, and Prompto shushed Gladio as the lump shifted slightly on the bed. They froze and watched it with wide eyes until it settled back down, the telltale rising of his calm breathing given away his sleep. Prompto and Luna sighed in relief as Ignis smacked the larger man over the head.
“I’m sorry! I have a loud voice!”
“Well hush up!”
Prompto adjusted his grip on the bowl full of glitter in his arms. “Guys shush! Luna’s about the unplug the fan.” The group fell silent as Luna dug for the cord. She found it quickly and unplugged it from the wall with a sharp tug. They didn’t dare turn it off with the switch because the thing was so old it made horrible noises whenever the switch was touched. As the fan died down they moved closer to Noctis’s’s bed, staring down at the black lump in the covers where they could now make out which direction he was facing. Luck was on their side, seeing as he was facing them.
Ignis adjusted the red tie on his ugly Christmas suit and went to grab the edge of the cover. “Everyone have their glitter ready?”
The other three nodded raising heir bowls up high, looking like Santa and his two elves of glitter death. Luna had gone full out on her outfit for the holiday, complete with red shoes, green striped tights, and a green tutu. Prompto outfit consisted of a Santa hat, green jeans, white boots, and a red sweater that said ‘merry Christmas ya filthy animal’. Gladio has simply just elected to wear a Santa suit.
“On three…” Ignis grabbed the corner of the blanket and held up his other hand, counting down slowly as the three lifted the bowls higher. Luna and Prompto were giggling uncontrollably, even Gladio and Ignis were having a hard time containing their mischievous glee. Ignis held up two finger and began lifting the blanket, biting his lip to keep from laughing.
Once he held up three, pandemonium hit. The three thew blanket off of Noctis, revealing the young adult in just his boxers. Noctis scrunched his body In closer before cracking open one eye.
“Whazzit?” He asked sleepily.
The four miscreants grinned evilly before shouting in unison, “MERRY CHRISTMAS NOCTIS!” They then proceeded to pour the large bowls of glitter all over the man, making him jump out of the bed.
“Agh! What the hell!?”
Prompto and Luna dropped the plastic bowls on the ground before rushing towards the door. “Should have gotten up earlier!”
“I’m sorry darling I really am… but also… I’m not!” Luna gave him a shit eating grin before blowing him a kiss. “Love you!”
Noctis ran a hand through his bed head, making it worse, before growling and giving chase. “You assholes! I’m going to have glitter up my ass for years now!”
The only response he got was their laughter ringing down the hall. As he passed Gladio the big guy put an arm out to stop him, “not so fast cupcake.”
“Get out of my way, I gotta go beat up Prompto.”
Ignis smirked and grabbed another bowl, this one full of ice. “Not without my present first. Happy Christmas Noctis!” He reaches out and pulled the waistband of noctis boxers away from his back before pouring the ice down them. Noctis yelped and began hopping around, trying to get the ice out of the tighter legs of his underwear as Gladio and Ignis guffawed in laughter.
“I’m going to kill you two!”
Gladio paused in laughing only to say, “if you can catch us first!” Before he rushes out the door, Ignis in stride with him.
“Oh and merry Christmas you filthy animal!”
“I’m keeping all of your gifts!”
“Noted!”
Noctis growled again and with one final hop got the last ice cube out. For once going back to bed was not on his mind, instead this morning the only thing was revenge. He ran out of his room, wildly looking around for the four people who were once his friends, now they were traitors.
He heard shallow gasping from over by the kitchen. He grinned when he recognized Luna’s voice whispering something. He rushed towards the bright room, stopping when he entered the threshold. Luna squeaked in fear and grabbed onto Ignis, hiding behind him.
“Noctis! Remember it’s Christmas!”
Noctis just glared at them before turning his gaze to his parents who were sitting at the kitchen table, sipping coffee.
“Good morning son.”
“Noctis please put on your clothes.”
Noctis took in a deep breath before letting it out quickly. “Yeah sorry mom. I’ll go do that, Merry Christmas.”
The blue-eyed woman smiled over her mug. “did you enjoy your wakeup call?”
Noctis narrowed his eyes at the retreating figures of the new traitors. “No, I didn’t, I think some people are going to get their gifts taken away!”
Prompto gasped, horrified, “You wouldn’t!”
Noctis fixed him with a dead stare. “I would, and I am.”
He was greeted with whines from the group, “Noct! You suck!”
He shrugged, “Don’t be mean on Christmas.” He walked away back to his room, quickly pulling on his suit and tie. He wore it out of habit form his mother dragging him to his grandparents every year. Now that both were gone, his parents hosted Christmas. They had been alone until Gladiolius’s mother passed away, then Regis had started inviting them over for Christmas. Generally, the Amicitia’s brought all of their gifts over to the Caelum’s and spent both Christmas Eve and Day with them. Then Ignis had finally started coming over on Christmas Eve to get at least one day of the Holidays with the people he loved. Prompto would only come over on Christmas Eve, and usually only if his parents were working the holiday like they were this year. This year they were working a midnight shift so Ignis and Prompto were staying at the Caelums and then would go to Prompto’s house for Christmas morning and lunch before Ignis had to leave for a very tense Christmas dinner. Noctis threw a comb through his hair and spiked it up in his usual do. After finishing his morning routine, he headed back into the kitchen, shooting a glare into the living room where his friends, now plus Iris, had gathered to play games.
“Hey Noct wanna play-“ Prompto cut off when he saw the glare. “Ah geez! Sorry Grinch!”
Noctis stuck his tongue out at him before heading into the kitchen. His mom had already started preparing the dinner (with Ignis’s help, but Noctis chose to ignore the number one traitor). “Hey, Mom, need any help?”
Aulea paused what she was doing and gave her son a strange look, since he was usually playing his video games before Christmas dinner or shaking his gifts to try and figure out what he’d gotten. “Well, if you really want to help, I suppose you could start peeling the potatoes.” She smirked as he visibly grimaced at the menial task she doled out to him, and Noctis sighed and walked over to the cutlery drawer, glaring at Ignis until he moved from in front of it. Noct pulled out a peeler and set to the task at hand, barely resisting grumbling the whole way through. When he finished that task, his mother had him start chopping up vegetables. Each time one of the traitors would come in to talk to him, he ignored them and would only talk to Clarus, his parents, and Iris. As dinner came closer the four traitors gathered in the living room, whispering amongst themselves as they watched Noctis.
“Maybe we overdid it?”
Ignis fixed Luna with a baleful look, “Oh please, there is no way that got him this mad, this is his revenge.”
Prompto worried at his lip, “I dunno babe, the glitter isn’t that big of a deal, but the ice might have been a bit much.”
Gladio grunted, sipping on a tall glass of Regis’s special rum eggnog. “oh please, the wimp can handle a little ice.”
Ignis glanced over at Noctis who was laughing with his mother. “He will break eventually.”
With that the group separated and Ignis went back into the kitchen to set the table and start getting things ready, avoiding the glaring Noctis. After Ignis walked by Aulea pulled Noctis towards the bar where Clarus and Regis were talking.
“Are you really that mad at them?”
Noctis shook his head, “Nah, just making them sweat a little bit for revenge.” He grinned at her when she snorted into her wine glass.
“You are so evil. Definitely my son.”
“I know.”
She poured another glass of wine. “Go give this to Luna please, she looks worried.”
He nodded and took the glass, heading over to where she was helping Prompto put up mistletoe.
“Why are we doing this Prom?”
“I think it would be funny to see how many people have to kiss others.”
“This is going to end badly.”
Noctis cleared his throat, handing her the glass before stalking away. She watched him with wide eyes before turning to Prompto, fear behind her eyes.
“He is truly evil.”
Prompto snorted and nodded in agreement. They continued putting up the last of the decorations until Ignis came out to tell them all dinner was ready. Everyone clambered for the kitchen, each eager to start eating the best meal of the year. Once everyone was in their seats, Regis set down his drink at the head and looked at them all with a soft smile.
“Thank you all for joining our family this Christmas. I know some of you didn’t have another place to go, and I hope you know all of you are always welcome in the Caelum household. Merry Christmas everyone.”
The table replied Merry Christmas back at him before Ignis uncovered the dishes on the table, the steam momentarily blocking the view of the other side of the table.
Iris gasped, “Oh wow Iggy! This all looks really amazing!”
Ignis blushed lightly, “Oh please, Aulea did most of the work.”
She scoffed as she began dishing out food onto plates, “oh please, drinking wine in the corner of the kitchen is not cooking.”
Ignis smiled at her fondly before gesturing to the steaming food, “well dig in everyone!”
After that it was pure pandemonium. Everyone was reaching for food, laughing, and talking. The table got even louder when Aulea pulled out a box of Christmas Crackers from Tenebrae.
Luna squealed when she saw the brightly colored packages. “I was hoping you guys would find those!”
Regis smiled at her, “well of course! You deserve to feel as at home as possible. By the way, I thought your brother was going to join us today.”
She shook her head no, “Ravus decided to spend the holidays with his boyfriend Loqi.”
Prompto cocked his head to the side. “Wait I thought they weren’t dating.”
Luna rolled her eyes with a shrug, “I have no idea.”
Iris grabbed a red cracker and held the other end out to Luna. “Hey Lu, wanna pop this one open?”
Luna beamed and grabbed the end tightly before pulling on it, resulting in It cracking open. Iris got the larger piece, cheering as she put on the paper hat. The first cracker cued even more getting popped open until everyone was wearing a flimsy paper hat. The large group continued eating until they were thoroughly stuffed, just barely making it out the living room before they all collapsed in a heap by the tree. The food coma was about to hit before Clarus grunted.
“Guys… Presents… before I collapse.”
Regis chuckled, “You already have my old friend.”
Clarus laughed and reached under the tree, pulling out his gifts to everyone. Noctis rolled over from his spot on the floor, grabbing immaculately wrapped gifts and passing them out to everyone. His friends stared at their gifts in shock before turning to him.
Ignis stared at the box in his lap perplexed. “I thought you were taking away our gifts.”
“Yeah what’s up with that cupcake?”
Noctis smirked at them, “Oh did you guys really think I would actually do that? I love Christmas! I just wanted to make you guys sweat a little bit.”
Prompto groaned, “You are evil incarnate!”
Luna giggled and turned the small box in her hands. “I do suppose we deserved it…”
Noctis chuckled, “Yeah you did. Merry Christmas guys.”
His closest friends grinned sheepishly at him before opening their gifts. “Merry Christmas Noctis.”

Holiday Dilemma
Game: Final Fantasy XV
Characters: Noctis Caelum, Lunafreya Nox Flueret
Pairing: Lunoct, Noctluna
Rating: Everyone
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count:583 words
Notes: First off, I want to say I’m sorry that this is so late. It probably should have been posted at least a week ago but both of us got super busy with preparing for our own family’s holiday celebrations. Second, the reason why we simply chose Christmas as the winter holiday they celebrate rather than something else, or making one up was because Christmas exists in the Kingdom Hearts universe, and even though this is a fanfic with ffxv characters, this blog is mainly a Kingdom Hearts based AU, so we thought them celebrating (a secular) Christmas would be the easiest to accomplish (It’s also always the easiest to write based off of your own experiences so that influenced the choice as well). Anyway, enjoy, and Happy Holidays :)
Lunafreya sighed, hanging up her phone and pinching the bridge of her nose. “Everything ok, Moony?” He looked up as Noctis set her coffee in front of her, concern filling his deep blue eyes
Luna held back another dramatic sigh as she looked back at her mother's name on her recent call list. “Apparently, Gentiana and my mother are going away for the holidays this year.” She frowned at the photo of her mother, wondering what exactly she was supposed to do for the holiday season if she wasn’t going home.
Noctis seemed to have the same line of thought as her as he swallowed the bite of donut he had been eating, “so, what’re you gonna do?”
Luna swallowed, unsure if she should bring up her next line of thought, “I’m not exactly sure. I’ve never spent the holidays anywhere but at the manor, except for the one time mother took Ravus and I to the ski chalet.”
Noctis seemed lost in thought for a moment before he got out his phone and started typing on it. “Well, I’m sure mom and dad wouldn’t mind you coming for Christmas,” he paused for a moment, meeting her gaze with slightly wary eyes, “that is, if you want to spend it with us?”
Luna gasped in delight as if he’d just offered the world to her, “Truly Noctis? You’d want to spend Christmas with me?”
Noctis’s cheeks tinged pink as he rubbed the back of his neck, setting his phone down, “I mean, yeah, if that’s what you want. Why wouldn’t I want to spend this time of year with the person I love?”
Luna smiled fondly at his awkward fidgeting before her face fell at a sudden though. “Oh no, dammit!” she picked up her phone and started typing out a message while Noct stared at her curiously. She looked up a little guilty, “What about Ravus?”
Noctis, the sweetheart, tried to hide the sneer that made its way onto his face at the mention of her brother, but the disdain was as clear on his face as it was on Ravus's when she mentioned Noctis. He sighed, resigned to his fate of dealing with him through the holidays. “I mean, I’m sure he can come too if he doesn’t have other plans,” he finally got out through gritted teeth. He grabbed his phone as it vibrated. “Mom and dad say you can come, and anyone else too. The Amicitias almost always spend Christmas dinner with us, so they’ll be there. And Prompto’s parents are on duty this year so he and Ignis will be coming and then celebrating with them at a later date.”
Luna looked at him with a grin on her face, getting up from her seat and sitting back down in his lap, arms wrapped around his neck. “How did I get so lucky to end up with a sweetheart like you?”
“Moony!” Noctis’s cheeks turned a deeper shade of pink, but he wrapped his arms around her waist in return, burying his face into her neck as she snuggled into him.She kissed the top of his head, soft hairs tickling her nose along with the scent of hibiscus shampoo (that he’d stolen from her). “I think this will be the best Christmas ever. Thank you, Noct”
She felt the quiet hum from him that she knew meant he was happy and grinned, not even letting Olette yelling at them for PDA wipe the smile off her face.

Prompto’s Birthday
Game: Final Fantasy XV
Characters: Prompto, Ignis, Lea
Pairing: Promnis
Rating: Teen
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count: 1301 Words
Notes: Hey what’s up everybody! Sorry for the absence lately but school is kicking my ass (learning two foreign languages at once) but we are going to try and keep pumping out stories so please don’t forget us! Anyways, on to the story! Happy Birthday Prompto!! He is the best boy! Hope you all enjoy this!
Today was becoming the worst birthday ever. Prompto sniffled and burrowed himself deeper into the plush armchair. Of course, his birthday had to be on a cold, wet, rainy day and they had midterms this week, which meant of course Izunia gave them a five hundred question exam. Prompto sighed and adjusted his grip on the steaming mug Olette had given him. So far coming to the cafe had been the best idea he had all day. As soon as he walked in his cousins had attacked him with hugs and gifts. They were all small and simple, Roxas’s chocobo chick dumpling was his favorite. Though it was a little too cute to eat. Unfortunately, his cousins couldn’t stay long and had to go to class. They still tried to cheer Prompto up by convincing Olette to let him sit by the fireplace and paid for him to get a mug of his favorite tea. Plus, Prompto noticed that the theme of the cafe today was strangely chocobos, or at least everything Prompto had placed in front of him was.
Prompto shifted in his chair and checked his phone. His heart sinking a little bit further when he saw no new messages. Ignis has been gone when he woke up this morning and there had been no notes or messages. All day he hadn’t heard from the enigmatic man and it was beginning to worry him.
“Prom?”
“Hmm?” He looked up and caught Lea’s acid green eyes.
“It’s getting dark out. You might wanna head home before any prowling professors get wind that you’re here.” Lea smirked at the end making Prompto chuckle.
“Heh, yeah you’re right. Thanks Lea.” He brought the mug to his lips and drank the last few dregs before handing it to the redhead.
“You’re welcome, oh! And happy birthday Prompto!”
Prompto gave him a weak smile, “thanks dude.”
“Hey, I know I don’t have a lot of money, but if you’re ever in Radiant Garden looking for a tattoo, go to Firaga Tattoos, call up my friend Isa and tell him I sent you. You’ll get one for free.”
“You don’t have to go do that.”
Lea smirked, “I know man, but I am so deal with it.”
“Well thanks.” Prompto grinned at him before slipping on his jacket and beanie. Yes, it did have adorable cat ears on it, no it wasn’t girly and he totally didn’t steal it from iris. “Guess I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“See you then, Prom.”
Prompto sighed and picked up his backpack, slinging the ratty thing over his shoulder and he headed out into the... rain... again. He groaned. “Great more rain.” He sighed and hunkered down his jacket and began the fairly short trek to his apartment. Everyone else had been up this morning to wish him happy birthday, it felt so odd to not have Ignis around. And when he brought it up they avoided the question. He received gifts from all of them, Luna and Noctis of course went overboard on spending and didn’t even realize it by buying him a brand new computer, Iris made him chocobo plushies, and Gladio got him some new running gear. His cousins’ gifts he hadn’t opened but knowing them all it was probably clothes or something Disney. He saw the labels were split up into their “trios” so it was anyone’s game really. The rain pelted down all around him, making him whine just a little as he jogged the last couple blocks to the building. Yes, he knows you get more wet when you run in the rain, but he would rather get out of it faster if he could. He didn’t even bother with the elevator on days like these and took the stairs up two at a time. By the time he reached his apartment he was practically wheezing. “Oh man... I need to go to the gym!” He took in a few gulps of air before twisting the key in the lock, eyebrow raising when he saw it was already unlocked. It was usually always locked. He let the door swing open, a soft glow illuminating his face as a scene of candles and fairy lights came into view. He gasped lightly and quickly racked his brain to make sure someone didn’t ask for the apartment to be empty tonight. Then he saw the table set up for two, a case of sunflowers in the middle. Prompto took off his shoes and bag and left them by the door, rushing towards the flowers and touching them reverently. “They’re so pretty.”
“I’m glad you like them.”
Promotes heart fluttered at the familiar sound. “Ignis.” He breathed as he turned, Ignis was... oh okay.... he was shirtless and just had his trousers and an apron on. The light just barely hid the bright red cheeks he had as he closed the door.
“I apologize for my manner of dress. I was in the middle of cooking when I realized I hadn’t showered. Then I was getting dressed and thought I smelled burning. You’re home earlier than I thought.”
“Lea sent me home ‘cause it was getting dark.”
“Ah of course.” Ignis cleared his throat and smiled at Prompto making him go weak. “Well no matter. I’m sorry I wasn’t here this morning darling, I was getting ready for your birthday surprise!”
Prompto looked around in awe. “It’s amazing Iggy, you really outdid yourself.”
Ignis smiles lightly and pushed up his glasses, “thank you darling. Now there’s still some cooking that needs to be done, why don’t you go take a shower and warm up. I’ll let you know when everything is ready.”
Prompto nodded gratefully and began walking towards the bathroom, “you’re the best boyfriend ever.”
Ignis snorted. “I highly doubt that but thank you.”
“No, you are, trust me. Can’t argue with the birthday boy.”
“No, I guess not. Now go wash up.” He said with a smile as he headed back into the kitchen. Prompto grinned and nodded, following his advice. The warm water rushed over him and melted any tension he had been holding all day. He tried not to stay in there for too long, taking a shorter one than usual. When he got out he could smell the food and hear Ignis plating the meal. “Perfect timing as always.”
Prompto chuckled and got dressed, walking out to the kitchen area, raising an eyebrow when he saw Ignis never put a shirt on. “Too hard to find a shirt Iggy?”
Ignis smirked and began pouring some wine. “And here I thought the birthday boy might like seeing me shirtless, ah well guess I’ll rectify that.”
“No!” Prompto held his hands up, blushing, “you’re perfectly fine the way you are.”
Ignis nodded and pulled out Prompto a chair for him, waiting until he sat down to push it back in. “That’s what I thought darling.”
Prompto looked down at the plate in front of him and grinned when he saw his favorite chili, “you really know how to do this right.”
“I try. Dig in.”
Prompto began eating, moaning at the flavor making Ignis smile proudly. “So... where’s my present? I think I deserve it now after dealing with you being gone all day.”
Ignis coughed lightly and shook his head. “Your gift has to be unwrapped, um... later...”
“How much later?”
“Much later... like nighttime later.” Ignis said with a slight blush as he tried to hide his face behind his wine glass.
Prompto gasped, a blush creeping on his face as he realized what Iggy was saying. “Geez Iggy you really went all out for the birthday huh?”
Ignis smiles at him. “Only the best for you darling.”
“Thanks, Ignis. I love you with all of my heart.”
“Forever and always my love.”

A Brand New Strife
Game: Final Fantasy XV
Characters: Ignis Scientia, Prompto Argentum, (New Cousin!!!) Link Forester
Pairing: Promnis
Rating: Everyone
Author: The Usual Spot Cafe
Word Count: 1776 Words
Notes: Hey guys! Okay So This is a character that I’ve been wanting to write as a relation to our favorite chocobos forever. Link is their cousin who lived in Insomnia near Prompto. He is not Link from the game, but he was named after the Link from the game. Same with his friend Zelda. Midna I just see as an old Al Bhed name that they just happened to use in the game. I am currently learning American Sign Language which is why Link is mute other than it being important to showcase disabilities. Hope you all enjoy!
Ignis heaved a weary sigh before shouldering his bag and getting to his feet. He rubbed his eyes under his glasses, the circles under them only prominent to someone who would see him every day.
“Hey Iggy, you okay? You look a little worn down.”
Ignis turned to his tablemate, Roxas, with a small smile. “I’m fine, don’t worry. Just was up a little late last night helping Noctis with his father’s business.”
Roxas frowned and picked up his messy binder, one that seemed to keep getting messy and have papers sticking out no matter how often Ignis fixed it for him. “You are getting paid for that stuff, right? Basically, being Noct’s assistant?”
“Of course. I’m not an idiot! I’m his… well I don’t think I actually have a job title, I just help him.” He shrugged and began heading towards the door. “Are you heading to the café?”
Roxas sighed and shook his head, looking at his phone. “No, I promised Xion I would meet her and Hayner at the skate park to film a new video.”
“Oh, alright then, have fun Roxas.”
“Thanks! Oh, I think Prompto is at the café around this time! You should head over there and see if he can help you relax.”
Ignis bristled slightly as they left the culinary classroom. “I’m perfectly relaxed!”
Roxas snorted, “Oh sure, perfectly relaxed. Like you weren’t up all-night stressing about some business thing you didn’t need to stress about?”
Ignis blushed and lightly shoved Roxas, “Oh hush you. Now get, Xion doesn’t like to be kept waiting.”
Roxas grimaced, “Yeah, don’t I know it. See you around Ignis.”
“Farewell.”
Roxas waved to him as he stepped out one of the many doors that led to outside. Ignis waved back and continued his way through the throng of people, nodding to those he knew, but otherwise he was trying very hard not to fall asleep on his feet. He didn’t tell Roxas that he had been up for the past three nights on the phone with Noctis’s father trying to figure out who had been stealing money from their accounts. Noctis had tried to help, but as always, he got frustrated and kept going to bed before they were done for the night, meaning Iggy’s work was doubled. Ignis knew Noctis didn’t mean harm by it, but they needed to figure out the thief before the week ended and they lost even more money. Ignis just felt exhausted and refused to take time off work or school so he just kept trucking right along. Ignis finally reached the door closest to the café and hurried through it. He could see the cute little tables Olette had just recently put outside of the café and could even see his adorable boyfriend sitting at one of the tables…with a man who had long blonde hair. Hair longer than Ventus. Ignis stopped dead and narrowed his eyes at this person as Prompto laughed at something he said. Ignis tried to push down the jealous feeling curling in his belly, he really did. He began taking slow steps forward, trying to gauge how Prompto felt about this person from his mannerisms.
They were close…very close. Ignis felt the jealousy tighten in his stomach and he quickly finished walking up to the table, standing just behind the new person who was silent. This blonde was wearing a red beanie, light blue shirt, and gray pants. All in all, mildly a fashion disaster in Ignis’s opinion. Ignis cleared his throat lightly, making Prompto look up from his phone.
“Ignis! Hey, you got out early!”
Ignis smiled involuntarily at that perky voice. It washed over him like a cool wave, making that jealous feeling dissipate in his gut a little…only a little. “Hello. Yes, I did, we just had a quiz today.” He walked up to Prompto and bent down, pressing a kiss against his boyfriends freckled cheek. Was he being possessive? No...well, maybe a little. He didn’t care. Ignis sat down next to his boyfriend and grabbed his open hand, making Prompto blush slightly, which was always a victory in Iggy’s book.
“So, who is this darling?” Ignis turned to the other person with a smile on his face before freezing when he saw a smiling blonde haired blue-eyed person looking back at him.  He looked uncannily like the video game character Link from the newest game. From the hair, to the eyes, to even his ears (Which were not pointed as far as Ignis could see, but his did have blue hoops dangling from them).
The male waved at him with a smile as Prompto cleared his throat. “Ignis, meet Link.”
Ignis snorted, “You’re joking. That’s a nickname, right?”
‘Link’ rolled his eyes and gave Ignis a ‘are you serious look?’ look. Prompto bit his lip, “No we’re serious. He’s my cousin, we grew up together!”
Link tapped Prompto on the hand and made some quick signs with his hands. Ignis immediately chagrinned when he saw Link use sign language. He signed, “You’ve seriously never told Ignis about me? Jerk.”
Prompto pouted, “you never came up dude.”
Ignis looked back and forth between the two confused, “hold on a moment.” He turned to Link and pointed at him before touching his earlobe, then his mouth, looking confused. “Are you deaf?”
Link shook his head no with a small sad smile. “I was in a car accident when I was around ten I think? I don’t really remember for sure. Anyways, my neck got cut by like a piece of glass and my vocal cords were damaged in the process. I can make some noises, but can’t really form words.”
Ignis frowned, “Oh I’m so sorry to hear that. At least you survived.”
Link smiled and nodded, halfway shrugging his shoulders as Prompto grinned, “Yup! Ol’ Linky could never die on us!”
Ignis pursed his lips before turning back to Link, an apologetic look on his face. “May I ask a question?”
Link huffed and pulled down the collar of his high-necked shirt, revealing the long-jagged scar that stretched across his neck. Ignis winced and shook his head. “Oh, six no! I apologize I didn’t mean that! I was just going to actually ask you if you knew a Zelda.” He rubbed the back of his neck embarrassed as Link blushed.
The blonde made a fist and rubbed it on his chest in a circle. “I’m sorry.” He then nodded and pulled out his phone, Ignis raising an eyebrow when he saw the Sheikah Slate case.
Prompto snorted, “‘Oh I don’t like the Legend of Zelda! It’s a terrible game! I hate that I was named after it!’ Yeah right, you’ve only completed every game on master mode and can ride a horse, fence, and you’re in the archery club you friggen nerd.”
Link looked up from his phone with a glare and a blush, flipping Prompto off before clicking on something and sliding the phone on the table towards Ignis. Ignis grabbed it and saw a picture of Link with his arms around two women. One was about Link’s height and had bright blonde hair, her blue eyes shining with mirth against the familiar sea of Destiny Islands. The other was dark skinned and had bright red hair, the spirals in her reddish orange eyes giving her away as a member of the Al Bhed tribe. Ignis put the phone down and looked up at Link.
“Lovely photo. Was that when you visited the Islands?”
Link nodded, quickly signing, “Yeah! The girl on my right is Zelda, the other girl, and I promise I’m not lying, is Midna. They’re my closest friends.” He turned to glare at Prompto, “Especially since my very own flesh and blood tends to ignore I exist unless I’m right in front of him!”
Prompto groaned, “That isn’t what happened you jerk wad. You just never came up.”
Link gasped, the noise sounding strangled as he let out a croaky harsh, “Ass!”
Prompto snorted, “Dude! Don’t you use your voice on me!”
Link shrugged and glared at Prompto as Ignis looked at him thoughtfully, “So, you can speak?”
Link moved his hand in a ‘so-so’ motion before signing, “Only sometimes. Usually if I don’t talk all day I can save it for the end of the day to tell my parents I love them and goodnight, or when I call Zel and Mids.”
“That’s very sweet of you. Are you visiting us for long?”
Link shrugged, “I’m not sure. Zelda and Midna will probably follow me eventually so might be here for a bit.”
“Where are you staying?”
Prompto winced as Link turned to him. “Oh… yeah… Uh, Iggy?”
Ignis turned to Prompto, a disappointed look on his face. “He’s staying with us, isn’t he?”
Prompto nodded sheepishly, “Yeah, sorry I forgot to tell you. I just got so excited!”
Link frowned and tapped Ignis, “I hope it isn’t a problem.”
“Oh, it isn’t I just wish Prompto had told us all.”
Link rolled his eyes, “Me too. But I wouldn’t mind heading over to the apartment now. I just got done with the long drive here and ran into Prom. I wouldn’t mind getting a chance to relax and maybe shower?”
Ignis smiled and nodded, “That sounds very nice, would you like to head over there now?” Link nodded with a grin as Ignis turned to Prompto. “Do you have another class?”
Prompto sighed dejectedly. “Unfortunately, yeah, but you guys go on ahead, it’s alright.”
Ignis smirked and stood up, “We were going to anyways. Come along Link, I believe you have embarrassing stories to tell me of childhood Prompto.”
Link laughed silently and nodded, before grabbing the duffle bag under his chair and waving bye to Prompto. Prompto tsked and shot them a glare. “Yeah whatever, go have fun without me jerks!”
Ignis nodded and smiled at Link, who grinned back. “Yes, I think we shall, farewell, darling.”
“Whatever!”
Link and Ignis laughed at Prompto’s misery together before heading towards the apartment, already talking about the one-time Prompto went on the slide as a child and ripped his pants, leaving him with a huge gaping hole in them all through the rest of the school day. Prompto groaned as he watched them walk away from him, catching tidbits of the story through glimpses of Link’s hands. This was going to be a long visit, he just hoped his other cousins had even more embarrassing stories of Link to share that would trump any stories Link had of Prompto. Yet, knowing his family, they were all going to gang up on him.
