Sage Bay

The youngest of the Bay witch sisters, Sage is a harvest witch. She spends her time working the land and the farmer's market. Her powers include growing the best apples on Star Island and promising ghosts vengeance on those who wronged them.

Verbena Bay

Fourth out of five Bay witch sisters, Verbena is a house witch like their mother. She is a very successful realtor on Star Island, mostly due to her ability to send ghosts to the afterlife. She has a strained relationship with her sisters after moving out of the family cottage two years earlier without giving much of a reason.

Rosemary Bay

Garden witch, sex magic enthusiast, and general ray of sunshine, Rosemary is the second oldest of the Bay sisters. She works as a florist while she dabbles in love/lust magic in every bouquet she makes.

Lavender Bay

The oldest of the Bay sisters, Lavender is a very successful Kitchen Witch. She owns and runs The Immortal Cupcake, a wildly popular bakery on Star Island. She has very little time in her life for anything other than work and making sure her sisters aren't hunted down by evil witches and warlocks.

At age 20, Lavender applied for and was granted guardianship of her three minor sisters when their parents were killed in a car accident. She made the decision to move the family from Ohio to Star Island where their great aunt had bequeathed them a cottage.

Owen Davies

Sonofawitch. One of two sons born to a Davies water witch, Owen's powers are limited. He can sense storms and break up very weak ones. Owen works as a carpenter and has been building furniture for his soulmate for years. Now if he could only find her.

The Davies Water Witches are an old and powerful family living in Maine but historically from Wales. Their patron is Llŷr, the sea.

Laurel Bay

A Hedge Witch. Her powers include divination (tarot), mind reading (she hates it), and traveling to The Hedge World. Employed as a tarot card reader on Star Island, lives in the Bay cottage with four of her five sisters.

Laurel is the third daughter of Holly Bay, house witch. She is the great-niece of June Bay and sister to Lavender, Rosemary, Verbena, and Sage.

Hi! I'm Colleen Delaney, author of The Hedge Witch (The Witches of Star Island #1) and many more to come over the next few years.

A reader mentioned she wished there was a kind of glossary of the characters and their magic specialities, and while a simple list on my website probably would have done it, I spent many many hours on tumblr from 2013-2017 and thought...pretty pictures would be more fun! It'll take me time to get them all done but this seems like a wonderful to pretend I'm not procrastinating
