Honestly even if the accusation does prove to be false the fact of the matter is he still lied about his company and solo activities, his statement was highly insensitive, and he still hurt stray kids at least emotionally. Like even if he didn't do those things and chose to leave himself he did so knowing it would hurt them. They were his friends and he made a promise to them and to break that because you suddenly decide you dont want to do it anymore? Thats not ok, you talk to them about it and come to a mutual understanding and the way stray kids acted it was not mutual they were hurt. There's also the chance he didn't leave he was kicked out, although there's no concrete proof theres alot of kstays saying he was seen and got caught going to prostitution bars which if you dont know is illegal if you work at JYP. So even if the accusations are false, if he really was going to these places,( or even doing something else that was forbidden in his contract) knowing it was stated he was not allowed to do so, knowing that he could be fired if he did, knowing it could harm your group, to continue to those things despite that makes you an awful person(and a bad friend and teammate at that). So like yeah the accusations may not be true but that doesn't change the fact he was still lying, he was still being insensitve, and he still hurt his team.

@mondenknd i get what youre saying but at the same time when you make a promise with others (in this case the group) its no longer just about you and yourself, you have to take in account everyone's feelings and (at least to me) to promise that youre gonna be there no matter what and then to not do that and go do your own thing knowing its going to hurt others, especially those who thought you were their friend i just dont agree with that nor do i think its ok. If youre going to do something be genuine about it and truthful from the beginning or dont do it at all because once you agree to something with someone else its no longer just about you, you have to take into account everyone's feelings and how this action is going affect those around you. And as i said this is just speculation but they all seem to say he never wanted to be in a group he just wanted to debut and thought this was his chance which for me is also wrong like how can you use others to get yourself out there and then just leave them behind? How can you tell your "friends" yeah we'll always be together and then just be like "sike im going solo bye!" Like thats just so inconsiderate. If you didn't want to be in a group you shouldn't have joined in the first place and gave everyone false hope you know? I guess i just believe if you make promise you need to keep it and you especially need to be aware of how your actions and words(in this case broken promises) will affect those around you because once you deal with other people its no longer just about you. Like basically just be a decent human being and care about the others around you
But again this is just speculation and there's no real proof so please dont take it too seriously 😅
Something I've found interesting
Disclaimer:None of what I'm about to talk about is a proven fact and is literally just me speculating because I spend too much time on the internet😅
Ok so as I stated before I spend way too much time on the internet and I'm very nosy so I discovered people doing readings specifically readings on stray kids And why Woojin left. Now I'm still quite sceptical and again none of this is a fact or anything but what I find so interesting is all of these people are pretty much saying the same thing. What I'm finding based on these readings is that he left because he simply didn't want to be apart of stray kids anymore. That he never really wanted to be in a band in the first place he just thought it was a good opportunity to show his talents and as he was in there he was just not into it and just didn't like the direction it was going and could no longer agree with members so he distanced himself and started doing things that weren't the best which caused his departure. Now obviously there's some plot holes and such but for all these different people to being saying the same thing it really got me thinking that maybe it's not totally far fetched. Especially considering that even in these readings they even pick up on Chan's emotions and how he's very resentful towards him and does feel betrayed and honestly(again based on readings none of this is facts) I can't blame him. Like imagine creating a band with your best friends and promising to do it together to be there for each other no matter what and then all of sudden having that same friend be like yeah I lied I didn't really want to be in a group in the first place and I don't like what we're doing currently so imma head out. Like that's gotta hurt and especially with being the leader all that pressure of keeping everyone together only to realize that was never the case, to realize this friend, this person, isnt at all who you thought they were, someone who promised you everything just up and leaving, and then to just go solo? to not even care that he left a whole group behind? Like of course you'd feel betrayed it's like we promised to do this together and now you just wanna go solo? Leave us behind? And them basically being like yep here's my new company good luck bye! Like that's clearly messed up especially when youre you're a strong believer in keeping your word and caring about other people(also the fact that woojin actually came up with nine or none and being the one to break it is so ironic [and kinda like a slap in the face like it's gotta hurt]) But again none of this confirmed it is just speculation from being on the web too long so please dont take it too seriously I just wanted to get my thoughts out there. I just thought it was crazy how all these different sources were coming up with same conclusions you know?But again none of this is a proven fact if anything this just proves I need to start sleeping at 3am instead of web searching 😅😭

Ok so it seems everyones saying Zuko only turned good because of Iroh and that's not true? Like don't get me wrong he was an influence to an extent but even then we saw how throughout the entire series even when uncle iroh would tell him he shouldn't do something or try to get him to leave zuko still didn't listen, he still did things his own way, he still made his own choices, if Iroh had of influenced him the way everyone's making it out to be he would've never betrayed him in ba sing se, and most likely wouldn't of made the choices he did in the first 2 seasons. Iroh was helpful but not the cause of Zuko's goodness. We've seen from flashbacks how he's always been more caring and compassionate towards others, he always made good choices and the only reason he stopped was because his father burned half of his face when he was 13 for caring about the soldiers, like of course that's gonna traumatize you into thinking being kind is weak, but he learned that's not case not because of Iroh but because he's always had a moral compass and when he was accepted back and began acting like how his father wanted he felt wrong Iroh wasn't with him when he felt that, that was his own feelings and he made his own choice to leave because as he said "I was the perfect Prince but I wasnt me" So yeah you can say Iroh had some influence on him but he was not the sole reason zuko turned good. Zuko's always been good he just lost his way because he wanted his fathers love and again once he got it he still realized on his own that his fathers love wasnt worth losing himself. Because no matter how many influences you may have at the end of the day you still make your own choices and thats exactly what Zuko did.

Again I agree with your points they should be more culturally aware we all need to be so we can understand each other to avoid these situations and misunderstandings in the future. Secondly yes the action may be perceived as racist and it should definitely be called out but I don't think that makes it's ok to call the person or group a racist because of it especially if it was a one time thing or if it was in the past and already dealt with. And I'm not grouping genuine concerns with Antis I'm sorry if that's how it came across I made the statement because the people I did see "calling them out" were being rude and hateful which again seemed like they were just mad their fave made a mistake and not concerned with what the mistake actually was.

@cherry-lola-babe
I never meant for it to come off as an excuse but as an explanation, secondly being an adult doesnt automatically means you know everything and even if the action is perceived as racist, if it was not intentional and stemmed from ignorance I dont think we should be labeling that person or group as racist based on one mistake. I actually quite agree with your second point a lot of scandals could've been avoided ( and honestly not just in the kpop industry but industries as whole) if they were to educate themselves and learn how things affect different people and cultures but the problem seems to be the companies want to make double the money by seeking international attention but forget about cultural differences which leads to these misunderstandings and offenses (but I also think this could go both ways because international fans don't seem to know much about korean culture either) And I'm not saying you can't call out idols when they do something that offends you I'm saying there's a difference between speaking out and spreading hate. From what I've seen yes you have genuine fans speaking out and explaining the situation and being respectful and that's great but I've also seen a lot (if not more) people using it as an excuse to spread harmful messages, that's why I made the original post because the people "calling them out" weren't actually doing that, they were saying awful things, trending hashtags, and sending malicious comments, they werent showing any signs they actually cared about the problem, but were more upset their fav made a mistake rather than the actual mistake.
So yeah there definitely needs to be more cultural awareness(from both the industry and the fans) and of course we expect people to not to be offensive (I think that's why it always effects people so deeply you dont expect it and when it does happens it's like a reality check) but with a foreign industry coming into another foreign industry there's bound to be offensives taken somewhere and again awareness would definitely help but kpop just recently became an international thing so to change something so rooted is going to take time and again there's nothing wrong with speaking up or criticizing it's when you use that as an excuse to spread hate and harmful messages is the problem which again was what I was seeing and why I made the statement I did, it was directed towards the people who were appearing to be more upset at that fact their fave messed up rather than what they actually did
#again really hope this isnt coming across as disrespectful or anything#thanks for having an actual discussion with me tho and not an argument!

@cherry-lola-babe
Yes but again theres a difference between being a racist and being uninformed. If you know the significance of something and still choose to do that thing then yes it is racism and should be called out as such but if you don't know the importance of something I dont think it's right to label them as such, it stems from ignorance and the only way to stop that is to inform people not blatantly hate on them. I'm sorry if it seems like tone policing that's not my intention, as I stated you can feel how you like, you can feel offended, you can feel sad, you can feel angry, but it's how you deal with those feelings, it's when you begin fuel those feelings in a negative way that becomes a problem. Again you're entitled to your feelings but when those feelings starts negatively impacting others, when you let it consume you and you're sending hate messages,death threats, that's when it's not okay and takes away from the actual issue. Again I'm not saying you can't speak up about it but if you're constantly mentioning a mistake they did in the past especially when they've already spoken about it how is that helping anything? Isn't the whole point of speaking out to bring awareness and help people learn? How is that suppose to happen if you stay stuck in the past? How are things suppose to change if people constantly bring up past issues that have already been dealt with? Which again makes me think fans don't really care about the actual problem. It's a common occurrence because they are uninformed, kpop is korean pop, they focus mainly on korean audience, with korean cultural aspects, and while it has blown up internationally and they're expanding their audience just like we dont know everything about korean culture they're not going to know everything about American or African culture or any culture, not even most international fans know much about other cultures so why should we expect idols to? You say if they know fandom jokes they should know global sensitivity but there is a huge difference between looking up memes and jokes about your group or learning the latest dance trends and looking up serious issues, kpop is made for entertainment, they're just people who make music and do variety because that's their job, and as with any job there's rules to follow and bosses you have to listen to, so even if they do see these things they can't just do or say whatever they want they have to abide by their contract and their company which in most cases force them to be silent about it so it doesn't always mean they don't care it means they're not legally allowed to mention anything. You used an example of someone being rude/offensive and yes, if someone was being like that i would explain why it was wrong or why I felt that way because that's how people learn, by explaining, not by throwing out hateful comments and if they refused to listen or learn or if it was something really bad then I remove myself from the situation, the same thing can apply to idols, no one is forcing you to continue to listen to them. If they do something you don't like you have every right to walk away, you don't have to continue to support them, the problem comes when you use that as an excuse to throw hate or send malicious messages which is what I'm seeing alot of people doing and that doesn't make sense to me. If you know you're never going to forgive them why keep mentioning them? Why not just unstan and move on? Which again begs the question do you really care about the problem? And if so how is sending hate going to solve that? And again I never said you couldn't be offended or hurt but when you use that as an excuse to send hateful messages it takes away from the actual problem.

@cherry-lola-babe Ok so I really am trying to have a discussion I swear I'm not trying to be rude or anything because that's not my intention!
I'm not going to deny that kpop can have racist undertones sometimes and I'm completely for speaking up about it in a respectful way because that's how people actually learn from their mistakes but the problem im seeing is how people are handling it. Like if your offended by something then that's fine, you can feel however you want, but shouldn't you make sure you have all the information before forming an opinion? To make sure it's not a misunderstanding or cultural difference?(jumping to conclusions seems to be a big part of the problem as well) And if you do actually want your favs to learn or care about the actual issues why not just go to the source? Why spam social media or send malicious comments? Why trend an entire hashtag? Why not just email and wait for a response? And when they do issue a response why do people still drag it out? Like no ones forcing you to accept it or to still stan them, if it really upset you that much why not just take a break and move on? That's what I'm seeing problems with if you actually cared about the issue why are you still dragging them? They gave their response, it's been dealt with(maybe not in the way you wanted but at least it was acknowledged) why keep bringing it up? What does constantly bashing for a past mistake actually help with? Are you really trying to spread awareness or are you just upset they broke "my idol can never do anything wrong" image you've created? Which is also a big problem I'm seeing. Putting idols on such high pedestals that even when they do a little mistake they're crucified for it. They're human, just like us, we make mistakes all the time why shouldn't they be allowed to do the same? And yes that includes being insensitive. Insensitivity is different for everyone what offends you won't offend others and vice versa, that's just how humans and feelings work. We've all done something that we later found to be insensitive or offensive to someone and we apologize for it and try to be better so why not do the same for these idols? Why do we continue to put such high standards on these people? They are humans, they are going to make mistakes, yes that includes being offensive, it's not on purpose but it is a reality because again they're just people, you're going to offend someone at some point that's just life, that's how people and feelings are, the problem comes with how people handle it. Whoever was offended has every right ro feel that way, they're your feelings nobody can change that, but instead of fueling that negative energy explain why it was offensive, and how to avoid it in the future and the one who did the offending acknowledge what happened, apologize and learn from it, that's what happens in real life so why can't it happen between idols and fans? Which is why it begs the question are you really trying to bring awareness because you care about the actual problem or are you upset you fav didn't live up to what you imagined them to be? Secondly I see the word racist floating around a lot which doesnt make much sense to me? Like being racist is literally thinking that your race is better than others and mocking and treating people differently because of it and half the time that's not what happens? These idols (usually) never once implied they think they're better or that someone is inferior to them, in fact a lot of them advocate for equality, the main thing I see the being called out for is cultural appropriation "braids" being the big problem and I can see why it would be offensive as it does have cultural significance but I don't see how it correlates to racism? From those I have seen they don't mock anyone, they don't try to pretend to be someone of color, they simply wear it because they like the style they think it's cool which ignorant yes but ignorance is not racism and I don't see why people use those words interchangeabley?
So again I'm not saying you can't call them out or be offended but the way people have been handling it seems like they care more about how their fave made a mistake rather than the actual mistake.
#again really hope i didnt come off as rude or anything#this is just something I've noticed which i guess is why its an unpopular opinion lol#kpop

Unpopular Opinion: Stans don't care about actual issues and are actually just upset their favs didn't live up to their impossible expectations
Now look I'm sure some of you actually do care, and want to educate them properly and that's great! Keep it up (so long as it's respectful) however I've noticed that those are not the majority. I say this because a lot of times stans will praise their idols, their favs, have nothing but love in their posts and then as soon as they do something wrong(no matter how big or insignificant) they're "disappointed", "unstanning", throwing hate, sending malicious comments and it's like why? Like I'm not saying you can't feel upset or unstan you can feel however you want but how can you change your tune so quickly? How can you go from loving and praising your fav to bashing and hating in the same breath? Is it really because you care about the actual problem or is it because they didn't meet your expectations of them? Let's face it kpop puts out a lot of content and a lot of fan service and it's not hard at all to insert ourselves in their world, to develop an emotional connection with them, to feel like we really know them. We put them on this pedestal, we develop in our minds who we think they are, how we think they would/should act, what we think they would or should do and when they do something that contradicts that, it's a reality check, because the reality is: we dont know them. They're not this amazing "god" like friend who can never do anything wrong that we've imagined in our minds, they're a human being who just like us are going to make mistakes in their lifetime. For whatever reasons fans seem to hold these celebrities to outrageous standards and they forget they're just doing their jobs. Whether we like it or not being an idol is a job, and just like any job there are rules to follow and roles they have to play, We tend to forget we only see what they want us to see, we forget our interpretation of them is only what we see on screen, we forget that They are just human. They are going to make mistakes. We as humans make mistakes everyday and we don't get harassed for it so why should they? Because they're in the public more often? That's not an excuse and it's not ok because if fans actually cared they'd go to the root of the problem, they'd message the company not spam their social media, they'd explain the situation not throw hate, they'd actually research what happened before jumping to conclusions, they wouldn't trend hate hashtags, they wouldn't send malicious messages, and they wouldn't ever send death threats, and its because of things like that I don't believe you're upset about the actual problem, you're upset because they did something that contradicts how you imagined them. Again I'm not saying you can't be upset, that you can't unstan, but before you make that conclusion, before you trend that hashtag, before you send that message, are you really doing it because you care about the problem? Because you actually want them to learn? Or are you doing it because you're upset they didn't live up to what you imagined them to be?

1) Again I'm not sure about that one as I stated from what I found it was supposed to be an ajumma character which is a stereotypical middle aged korean woman with permed hair(the wig) who is known for talking alot(the big lips) but I can defintely see how it can come across wrongly to an international audience
2) You're absolutely right there's plenty of toxic people in general and to try to force people to feel a certain way is wrong, you have the right to feel however you like, I only made this post because I saw alot of people just jumping to conclusions and spreading misinfo and hate based on an out of context video. Like yeah it was not smartest idea but based on context we at least know it wasnt his intention to do blackface but i do agree it needs to be adressed and explained officially which is why I encourage anyone who still feels unsettled to contact JYP directly instead of spreading hate and misinfo

Context is important
Ok so for those of you who dont know Hyunjin has been accused of black face, which if taken out of context you could see why people would think that and mnet using it as the thumbnail was a bad call, period. They know they're international fans are the majority so they really should've thought twice how this looks out of context. So what is the Context? If you watch the actual video you will see they we're playing a game where they had to dress up and try to make each other laugh. They do this by wearing various costumes and acting funny. Hyunjin came out wearing a permed wig and big red lips which can be concerning for international fans at first glance but if you read the caption it states "Hyunjin has turned into Hong-Dukke's wife" So who's Hong-Dukke? He is a character from a popular 80s cartoon in Korea and his wife is Go-eunae who is suppose to be a stereotypical ajumma aka middle aged korean woman who is best known to have permed hair and gossip which is where the big lips come in, it is not representing a person of color, but it is to represent someone who talks alot or a gossiper which she is known for in the show. Now I can't tell you how to feel or what to do but what I and we as people can do is research and pay attention to context before jumping to conclusions and making accusations. If you still feel unsettled by it then fine you have the right to feel however you want, I'm not saying that, what I am saying is just do research and understand context and intentions before making accusation posts and posting out of context clips. So no his intention was not black face it was a stereotypical ajumma character which if we watch the video we can find out by reading the caption. Now how you feel about it after reading this is completely up to you, I can't tell you how to feel or what to do, this is just to provide context, but if it truly does still bother you instead of sending hate and misinformation send a message to JYP, explain how it looks to international fans, spreading things on social media will really only inform other people and fandoms, if you really want something done you have to go the source. Now if you're not offended that's fine too but don't talk over the ones who are, give them the context, give them the info and let them make their own decisions. We can't force anyone to feel a certain way, all we can do is provide the correct information. So I hope this gave you guys some context so please stop spreading misinformation and if you're truly concerned message JYP and explain the situation

I still dont think so because again we've seen that he can make good decisions and it was never his goal to hurt others like yeah he wasnt the greatest but when he did capture Aang at the water tribe he never bothered them again. He got what he came for and left, almost any other fire nation soldier would have destroyed it point blank whether they got what they wanted or not, same with Kiyoshi it wasn't his intention to burn it down he was just so focused on capturing the avatar that it just happened(not that it excuses it tho) whereas again any other fire nation soldier would have most likely done so on purpose. Like I'm not saying he would've changed immediately, Iroh definitely had influences on him I'm not denying that I'm just saying we've seen how in the past Zuko has contemplated things, he second guesses himself, he's shown he's capable of empathy and concern that eventually his moral compass would overpower his need for acceptance. It would of course take longer since he wouldn't constantly have that good influence but at the end of the day he was still his own person with his own values, he just suppressed them because he wanted his father's love, but again we saw that even once he had that his inner self still wasn't satisfied because deep down he knew the fire nation was still in the wrong. So yeah Iroh did influence him but even without him Zuko still had good morals inside of him it just would've taken a bit longer to come out
Quick question!
So Avatar: The Last Airbender was my favorite show as a kid (and still is tbh😅) and now that it's on netflix I've totally been bingeing it and I've noticed alot of people are saying Azula should have a redemption arc because she showed "redeeming qualities" but I don't recall her doing anything redeemable? So if anyone could tell me why I'd appreciate it!
