Two days later, Y/N walked back into the Avengers compound. It felt as if she had never left, but at the same time as if it had been months. Thankfully, she hadn’t had the disturbing dream about Thor again, which made the idea of going through the psych eval that Fury would insist on less daunting. She still ached every time she thought of her lost love, but the idea of throwing herself into her work was a welcome distraction.

“Y/N, you’re back.” Wanda greeted, and Y/N returned the hug her best friend gave her.

“I couldn’t stay in that apartment any longer.”
