sometimes it doesn't matter the state of the world, or how shitty and unsupportive society is to you if you know you're loved and accepted by your parents. Because they're the most important people in a child's life, it doesn't matter what the world says, because a child only wants to hear that their parents love them and accept them. But it won't matter how much society accepts and cheer them on if their parents, the one who was supposed to love them no matter what, won't love or accept them for being true to themselves, and being who they are.
