Ciel Phantomhive's Character & Personality

Since having to join the circus, Ciel was given the stage name Smile. Unlike his butler, he's incapable of performing any circus acts of any kind. Only with his contracted demon's help is Ciel able to pull off pretending to be an expert knife thrower. He can't stand physical strain or labor. As such, Ciel is a second-string member. He's one of the many stagehands, newcomers and the like. Ciel must share a tent with one or two people. He's tasked with preparing food, setting up the scenery and supplying the first-string members with what they need before or during a performance.

Snake's Character & Personality

Snake is an eighteen-year-old human-snake hybrid. Because of this, he's capable of understanding snakes and allows them to speak through him. Snake somehow ended up at a freak show where he was kept on display. Eventually, he was rescued by the Noah's Ark Circus and became a first-string member at some point. Snake preforms as a snake charmer. His act is snake dance. Snake keeps several snakes by his side, many of which are deadly poisonous. Some of their names are Wordsworth, Emily, Goethe, Oscar, Wilde, Webster, Bronte, Donne, Keats and Jonathan. Snake is a timid and reserved person who generally only speaks to relay information from his snakes. He and his snakes are shy. Yet, the snakes can be playful at times. Snake is self-conscious about the scales on his skin and fears being ridiculed for looking different from everyone else. He cares dearly for the other first-string members. Although Snake doesn't accompany them on their missions, nor does he refer to them as siblings, he appreciates them because they treat him like family despite his looks. Later, he's taken in by the Phantomhive manor and becomes footman of the household. Since then, Snake has been a loyal and devoted servant to his master, like all the other coworkers. However, he still hopes to be reunited with the other first-string circus members one day.

Black Butler: Book of Circus, Sebastian Michaelis —Aesthetic

Sebastian Michaelis' Character & Personality

Upon joining the circus, Sebastian is given the stage name Black. As a demon, he's able to outshine all the first-string members in regard to their talents and acts. Due to this, Sebastian is able to become the understudy of any lead circus performer and perfectly reenact their shows. He can do unlimited skills and dangerous feats beyond any other circus artist. Despite this, Sebastian has only ever officially performed a trapeze act.

Freckles' Character & Personality

Doll was raised in the slums with her parents. Her left eye is burned and marred because her parents raised her too harshly. This consequently deformed Doll at some point in her life. She's a first-string member of the circus. There, Doll is a type of aerialist who specializes in tightrope walking. Her act is aerial ballet. Doll is considered "the princess" of the Circus with a "death-defying tightrope walk." She wears a solemn expression and acts in a taciturn manner. Doll is exceedingly loyal to the other first-string circus performers. She views them all as family; calling them her brothers and sisters, while Kelvin is her "Father." When disguised as a second string-member, Freckles, she's cordial, welcoming and innocent. She's eager to make new friends and judges it a necessity to look after them. Freckles will wake them up when they oversleep, share her food and teach them how to be a better performer. Her desire to be surrounded by new friends is due to how often she adopts the aforementioned alias because she dislikes sleeping alone and staying with someone "makes her sleep better sometimes." Unfortunately, Freckles is relatively naive and gullible. She'll even easily forgive others for supposedly stealing no matter how much she's reprimanded for doing such. Doll/Freckles isn't a modest person in regards to her or other people's bodies.

Black Butler: Book of Circus, Wendy —Aesthetic

Wendy's Character & Personality

Wendy grew up starving and underdeveloped in the gutter. Because of this, she's trapped in a child's body. Thus, even though she seems to be one of the youngest circus members, Wendy is actually significantly older than those around her. Unfortunately, her and her act partner's ages are unknown. Wendy is a first-string member of the circus. She's a type of aerialist who specializes in her trapeze act alongside Peter. Wendy is soft-spoken, reserved and usually defers to her partner to do most of the talking. When she does speak, she behaves in a mature manner. Like the other first-string circus members, Wendy is quite concerned about completing the tasks set out to them by Baron Kelvin. She has no problems with kidnapping or murdering individuals while accomplishing these tasks. Wendy deeply cares about the other first-string circus members, perhaps more than Kelvin. Yet, she's most attached to Peter, as she's almost always with him.

Peter's Character & Personality

Peter grew up malnourished and underdeveloped in the gutter. Due to this, he's trapped in a child's body. For this reason, even though he seems to be one of the youngest circus members, Peter is actually significantly older than those around him. As such, he refers to most people as a "child" or "children." Peter is a first-string member of the Noah's Ark Circus. As a flying trapeze artist, he conducts his performances alongside Wendy. Together, the two are deemed as a duo "in perfect sync." Peter is short-tempered and unmannerly. He's prone to violence and often makes rude, sarcastic remarks. Peter has no qualms about killing others. In fact, he'll even strike or threaten other circus members. Despite this, Peter is capable of making quick decisions as someone who's perceptive and keen. He isn't fond of Snake. Peter also bares some ill will toward Doll, as he frequently belittles her for being too childish. However, he deeply cares about Wendy, as he's almost always by her side. Additionally, Peter respects Jumbo, as he listens to his advice.

The Noah's Ark Circus

The first-string members are regarded as the main cast of the Circus's sundry acts and performances. They’re given private, individual tents. Additionally, they aren't obliged to help with the preparations or have to fight for their meals, unlike the second-string members. These people include: Joker, Jumbo, Peter, Wendy, Dagger, Doll and Beast. Excluding Snake, they were all raised in East End Ally, the slums. Each member came together due to all being physically defected in some way, preventing them from ever being allowed to work.

Mally's Character & Personality

Beast was born to a scullery maid and left to fend for herself in the gutter after her mother's death. She was born without her left leg and later replaced it with a prosthetic as an adult. Beast is a first-string member of the Noah's Ark Circus. She specializes in animal taming. Her act is "Circus of Tiger," where she regularly performs with her tiger, Betty. Due to her grand performance, Beast is renowned as the star of the Circus. She's quite a domineering, aggressive and ill-tempered woman. When irritated, Beast is quick to lash out and resort to violence. While she has a close bond with the other first-string members, she loves their leader, even though she's fully aware he'll never return her affection. Unlike the other first-string members, Beast doesn't hold Kelvin in the same high regard. She's also willing to abandon the other children back at the Renbourn Workhouse.

Dagger's Character & Personality

Dagger is a young man who's somewhere in his twenties. As a child of the slums, he was born without his right leg and wears a prosthetic in its place. Dagger is a first-string member and acts as the juggler of the Noah's Ark Circus. He's regarded as a talented knife thrower who never misses his target. Dagger is a flamboyant, dramatic and energetic person who's almost constantly smiling. He has great love, bordering on obsession, for the woman he loves. Dagger always refers to her as "Sis" or "Big Sis." He's also willing to express his feelings for his crush, frequently serenading her or offering her gifts. When other males touch or look at her body, Dagger becomes quite upset. Amicable with goodwill, he enjoys the company of others and encourages people to make new friends. When Dagger doesn't understand what people are saying, he tends to assume they're joking. Seldom serious, he doesn't favor somber atmospheres and is quick to make jokes to disperse the tension.

Joker's Character & Personality

Joker is a twenty-five-year-old man who was born to a prostitute and abandoned on the streets as a child. He was born without his right arm. As an adult, Joker had it replaced by a skeleton arm prosthetic. He's a first-string member and the surrogate leader of the Noah's Ark Circus. Joker is tasked with managing the shows and performing as the pierrot ringmaster. At Baron Kelvin's manor, he acts as Kelvin's butler. Joker is a kind, easy-going and cheerful individual who strives for the mirth of others. Despite this outer appearance, he's quite serious about his duties and doesn't easily give in to emotions. Joker greatly cares for the other members of the circus. However, he puts pleasing Kelvin, no matter how abhorrent he finds his requests to be, above them. Joker complies with him because he believes he's protecting his brothers and sisters back at the Renbourn Workhouse by doing such.

Sally Face: Sal's Crimes —Aesthetic

Mass Murder at Addison Apartments

Upon entering the room of Terrence Addison, Sal learned the truth. Red Eyes had made an effort to infect the building before. He succeeded in possessing all the members of the Addison clan but was halted only by a young Terrence who was able to fight off his influence long enough to slaughter his family and prevent Red Eyes from spreading. The Endless One manifested inside Terrence and eventually overtook him. Since then, the alien had been pretending to be him for decades.

Using the Nercolight Guitar, Sal killed the Endless One and briefly met the real Terrence who gave him a dreadful mission: Kill all who were under Red Eyes' influence or the shadows will consume the planet. After great deliberation, Sal conceded and butchered every single resident of the apartment building, including his father. When the deed was done, he left the building to be arrested by the Nockfell Police Department.

Sally Face: Travis Phelps —Aesthetic

Travis Phelps' Character & Personality

Travis is the son of Kenneth, the preacher who owns Phelps Ministry, a local church in Nockfell. As a teenager, he's a typical bully who frequently tortures Sal and his friends. As such, Travis has no regards for how he treats other people. He'll often use homophobic language, foul language and throw insults at those he bullies. In reality, Travis is a scared and insecure child towards his own sexuality due to his zealot father. All his life, his father taught him feelings attracted to the same sex is abnormal and shameful. Being a closeted homosexual, this caused Travis to spout hateful comments towards others. He's afraid to be seen as a good child by individuals, seeing it as a sign of weakness like his father sees homosexuality as a weakness. Despite this, Travis is an emotional boy who prefers to write his feelings down on paper. He also enjoys Bologna Day. Although Travis has doubts about his religion and its conflicting messages regarding the morality of his sexuality, he's usually a religious kid who tries to encourage others to attend church.

Sally Face: Sal's Paranormal Investigator —Aesthetic

Cases & Investigations

Sal's first involves himself in a murder investigation. Months later, he decides to look into the various murders in the apartments with Todd. Not long after this, Sal and Larry actively start their paranormal investigations. These involve ghosts, a demon and a cult from around town. Later, the trio of boys involve Ash in their Bologna mystery and multiple children disappearances case. Over the years, the friends work together to solve various cases to unravel the mysteries leading to aliens invading their world.

Sally Face: Ashley Campbell —Aesthetic

Ashley Campbell's Character & Personality

Ashley is generally a calm and loyal punk tomboy. She's quite kind-hearted when helping others. Ash is also accepting of others regardless of their deformities. Yet, she's a skeptic. In addition to being the one girl amongst the main four, Ash is the only person in her group of friends who doesn't believe in ghosts. During bad situations, she attempts to be logical, optimistic and supportive of her friends. This remains the case even if it goes against her better judgment because Ash never attempts to stop her pals in their goals. She loves art and is the best artist in the group. In fact, Ash taught Larry everything he knows about art as his old friend. She loves painting, photography and making plush dolls she calls, "Little Dudes."

Sally Face: Sal Fisher's Trauma —Aesthetic

Sal's Childhood

On August 16th 1984, the Fisher family went on a picnic to a scenic and sunny location. There, little Sal finds a dog and is eager to pet it. After some prodding, his mother allows him to visit the animal. However, it's revealed the "dog" was actually a man wearing a dog mask wielding a shotgun. The man's identity is presumably Kenneth Phelps. His intent was to end Sal's life due to the prophecy foretelling a young boy would foil the Devourers of God's plans. Yet, he survived the encounter but at the cost of his mother's life. For the years to come, Sal would maintain his mother was killed by a man, not a wild animal, even if his psychiatrist and father didn't believe him. After a fateful visit to the hospital, he had to adapt to a new life with his prosthetic face. At some point, Sal's physiatrist gifted him a cat to help him cope with the trauma he's endured. Eventually, he internalized the nickname bullies would later give him: Sally Face.

Agere Hazbin Hotel: Lucifer Morningstar —Aesthetic

Lucifer as a Baby

Even though this is unlikely, it's fun to imagine what Lucifer's life would be like as a baby or child. The King has an obsession with rubber ducks and would probably have a vast collection of them. In addition, Lucifer would often listen to music while sitting in circus tents and playing with plushy ducklings or toy instruments. He would be his "Father's" duckling.

Male Yandere —Aesthetic

Yandere Definition

Yandere is a portmanteau of two Japanese words. The first is yanderu, which means “to be sick,” and the second is deredere, used here for “lovestruck.” A yandere is often sweet, caring and innocent before switching into someone who has extreme, often violent or psychotic devotion to a love interest.
