EXTRA bittersweet photo for me... The day Barack Obama came to Omaha, Nebraska. January 2016, he was still in office. I shot masses of photos! The crowds in Massive lines all around the arena... The bomb dogs checking every vehicle and other structures... Everyone filling the arena... Police, sheriffs, and Secret Service everywhere... Obama walking out like a WWE Superstar... A zoomed in picture of him looking directly at me... Everything from top to bottom! I had 3 edits in mind. I got through the first initial edits, and then... My memory source got stolen! So, out of the 1000+ photos... I only have 40 something lightly edited pictures of the whole event. But, this close up photo that I happened to walk all the way across the arena floor to get when I seen he was about to start wrapping up his speech is enough to make me feel somewhat satisfied!

Shooting a 12 spotted skimmer... It was minding it's own business, singing on the car antenna, and didn't seem to mind my presence. Such a beautiful sight, with such beautiful features! One of a handful of spectacular dragonflies I've had the honor of capturing.

This 6 photo collage is filed in my "Instant Omaha History" folder. An artist put a controversial, historically violence inciting term on a building window in the most "urban" area of the city, and there were STRONG mixed emotions about it. Some heavy hitters, protesters, the artist, and even the news was down there. No one budged. Eventually, part of the display was vandalized. In a nutshell...

One of my most recognizable photographs...

A BEAUTIFUL Prairifire Crabapple Tree standing proud in Fontenelle Park. This shot was taken in 2015 before a big renovation. I believe the tree survived the reconstruction, and is still standing. I'll be sure to drive by next Spring and check for it.
