Varré x war surgeon reader

Warnings: non canon compliant, cults, possibly OOC, spoilers for DLC and Mohg lore, short, GN! Reader, light stalking, implied neurodivergent Varré, not proof read

A/N: the description on the war surgeon gown states “Of the surgeons that were abducted by the Lord of Blood none were able to tame the accursed blood. None but Varré, that is; though he was an exception." So umm… just pretend this doesn’t exist. I didn’t really think this concept out that well before writing this, and I remembered this information in the middle of writing. So sorry!

🩸Varré is a very difficult person to get close to. If he were to ever get close to someone, or god forbid actually trust them, they would need to be a colleague.

🩸Since you are a war surgeon, you most likely knew Varré before and during the Shattering war and then joined Mohgwyn dynasty while Mohg was under Miquella’s charm.

🩸You know the feeling of always being watched? That’s what it’s like being with Varré. He watches you any moment of the day where he isn’t busy, which isn’t often.

🩸The schedule he follows is almost nonexistent, so there isn’t any pattern to when he is watching your versus when he’s not. You’re always expecting to find him at any turn, but you never do.

🩸He finds no purpose in hiding that he watches you. Watching you, according to him, is just a means to make sure you are doing your job and not lazing around doing nothing.

🩸Being colleagues with Varré does affect your relationship slightly. Professionalism is important to Varré, so he refrains from giving any type of affection while on the job and he expects the same from you.

🩸When the work day is over, he is more than happy to be with you, as long as it’s behind closed doors. He himself is not physically affectionate, but he usually allows you to be if you wish.

🩸Parallel play (I wish there was a better term) is the only form of interaction he engages in while he’s in professional mode. He enjoys your presence, but he doesn’t want to outwardly interact with you.

🩸that makes him sound like such an ass, but he believes that being willing to spend his “precious time” around you is an honor that you should be grateful for.
