Since there seems to be an actual interest in the game, I finally made a game post for The Hedge Witch.
Description:
Take on the role of the local hedge witch. Cure ailments, make dubious love potions and even hex your enemy. The choice is yours! With your trusted familiar and the nifty cottage your mentor left you, you'll have to deal with a runaway prince, a lovestruck dryad and even confront the bothersome changeling that won't leave you alone. It's up to you whether or not you'll help them.
Characters:
Tumblr media
Myrdril - gender selectable (your enemy/possible RO): Myrdril is the other hedge witch in the forest. Arrogant and rude, Myrdril sees themselves as the far superior hedge witch and will stop at nothing to discredit your skills. There are rumours that Myrdril is a changeling, swapped at birth with a fae child.
Tumblr media
Prince Barlow - he/him (the runaway Unseelie Prince/your customer): Prince Barlow is a runaway Unseelie Prince. Meant to take reign of the Unseelie Court, Prince Barlow left it all to pursue a relationship with a mortal named Vale. Some may call it romantic, but most consider Prince Barlow to be too weak to rule over the wicked Unseelie.
Tumblr media
Vale - he/him (the mortal companion/your customer): Vale is a mortal man who found himself wandering through the forest. Discovering the fae, Vale soon become besotted with Prince Barlow and decided to remain behind, forgetting all about the mortal world.
Tumblr media
Peony - she/her (the lovesick dryad/your customer): Peony is a dryad with a penchant for bawdy love stories and soul mates. Peony can be fickle and believes that you can woo anyone with the right spell. Currently, Peony is obsessed with a kelpie.
Tumblr media
Arstus/Adtril - gender selectable (your mentor and guardian): Your mentor took you in as a baby, after finding you at the doorstep of their cottage. Your mentor has taught you everything about magic and has since passed the cottage over to you, leaving you in charge while they go off travelling.
Tumblr media
Your cat - he/him, name selectable (a wicked king turned into a cat/your familiar):  Your cat is a familiar that was gifted to you by your mentor. You soon discovered that your cat is really a wicked king who was cursed and subsequently turned into a cat. Snarky and rude, your cat has no qualms in insulting you or your customers.
Play the demo.

Lavender Bay
The oldest of the Bay sisters, Lavender is a very successful Kitchen Witch. She owns and runs The Immortal Cupcake, a wildly popular bakery on Star Island. She has very little time in her life for anything other than work and making sure her sisters aren't hunted down by evil witches and warlocks.
At age 20, Lavender applied for and was granted guardianship of her three minor sisters when their parents were killed in a car accident. She made the decision to move the family from Ohio to Star Island where their great aunt had bequeathed them a cottage.

Introduction to Shielding
If you haven’t already, check out my lessons on visualisation for the basic knowledge you’ll need to begin practicing shielding.
So what is shielding?
Shielding is a manipulation of energy, used to create a barrier between yourself and unwanted, usually negative or malicious energies. It’s a basic aspect of spellwork that everyone, beginner or experienced, should use to keep themselves safe.
What can I use shielding for?
Some beginner-level uses for shielding are drawing a circle, or casting a spell. A more experienced individual might use shielding in astral travel or spirit work, where there are a lot more malicious energies involved. Personally, I use shielding as often as possible, for instance when I do tarot readings, spells, spirit work, shadow work, and especially cursing. It gives that extra guarantee that you won't flood your personal space with unwanted energies.
Other uses include shielding against real-life dangers, to a certain degree. I often shield when I am walking through town at night for extra protection. But please remember to take other measures too! Call someone, pretend to be on the phone, plan your route, and even carry pepper spray if it's legal where you are.
An easy shielding method:
The easiest way to explain this is to think of your energy as a physical manifestation. Think how power attacks are shown in anime or cartoons - a streak of colour or light, or an element. Make it personable to you: fire signs (Leo/Aries/Sagittarius) might visualise fire, or a red energy or light etc.
Firstly, some people prefer to cleanse before shielding. I don't think its all that necessary but the choice is yours.
Begin by easing yourself into meditation. Get comfortable, and use whichever technique works for you. I have various methods for this in my visualisation lessons if you are struggling.
Attempt to visualise the energies surrounding you in your mind. It might be a swirling colour of light, almost like a cloud of dust. It could be flames, it could be water. Maybe try to see it held within your hand.
Now, attempt to shape this energy around your entire body. You might want to start with a bubble or a cube surrounding you. Feel this shape surrounding and protecting you. Visualise negative and unwanted energies being held back by it.
You can also layer shields, so if you are working with a particularly malicious energy you might want to have multiple shapes surrounding you, all within each other. You can also work with deities or spirits to ask them to shield you too.
Shielding Incantation
When I am shielding, I recite a spell as well as using visualisation techniques.
The shield of protection, I carry it strong, No ill wishes or trouble shall come along, You cannot harm me, or weaken my soul, My light is my weapon, and peace is my goal.
Try it out for yourself and let me know in the comments how it went! Thank you as always for reading. Please message for requests.

Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I have been active on Witchblr, and it appears that most of the blogs that I followed are no longer active.
Please reblog or comment if you are an active witch blog, because I'd love to follow!

That ask about The Hedge Witch actually made me go back to the game files and I realised that the scenes planned fit better by being split into 2 chapters. So here you go, the completed Chapter 3 (only a few more passages really). Do give it a go, if you haven't already 😊
