In this house, we sleep with stuffed animals. If you don’t have one, the law of the land will supply you with one until your stay is complete.

Hey, guys! Living in such a small town, I LOVE doing things like this for my kids’ schools. Thankfully our Dirt Cheap does deals like this frequently, but it can still get expensive!!
I’d really like to do something like this again, but with stockings or ornaments and for BOTH schools, which would total about 600 students! I’m also trying to raise money for the Christmas shop, for the students who aren’t able to buy anything or come in with a very little budget.
It would mean the WORLD to me, the kids, and the students at the schools if we could get donations towards these goals!!!💖
We have just about every cash app there is 😂
PayPal
CashApp: $lexieeWABO
Venmo
We also have a wishlist of supply items for the schools! Markers, pencil cases, baby wipes, etc.
It’s so upsetting that teachers need this much help, but so long as they need help I’m going to try and give it every chance I’m able!

My Dirt Cheap adventures today lead to me buying 300 (yes, THREE HUNDRED) trick-or-great buckets and I spent a grand total of (wait for it)........... EIGHT DOLLARS!!!
I was originally going to grab buckets for 5 classrooms (myself, my sister, her friend) needing only like 100 buckets total, I originally grabbed like 120 for safe measure. Then I got to thinking....
Aiden’s school is small, they teach ONLY pre-k and kindergarten and have not even 120 students. This is my 3rd year with them and they try so hard to do fun things for the kids, but often turn outs aren’t great or they can’t do things at all because of not enough volunteer participation (they’ve even canceled events bc of it 😕) and they’ll be doing a big fall event during school on Halloween day for the kids. Trick-or-treat buckets would be PERFECT for them, its literally nothing but 4 and 5 year olds.😂🖤
So, here I am, with 299 trick-or-treat buckets (I overlooked some broken ones, but that’s why you always buy extra!) for my 5 year old’s entire school (and then some) and what sounded like really excited office staff.😂
I’d also like to do a shout out to the lady patiently waiting in line behind me, as we counted out my 1st trip of buckets. I forgot my wallet in the car and she paid for 140 of these buckets!! I can guarantee a whole horde of small children thank you!!🖤🖤🖤🖤
(They’re doing daily Halloween deals on dollar store Halloween items. Thursdays are 20/$1, which is how I got so many!)

Thats how many Halloween, chocolate covered pretzels I made for my husband and his colleagues.
There’s not even 12 of them in the whole department. 😂

Made L an eyeball headband for Halloween! It needs to be cleaned up a bit, but I’d say it came out rather well. She loves it and said everyone in school did, too!

Even local, volunteer-based sports are expensive af
Almost, if not more than $200 for a single season of basketball.
Christ. No wonder jocks in school always came from the privileged families.

Designed and soon will begin making a game for my niece’s jewelers-themed birthday party!
It’s a Pin The Tail On The Donkey-style game, the kids will have medium sized jewel-shaped place markers and the targeted area is the jewel on the ring!
The game itself will be made out of a foam poster board. The ring will be painted gold and outlined with gold glitter. The jewel will be painted pink and outlined with pink glitter (the birthday girl’s favorite color). The middle is going to be left white, letters will be done in blue paint-marker, “bling” and the “!” will be glitter, the dot on both the “i” and “!” will be a gem.
The place markers are being cut out from foam sheets, outlined with matching or silver glitter, and their names will be written in gold sharpie on the front.
And the beautiful part is all of the needed supplies I already have or can get from Dollar Tree!
I’m so excited to make the game! I have a sketch book I’m slowly filling with party game children-related furniture. I love when I get to execute them! (I have a sketch for a LEGO vanity, but that’s another post)

Did a trial run of baked donuts tonight with some from-scratch pumpkin spice donuts with a maple syrup-cinnamon glaze!
They came out a bit dense, but I’m lacking in small measuring instruments, so I had to eyeball anything below a tablespoon. That aside, they taste pretty good! Trying out a from-scratch chocolate recipe tomorrow and boxed cake mix recipe at some point after that. I cannot wait!
Sending these to the hair salon my sister works at. Fingers crossed that everyone else likes them, too! 🤞🤞🤞🤞

If it’s a routine, consistent thing, or an extended period of time some form of compensation DOES need to be made. Provide or give money for the food they eat, money towards activities, etc. At that point they’re technically being your personal daycare, not just babysitting.
Those of you with children, how do yall feel about this?
