Writing Bucket-list

Summer's almost here and my goal is to make writing fun, so here's a bucket list of the most random things to do. Romanticising writing is the hardest thing to do when you hate yours, but hopefully, this summer changes things:) i dont know why my english sounds so foreign today so ignore any grammar errors😭👍

-Everyday writing challenge: Every day you write, take a picture. It can be outlining, a funny line, literally you staring at the document, etc. Thirty days, thirty pictures.

-Make a collab Pinterest Board: This one's actually so much fun! Make a collab board on Pinterest and add your writer friends. Feel free to add me too I'd love to see them. You and your friends save pictures that remind you of your WIP, characters, etc. My Pinterest is @crystalsdump

-Read Summer Books: It may seem non-relevant to the post but your goal is to read those books, choose at least three elements you like from them, and incorporate them into your WIP. Preferably something that excites you to write.

-Dress up as OCs: Like in school we have the dress-up as characters day, have a week where you wear clothes that your characters would wear. PS: If it's fantasy, imagine them in the modern world.

-Be your OC: You can do this on Dress Up as OC week. Pretend to be your oc for a day, what would they eat, drink, wear, say, travel, read, etc. Again, make it as if they were in the modern world.

-Decor: You NEED to make writing-related room decor because that's probably the most motivating thing ever. Maybe print/ write a quote of your WIP or something that reminds you of it, or a painting with the colours of your book. Even the littlest things make all the difference.

-Writing corner: Think about where you write usually. Try to make it more appealing to sit in, even if it's your bed. Plants perhaps, or fairy lights? This one can get hard if you're not creative, but I assure you even the smallest change is helpful.

-Make an Instagram page for your characters and go crazy. Post your book drama from your OC's POV, and respond with another character's POV.

Things To Add In Your WIP( or just scenarios to imagine for motivation)

short introduction before the actual post and a genuine sorry for being so MIA(i think that’s how you use it) i actually really enjoyed writing this post and hope you like it<3

-Heists: Gosh it can be a heist about literally anything. It doesn't even need to be full fledged, just trying to steal something from someones room. Like the whispered words, forced proximity, heavy labored breathing, scared that the other one gets caught, hugging without thinking when they get the object, awkward pulling away with the thoughts of why it felt so nice, teasing about the whole thing. Like omg its amazing???

-Friend group scene: Idk about everyone's WIPS, but mine has a friend group. If you don't, you can always have one with family or your otp. Just imagine a beach scene where character a hauls character b on their back, and everyone's laughing. Or one friend gets dared to do something to an annoying rich person at a ball, or even just playing a game together and character a betrays character b in the game. It's all so human and pure-

-Dancing: CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH DANCING IN THE RAIN WITH MUSIC IS SUPERIOR. Like imagine them holding hands and twirling together, heads turned upwards, a huge grin stretching across their faces. It can be with a friend group or ship, both work well. Like the contagious laughs, the feel of rain drops on their cheeks, the drenched clothes, the carefree attitude, what more does one need?Or also dancing anywhere else, like a ball or in a cafe after closing time, or at a wedding.

-New Character: I find that adding a new characters make you a bit refreshed and excited. You find yourself wanting to explore this new person. Who are they? What is their significance? Best characters are ones that stir up trouble. An old ex, a parent who left, a thief? Let your mind wander.

-Cliches: You know, I actually like cliches. But with a twist. Make it your own. One bed trope, end them fighting and him teasing her and just doing something wholly their own. Mess around with it, and I assure you you'll have so much fun.

romance novels are for the girls who started off with craving academic validation then moved onto male validation. they are for the girls who make little doodles in their books, the ones who always 'have their head in the clouds', the ones who are always smiling, the ones who forgive too easily, the ones who journal, the ones who love spring and summer, the ones who stop to appreciate nature, the ones who take care with how they dress, the ones who fear they will never get the love they read about in novels.

Hellooo everyone:)I've finally got some motivation to post(for now) and I miss this account SO MUCH so here's a meet the writer post!

-To everyone new here, HII!! My name's Crystal(vaguely inspired by my real name) and I go by she/her.

-I am a writer, currently plotting out a book( it is a slow process). It's a book about royalty, betrayal, rebellions, enemies to lovers, hidden truths and a web of lies. It is very cliche I suppose but it's mine so it's alright.

-I am also an avid reader, and i enjoy reading romance contemporary(clean), fantasy and sometimes dystopian. I am a fast reader, and I have recently started to annotate my books!

-Apart from that, I enjoy drawing and painting. I adore fashion, cats, poetry, taylor swift, classic based movies, the writing community,academic validation, food, rain and a lot of other random stuff.

-I had pet chicks(who died).

-I learned kung fu for a year.

What is happening to my account?

i honestly have little motivation in this account right now, but will not delete it. the people here are really kind and i do not think i could ever leave the community. so, i will probably post spontaneously(i don't know right now) and try and do some fun stuff to make the community more interactive. there's a high chance soon i'll make this a private account, maintain my pen name and just have my close friends/mutuals here and post random wip stuff. it is currently a work in progress:) i've been trying to work on my mental health recently, and am in the process of making it better. i'll let the days guide me to figuring out where my account is going. until then, enjoy the random posts.

Some rules to keep in mind:)

i really don't like random conversations with people online. obviously got nothing against the person, but personally i avoid long conversations with people virtually. so, if you can, avoid like texting me randomly. i am all open for talks about any help you need with your account, wip or any ideas you'd like to share!! avoid cussing please, avoid talking about political issues and avoid any and all rude comments about anyone. i personally avoid speaking about controversies or talking about issues or current affairs, simply because i choose not to talk about it on social media. so please avoid conversations about that:)

I am literally a teenager who uses writing and reading as a form of escapism, spends her time crying over ink on dead trees, wants to be a bestselling author but never writes, has like 3 friends and has an unhealthy obsession with notebooks😍☝️
