As mentioned on the KarmaPop Instagram, illustrator Precious Blake is the KarmaPop #WomanCrush this Wednesday. Super honored to be featured in her book Creatives of Color. Stop by the MICA Art Walk this weekend to purchase a copy! - Krystal

A total redesign/color change for Krystal Mack. I was digging the green before, but there needed to be some more variety in color to show her personality.

Many may or may not be familiar with the Baltimore tradition of Arabbers. This @Eater article shares a day in the life Arabber "BJ" Bilal Yussef Abdullah. A great read and lesson in an integral part of Baltimore food culture.

As some of you may have heard if you tuned into the Startup Soirée podcast, the tricycle will be taking a break from KarmaPop this season. It may pop out here and there but for the most part the trike will not be out and about. As beloved as it has become, it also became somewhat of a distraction to the mission of KarmaPop. KarmaPop is more than a tricycle based dessert business. It's the farms, farmers, volunteers, supporters, and conversations that make this ice pops business different from your average ice cream shop. I want us to get back to the conversations of seasonality and sustainability. I look forward to meeting you all at the farmers market this year and having those talks! -Krystal

Not only does Karma Farm grow herbs, tomatoes, greens and potatoes....they also have mushrooms! Wine Cap and Shitake to be exact. These beautiful Wine Cap mushrooms are similar to Portobellos in flavor and texture.

Pollock-style chocolate splatters on the Holy Roller pop. Holy Roller blends locally sourced Holy Basil and Chocolate Mint from Boone Street Farm. A delicious and refreshing flavor profile similar to a Mint Chip frozen treat but with the fruity floral notes from Holy Basil.

Welcome to the official Tumblr for KarmaPop. KarmaPop is a frozen dessert company hoping to bring the conversation about produce seasonality and food justice to the forefront. Our desserts are created around Mid-Atlantic crop seasonality. This mindful approach aims to educate the community on the nutritional and economic importance of eat local foods that are in season. We also source the majority of our produce from farms in Baltimore City. Most of the urban farms we partner with are located in neighborhoods that suffer from poor food access with only a few convenience stores and carry out restaurants as a source of sustenance. Our goal in partnering with these farms is to provide continued support for the work that they do in their respective communities. Whether it is through a CSA program, internships, after school programs, or simply providing a safe green space we know how vital their efforts are in the communities in which they are based. Follow our tumblr to see what inspires our menu and mission.
