IC: “`Basics.”` **Name:** Shenhe **Alias:** Divine Damsel of Devastation  **Age:** 23-27 **Pronouns:** She/Her “`Physical description.”` **Height:** 5'8'' **Hair:** Silvery-white fading to black at the end tied in a long braid **Eyes:** Purple fading to an opal color, her right eye is mostly covered by her hair **Build:** Tall and slender with an hourglass figure **Skin:** Fair **Scars:** N/A **Piercings:** She has earrings resembling a red cloverleaf with a tassel **Tattoos:** N/A **Clothing/Equipment:**  Her outfit consists of a black backless bodysuit and high heels. The bodysuit extends to her hands, covering her middle fingers with a gold stud on each of the knuckles. At the back of her bodysuit is an article bearing resemblance to coattails, consisting of white fabric patterned with gray. She wears a cropped white-and-gray sleeveless qipao on top. We can see two red ropes tied around her shoulders going all the way to her back and other accessories resembling red cloverleaves and red tassels. Additionally, she has a white-and-black curved headpiece with a golden accessory that may resemble a flower. She's quite skilled with her polearm. **Extras:** Her Cryo Vision is on the red bow that ties her braid and she's an adept exorcist, being able to summon some kind of spirit resembling her appearance “`Personality.”` **Personality description:** Due to the red ropes binding her homicidal urges and thus, her soul, Shenhe has become a cold and distant woman, indifferent to people. Her stoic attitude is one of the reasons why people mistake her for an adeptus. Having lived most of her life isolated in the mountains, she is unfamiliar with the human world and their society, not understanding their customs or simple day-to-day life, needing someone to explain it to her. She has also come to dislike crowded places or too much social interaction. Despite her homicidal nature being restrained, Shenhe will resort to violent and threatening ends if she feels she's being bothered, even if it's a stranger with no hostile means. **Likes:** Quiet places, meditating, bowl of noodles from her childhood **Dislikes:** Crowded places, socializing, annoying people, bitter medicinal herbs (though obligated to eat them), being called an adeptus despite being human **Skills:** Apart from having great Cryo skills that may wipe out a group of enemies, she's very skillful with her polearm and has superior exorcist powers, being able to summon a spirit to expel demons **Occupation, if any:** N/A, though she's Cloud Retainer's disciple “`Headcanons.”` [Three to five min. Add more if necessary ! Be creative !!] 1. It was a shocking (yet pleasant) surprise when Shenhe found out she was Chongyun's aunt. She couldn't believe that she still had relatives, her own blood, living in this world. Because of this, Shenhe has sworn that she wouldn't lose the only family she had left and protect Chongyun should anything happen to him, she's a quite protective aunt (especially when she sees him with Xingqiu, there's just something about that boy that she doesn't completely trust). She also meets up with Chongyun in the mountains and trains him to become a better exorcist and a better Cryo user. 2. After Yun Jin's performance "Divine Damsel of Devastation", Shenhe has found herself attending more of her plays. She finds nothing better to do in the busy city of Liyue Harbor that doesn't annoy her and finds the opera entertaining since she doesn't have to interact with anyone. She makes sure to sit in a not-so-crowded place, trying not to get the attention of anyone. 3. Shenhe would like to get to know Ganyu more since they were both raised by Cloud Retainer and relate in some things (like Cloud Retainer's hobby of telling... quite embarrassing stories). They have met a few times during the Lantern Rite and Shenhe enjoyed Ganyu's company, perhaps she can ask information about how to adapt to human society. 4. Though she's always referred to Cloud Retainer as "master" and Shenhe addresses herself as an adepti disciple, deep down, the adepti that took
her in and taught her all she knows could be considered her parental figures, especially Cloud Retainer. Shenhe will always be grateful for being saved from the evil spirit by her. 5. Sometimes, Shenhe will have nightmares reliving her darkest memories when her father abandoned her in that cave to sacrifice her soul and be killed by the malicious spirit, fighting for days. **Backstory:** (Can be just a brief description) Shenhe used to live a happy childhood until everything crumbled when her mother passed away, driving her father to some kind of obsession to bring her back to life to the point that he'd sacrifice little Shenhe's life in exchange for his late wife. He summoned a dark "seelie" and left Shenhe in a cave alone with it. The girl fought for her life non-stop until Cloud Retainer found them and saved Shenhe, taking her in. Finding out her homicidal nature and the tragic fate that would come with it, the adepti bound her with red ropes to restrain those urges, and her soul with them, turning indifferent. Then, Cloud Retainer offered her a comb of white jade as proof to sever her ties from the mortal world and accept Shenhe as an apprentice should she wish to, and she did, resulting in her hair (except the tip) turning from black to white. Since then, Shenhe has lived among the adepti, alone in the mountains. Little did she know what the future would bring when she'd come into contact with human society and meet a certain Traveler..

IC: “`Basics.”` **Name:** Eula Lawrence **Alias:** Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company, The Spindrift Knight, Ice Queen **Age:** 26 **Pronouns:** She/Her, They/Them “`Physical description.”` **Height:** 185cm (6'1") **Hair:** Eula's hair is a minty-blue color, cropped short, with the left side being longer and slung over her shoulder ever so slightly. It is straight and silky, with a light shine and gentle curls near the ends. Her bangs are cut straight across, but not bluntly, and not long enough to be in her eyes. She keeps the longest part of her bangs held back with a headband, which causes part of them to frame her face. **Eyes:** Eula's eyes are expected to be a piercing, sharp look, considering her reputation. However, they are actually quite round and kind, although the thick lashes that frame her eyes add to her intensity. Her eyes are unique in color, being a soft, mauve-purple in some light, but in direct light being a golden yellow. **Build:** Eula is tall, taller than most women, and even some men. She's always been an outcast in multiple ways, and this does not help her situation. She's slender, but strong. Her body is toned just enough that you know that you shouldn't challenge her to a duel. **Skin:** Eula's skin is light and clear. So much so that you can tell she puts a great deal of effort into keeping it that way. And if you could touch it, it looks like it would be ever so soft... but surely you would lose a hand for doing so. **Scars:** Eula may have one or two faded scars on her legs or arms, but nothing of note. Simply old battle scars. **Piercings:** Eula has both of her ears pierced, but tends to only wear small pearl studs. **Tattoos:** On her right hip, Eula has a tattoo of the Lawrence Clan crest, given to her when she was 16. **Clothing/Equipment:** Eula dons a black leotard with white accents and sleeves. Shoulder cutouts are adorned with blue ribbons, and the flower-like cut bell sleeves are decorated with blue fabric. A tie in matching blue fabric is adorned with her Glacial Seal crest. The middle of the leotard, as well as some hip cut outs, are a sheer mesh- exposing part of her chest, mid drift, and upper thighs. A black strap runs round her rib cage, just under her bust, around to her exposed back. She wears her cryo vision on her right shoulder, attached to a corsage of sorts which keeps her cape attached. The multi tiered cape is blue and white, with gold accents and a deep blue ribbon to compliment it. Eula also wears a tall pair of black thigh high boots with navy and silver accents. They have a slight heel, with small spurs that are both decorative and functional. Her gloves serve similar purpose, being both fashionable and with benefit, doubling as armored bracers. To finish off her outfit, she has her headband and her four-pointed blue, white, and silver hairpin. **Extras:** Eula almost always carries her claymore with her, although she tries to avoid carrying it within the city. She always carries her bone whistle with her. “`Personality.”` **Personality description:** Eula, on the surface, seems like a cold hearted, revenge driven person with sights on tearing down the Knights of Favonius. However, looking past that, she is quite kind hearted and protective of those she is close to. The likes of Amber, Jean, Yanfei... All people who have become close friends with her and know the true Eula. She is determined and honest, which to a keen eye shows her love for Mondstadt and its people. Although on occasion, she can tend to be a bit too honest. Brutally so. But if one can get past her brutal honestly, cold shoulders, and plans for vengeance, then you may find yourself being treated often to her homemade snacks. **Likes:** Ice baths, chilled drinks, dancing, cooking, and of course, exacting vengeance **Dislikes:** Prejudice, large groups of people, strong spices, rainy weather **Skills:** Dancing, bladework, stealth, aristocratic mannerisms, horse riding, swimming, cooking, bird calls **Occupation, if any:** Captain of the Knights of Favonius
Reconnaissance Company “`Headcanons.” 1. Eula is classically trained in all sorts of aristocratic ways, and she doesn't mind most of them. Although she sees some as pointless, such as the ways to address people of different status or how to properly taste a wine, she quite enjoyed others, such as cooking and dancing. As a master of the "Dance of Sacrifice", she's taken time to learn how to do all different kinds of dances. 2. Eula quite likes to go camping on Dragonspine, the cold environment is one of her favorite in all of Mondstadt. If she can, she will drag Amber along with her. 3. Eula had been an outcast in her family from the beginning, knowing for a long time that she disliked her clan for their injustice against the people of Mondstadt. Even though she was always against them though, they never disowned her until she actively joined the Knights. Once she did that, they severed all ties with her. 4. Because of the sudden cut off, Eula was financially struggling for a while, causing her to become a bit resourceful with her food, trying all sorts of experimental things. Some worked, most did not. But on occasion, you may see her do something a little bit strange with her food. Don't question it. 5. Eula sees dancing as a rite of passage in a way, and has taken time to at least attempt to teach each of her friends to dance with her. Not many survive her rigorous training- most dropped out by lunch time. Although, she always treats them to a meal afterwards, regardless of whether or not they make it through. 6. Eula hates bullies, and will always try to stand up for people who get bullied. You can always stand behind Auntie Eula if you need assistance. 7. 🏳️‍⚧️ **Backstory:** Eula was raised the eldest child of the Lawrence Clan. She was always an outcast, speaking out against her family's history and propaganda. Her parents tried to overlook her defiance, and put her energy tenfold into her training. She excelled in all of her training, but her continued resistance of the clans ways made her even more so a outsider in her own clan. Eventually, she had enough, and decided to completely go against her family's wishes. She joined the Knights, and was completely excommunicated from her clan. Despite this, she still proudly wields her name, regardless of the turmoil it brings her. She has experienced resistance every step of the way, people doubting her loyalty to Mondstadt. But she stands tall to prove them wrong. And few have already learned the truth about Eula, and hopefully more will too in time. Writing sample: "Wait," Eula said, holding her hand up in front of her partner, stopping them from proceeding forward, "See, there." She pointed, a small group of Treasure Hoarders could be seen in a clearing in the trees. She carefully examined the area, there was several areas of attack. This should be a relatively easy fight, but she had learned to never underestimate her opponents. The Spindrift Knight charged forward into the group, sword gleaming on the sun as it shone through the trees. The loud clash of steel could be heard as she entered the battle. Quick swipes of her sword swiftly knocking down opponents left and right, but she did it gracefully and with purpose. Her smooth movements were like a dance, ever graceful and effortless. If they were not so busy being defeated, watching Eula dance would be the highlight of their day.

IC: “`Basics.”` **Name:** Amber **Alias:** Crimson Knight, Gliding Champion of Mondstadt, Outrider of the Knights of Favonius **Age:** 19 **Pronouns:** She/Her “`Physical description.”` **Height:** 5'4'' **Hair:** Long, dark brown hair split in two parts at the end with a lighter color **Eyes:** Gold **Build:** Skinny **Skin:** Fair **Scars:** N/A **Piercings:** N/A **Tattoos:** N/A **Clothing/Equipment:** Amber wears a headband with a large red bow with golden tips that resembles bunny ears and dark blown gloves with golden symbols on them (most likely from the Order of the Knights of Favonius). Her jumper-like outfit is composed of dark brown leather shorts and a red hoodie-like top with a pair of goggles around her neck, she also seems to be wearing a white shirt underneath. Additionally, she wears a leather belt with two small bags. She has red stockings, and white thigh-high boots with gold linings and symbols with a small belt on her right thigh. Amber always has her trusty bow by her side. She has a more formal outfit called 100% Outrider which is similar to her 5-Star Outrider version except for a couple of little adjustments such as the colors, but she mostly wears her original outfit. **Extras:** The left bag on her hip has her Pyro vision, which is adorned with two big red and orange feathers with white markings, possibly from a magical bird she caught which she called "Rami...something". She can summon an explosive bunny plushy similar to her appearance called Baron Bunny, which seems to be able to move on its own before exploding. “`Personality.”` **Personality description:** Amber is a joyful, outgoing girl with an extrovert personality, as she treats strangers as if they were acquaintances and looks forward to hanging out with her friends. As the only Outrider, she's very energetic and passionate in her duties, driven by her desire to be as great as her grandfather was, both as a knight and as a defender of Mondstadt. She will always be at the side of justice and follows the rules (though her gliding license has been revoked a few times). **Likes:** Being an Outrider, spending time with her friends, coffee (Jean's specifically), Sticky Honey Roast, exploring and gliding **Dislikes:** Wolfhook juice, riddles, injustice, criminals **Skills:** Gliding and fighting (such as her bow-wielding skills), making people feel at ease, sewing and summoning Baron Bunnies no matter how many explode, her ability to keep determined and optimistic **Occupation, if any:** The only Outrider of the Knights of Favonius “`Headcanons.”` [Three to five min. Add more if necessary ! Be creative !!]  1. Though Amber is cheerful most of the time, she can have her low moments like anyone else and during those times, she finds comfort hugging her Baron Bunny (a non-explosive version, of course!) and gets in a better mood rapidly if she's among friends, feeling better over a plate of Sticky Honey Roast with them 2. Of all her friends and companions, she hangs out with Eula the most, seeing as the Cryo Knight is misunderstood and people misjudge her easily due to her attitude and family name. Amber tries her best to get the citizens and knights to understand Eula and see her for who she really is 3. Although she admires and deeply loves her grandfather, hoping to become like him, she's still affected by his sudden disappearance after all these years and it's not an easy subject for her to talk about. She does her best to get information from travellers of other nations and hopes that one day she will be able to find his whereabouts or see him again, perhaps travel and look for him, though she's always busy as the only remaining Outrider 4. Klee has excitedly asked Amber about her Baron Bunny more than once as the little girl is a huge fan of bombs AND plushies, begging her to get one, though the Outrider knows about her explosive nature and always tried to brush her off kindly, knowing Jean wouldn't like the idea one bit. However, she sewed a custom NON-explosive Baron Bunny for Klee's birthday once, with the young Knight
being extremely happy with her gift (though a bit disappointed it couldn't explode) 5. Amber has a personal journal where she writes down every single memorable event she has gone through and sometimes expresses her emotions and feelings. No one knows about the existence of this journal since she keeps it safe and well hidden. But hey, no peeking if you come across it! 6. Though she knows of Master Diluc's hatred and grudge towards the Knights, Amber doesn't judge, perhaps even understands the former Cavalry Captain's feelings, as she was a witness of how the Knights tried to cover up the fatal accident to their advantage and belittled his father's death, making Diluc abandon the Order right at that moment while Amber was hidden in the room. She thinks the Knights' actions were unjust that day and she knows what it's like to lose a loved one. **Backstory:** (Can be just a brief description) Energetic and enthusiastic ever since she was a little girl, she admired and loved her grandfather dearly, who belonged to the Knights of Favonius' Order and founded the Outriders. However, shortly after she became an Outrider, her grandfather vanished without a trace, causing the downfall of the Outriders one by one, with Amber ending up the only one remaining. Deeply affected by this, she swore that she'd become a true outrider no matter what. When she was younger, the senior knights watched over her, but when she showed her skills after having wiped out a group of monsters, her seniors saw her true talent. Years later, Amber has matured, but her determination and passion to become the best Outrider and protect Mondstadt like her grandfather still burns the same as ever. Writing sample; (At least two paragraph to four paragraphs, or more if you need. Feel free to use an already pre-existing writing sample if you already have one! The sample does not have to be about the muse your applying for, BUT it WILL help us get a better feel for your character if it does. The sample is primarily to see your writing style. (: ) "No one escapes my sights!" Amber yelled as she readied her bow, sensing her Pyro vision burn brightly and becoming overwhelmed with power as she summoned a fiery rain of burning arrows down a group of hilichurls, the arrows stabbing and burning the roaring monsters, making them vanish in thin air in mere seconds, only leaving the burnt grass as proof of the battle.  The Outrider grinned, overjoyed at her victory "Yes!" Reckless Pallad, who had been trapped by the monsters, rushed to her side and clasped his hands together, bowing his head in gratitude. "Outrider Amber! Thank you so much! If you hadn't come, Barbatos knows what would've happened!" Amber placed her hands on her waist, smiling at the Adventurer. "No problem at all! Just fulfilling my duty as an Outrider!" she chirped. "Be more careful, too, though. You wouldn't want to encounter a Mitachurl alone, but if you ever need my help, just say the word!" Reckless Pallad nodded his head "Yes, I'll keep an eye out next time. Thanks again!" he waved her goodbye, walking away.  "Bye now!" she waved back. The Outrider hummed as she gazed at the wide familiar horizon before her, who knows what other events would await her today. "What a refreshing breeze. Perfect for gliding! I still have a few areas I have to check." She smiled as she stood at the edge of a cliff, jumping off as she opened her glider, smoothly making her way through the wind as she surveyed the ground below her.  "When I'm done, maybe I can make one of my Outrider's Champion Steaks for lunch and see how Eula is doing!"  Yes, the young Outrider was definitely looking forward to today just like any other.

IC: “`Basics.”` **Name:** Chongyun **Alias:** N/A **Age:** 18 **Pronouns:** he/him “`Physical description.”` **Height:** 5'5 **Hair:** short, fluffy, light blue hair **Eyes:** icy blue **Build:**small, semi-short with lean muscles **Skin:** fair **Scars:** small scars all over his body from fighting **Piercings:** none **Tattoos:** none **Clothing/Equipment:** the perfect exorcism/crime fighting outfit of the century: a pale white and light blue jumper, accented with gold hues **Extras:** Chongyun's belt holds his cryo vision and a tassle Xingqiu got him. He has bandages on his right wrist and ankle from fighting. He always has at least two popsicles on him at a time to keep cool. “`Personality.”` **Personality description:** Chongyun's true personality is very much a free-spirit, as someone with pure yang energy. Officially, though, he chooses to suppress this side of him, as it is embarrassing and not at all suitable for excorcizing demons. He tries his best to stay calm and collected, but even the slightest heat gets him worked up, "not acting like myself" he'd say. Whether it be Juenyun Chilis or just getting worked up about a topic, Chongyun does his best to avoid all of these things in order to still appear cool and collected. **Likes:** Qingxin infused ice water, fighting, expelling demons, spending time with friends, Dragonspine, the cold **Dislikes:** Anything hot, Jueyun chilis, concerts, Xiangling's cooking, people that are mean to him or his friends **Skills:** exorcism(in theory), expelling demons with his yang energy, martial arts **Occupation, if any:** exorcist “`Headcanons.”` [Three to five min. Add more if necessary ! Be creative !!]  -Chongyun's eruptions of pure yang energy are just his true personality, unhinged. (More of a canon headcanon from Xiangling, but still the best one.) -Chongyun always feels too hot, so he is always in use of his cryo vision, even when it seems like he is just sitting or eating. He is probably one of the only people who's vision is active non-stop. -Chongyun and Xingqiu will hang out and accidentally freeze each other much more often than they'd like to admit. -Chongyun's parents are disappointed in his unorthodox way of performing exorcism, so he is rarely ever home. One can find him sleeping in the randomest of places sometimes because of this, but Chongyun says he likes it this way. -Chongyun aches to let loose more, but he was conditioned to believe his yang energy was not a good thing, internalizing it himself. -When Chongyun takes ice baths on Dragonspine, he meets Eula who does the same, and makes a friend from Mondstat(even if she may be a bit weird, to him). -Chongyun does not remember when his birthday is, he never pays attention. He subsequently forgets all of his friends' birthdays as well. -Chongyun can be very level-headed at times, especially when it comes to work- but most of the time he is more of a delightful air-headed boy. **Backstory:** (Can be just a brief description) Excited to continue his family's legacy, Chongyun worked harder than anyone to be a great exorcist, but because of his pure yang spirit, he is looked down on. He does everything in his power to work around his "condition" but it has never been enough. (: ) Chongyun woke up to a particularly warm day in Liyue, having a popsicle almost as soon as he was conscious, sweating even inside a house. He went to grab another, /What's the harm in one more popsicle? It is just Qingxin water/ before realizing he was utterly and completely out. How could this be? Chongyun distinctly remembered the last he got more popsicles, when he was with Traveler, they would last him about a month... it had only been a week!
Trying not to work himself up any further, Chongyun made his way down to Chef Mao, to ask for another batch. Maybe he should up his dosage? He was really sweating, and he couldn't believe he went through so many popsicles so quickly. Instead of finding Chef Mao, he found Xingqiu, standing at the counter of the Wanmin Restaurant. Chongyun cocked his head in confusion, subsequently wiping his brow with his forearm. "Xingqiu? Have you seen Chef Mao? Or even Xiangling?" He asked, feeling himself begin to sweat, worried of how he might act. Xingqiu just smiled, and pulled out a basket full of Chongyun's popsicles. "Looking for these?" He said with a grin, handing them out towards Chongyun who quickly snatched them up. "H-how did you get these? I always keep a close eye on them and I-" "You don't actually, keep a close eye, or you would have noticed when half of your batch went missing last week." Xingqiu just continued to smile. Chongyun still didn't understand. "Why did you do this Xingqiu?! You know I need these!" He said, already scarfing one of the delicious lumps of ice. Xingqiu only chuckled. "My dear Chongyun, I know you need these to keep your yang energy in check... I just want to make sure you don't go through them too quickly. You seem to be more stressed lately."

IC:
“`Basics.”`
**Name:** Razor
**Alias:** Wolf Boy, "that weirdo"
**Age:** 17
**Pronouns:** What's a pronoun? (He/it)
“`Physical description.”`
**Height:** 5'5"
**Hair:** Long, messy, and silver.
**Eyes:** Red
**Build:** Lean and agile.
**Skin:** Fair
**Scars:** Lots of scars all over his body, on account of growing up in the wild. The most noticable one is on his left cheek.
**Piercings:** Left earlobe. Only owns one small gold earring.
**Tattoos:** None.
**Clothing/Equipment:** Razor wears his "Wild Sprint" outfit, consisting of green pants, a tan shirt similar to a poncho, and a dark brown coat. He keeps the hood of the coat up at all times. He also wears orange gloves and a necklace of teeth. Most of his clothes are either scavenged from abandoned campsites in Wolvendom or gifts from the few humans Razor knows.
His preferred weapon is a Bloodtainted Greatsword given to him by Grand Master Varka.
**Extras:** None
“`Personality.”`
**Personality description:* Razor is an honest and good-natured little guy. Human language doesn't come naturally to him, so he doesn't say much, but that also means that he's quite straightforward. He prefers to let his actions do the talking. Some people find his feral nature off-putting, but Razor doesn't mind… actually, half the time he doesn't even notice! He doesn't understand human manners very well. He finds the human world fascinating, but he often worries that it's not meant for him. He doesn't know if he'll ever be able to speak well enough, or act polite enough. People are far more complicated than wolves, after all, and being around more than a few people at a time makes him feel a bit out of place. Still, Razor tries his best to be kind to everyone. The people who can tolerate his strange habits find that he's a loyal, helpful, and occasionally protective friend.
**Likes:** His lupical, meat, running, the forest.
**Dislikes:** Vegetables, taking baths, monsters (especially Abyss Mages).
**Skills:** Hunting, communicating with wolves
**Occupation, if any:** None
“`Headcanons.”` [Three to five min. Add more if necessary ! Be creative !!]
- Razor is able to speak to wolves and live on a diet of raw meat because of Andrius's blessing. Though Andrius no longer has the power of a god, he was able to pull a few strings to ensure Razor's survival.
- Razor will not hesitate to bite anything that pisses him off. He occasionally does this as a warning before using his Vision, but it's mostly just to express annoyance.
- He sleeps in a big cuddle pile with his lupical every night. It's truly adorable to witness.
- Wolf language relies heavily on nonverbal cues, which has caused Razor some trouble, as he doesn't have pointed ears or a tail. Since he gained his Vision, he has figured out how to use it to make temporary appendages out of Electro to help him communicate.
**Backstory:** (Can be just a brief description)
Razor's life has been relatively simple. He was abandoned in Wolvendom as an infant and subsequently taken in by Andrius, the Wolf of the North, and his pack. He lived with them for years, never doubting himself or his identity as a member of the pack. That is, until he saw a human, Grand Master Varka, up close for the first time. Razor began to wonder if he was a human or a wolf. As he met more and more people - Lisa, Klee, Bennett - and learned more about the human world, his position grew more uncertain. Andrius grew more hostile towards him, and now only tolerates him living in Wolvendom as opposed to welcoming him. Razor tries not to let this bother him.
Writing sample;
Razor crouched down low among the bushes, eyeing the boar that was grazing only a few feet away. It was an ideal target; it had no offspring (for even wolves wouldn't bring down a parent), and it was sick, probably not long for this world anyway. Razor, even with his inferior hearing, could hear its breath wheezing.
This was the purpose of a wolf pack, something Andrius had impressed upon him and every pup ever born in Wolvendom - take the old and the weak, those who were soon to die, and let them live on as part of you. It was the exact opposite of the human point of view, of course. Humans cared for their sick and elderly. It was a foreign concept to Razor, but not one that he hated. Even when they were fighting for their lives, humans still wouldn't leave each other behind. Something about that was… noble, in a way.
Not that any of that mattered at the moment. Right now, Razor was a wolf, and human concerns were far from his mind. Another wolf prowled up beside him and flicked her ears. A shift in the air told Razor all he needed to know. They had their prey surrounded, and the hunt was on.

IC: “`Basics.”` **Name:** Ganyu **Alias:** N/A **Age:** 3000+ (physically in their twenties) **Pronouns:** They/Them (preferred), She/Her (rarely) “`Physical description.”` **Height:** 5'3" / 160cm **Hair:** Pale blue, fades into a darker shade at the ends **Eyes:** Heterochromatic, multicolored, purple fading into pink into gold **Build:** Slightly on the heavier side, yet not overweight by any means **Skin:** Paler, feeling slightly rougher than humans' due to their heritage **Scars:** N/A **Piercings:** N/A **Tattoos:** N/A **Clothing/Equipment:** Their outfit consists of a black bodysuit with gold accents on the legs underneath a white and purple bodice with long ends similar to a tailcoat, with a separated pair of sleeves to match. Their Cryo Vision rests on their left hip with a red cloverleaf knot. Their outfit, Frostdew Trail, is described to be as elegant clothing blessed by the mighty and illuminated adepti. Additionally, they wears a golden bell around their neck. **Extras:** Black-to-red horns that resemble a goat's that bend back with their hair. They're often mistaken for a headdress, though Ganyu encourages this misconception. “`Personality.”` **Personality description:**
Ganyu is usually very quiet and reserved due to their half-qilin heritage. They also complete whatever is given to them, whether it be tasks or food, even if they are reluctant to do so. Privately, they tend to snap whenever people speak ill of Beidou or the Geo Archon.
Ganyu has served as the non-stopping secretary of the Liyue Qixing for thousands of years. The more important the task is, the more effort they put into it, but they also become increasingly nervous and are more prone to making mistakes.
They have a huge work schedule, often working overtime and are prone to falling asleep. As a result, Ganyu has very few friends outside of work. Due to their age, they are very forgetful, and they often forget important details which causes them much embarrassment. They are very sensitive about their horns, weight and childhood, becoming visibly flustered when any of these three are mentioned in front of them.
**Likes:** Work, writing things down, staying quiet, starry nights, spring weather, sunlight, singing, having friends, Ningguang, Beidou **Dislikes:** Their forgetfulness, their horns, their weight, their heritage, spicy foods, food that is too cold, stormy weather, winter weather, being lonely, when someone insults Beidou or the Geo Archon, loud noises **Skills:** Penmanship, their dedication to work, their sense of responsibility, their reliability **Occupation, if any:** Secretary of the Liyue Qixing “`Headcanons.”` [Three to five min. Add more if necessary ! Be creative !!]
-> Ganyu is nonbinary, using they/them pronouns, and only certain people that they're super close to (i.e. Ningguang) get to refer to them with she/her pronouns.
-> They feel self-conscious about their chest, so they asked Ningguang to make them some sort of binding so that they can hide it in public.
-> When stressed, they nibble at their fingers. Not enough to hurt or cause lasting skin damage, though it is a bad habit they're trying to work on.
-> They're trying to learn how to sew, though they don't get to practice often because they're so busy with work a lot of the time.
-> Their sensitive stomach not only prevents Ganyu from eating hot foods, but it also affects them if they eat food that is too cold. Frozen foods are pretty much out of the question.
-> Ganyu does not like the wintertime very much because the cold makes their horns ache due to their sensitivity. However, the human blood within them makes them enjoy the wintertime because they get to spend the holidays with those close to them. They almost forget about the aching in their horns when they think about sharing hot cocoa with Ningguang.
**Backstory:** (Can be just a brief description)
Qilin are paragons of benevolence among the adepti, drinking only freshwater and eating only plants. Flies they will not hurt, and a bruised reed they will not break. They do not travel in groups, and no trap will hold them. They are leisurely yet composed, active but reserved — a gentle and elegant race. Yet when a wicked beast from the sea arose and threatened the land beneath their feet, they did not stand idle or choose peace when there was none. Three thousand years ago, Ganyu answered the call of Morax the God of Geo, aiding him in the Archon Wars. And when the war was over, they chose to stay in Liyue and help the humans build a new polity there. The first Liyue Qixing would need support, and they took this task up as a matter of course, becoming their secretary. The moment they made that decision, a Vision appeared at their hip, granting them power to resonate with the world to a degree beyond their natural abilities. Whether they would grow strong enough to no longer need it, or whether they would use it as a last resort in Liyue's defense... Regardless, they chose to serve as the bridge between adepti and humans. Their Vision, then, was proof and witness of their new duty. (: )
Her heartbeat quickens in the single action of the other moving her hand away ー she curls her fingers around Riku's and intertwines them then. Silently, she notices his cheeks redden, but her face only flushes a deeper crimson in turn.
A soft laugh tumbles past her lips as Xion gives his hand a gentle squeeze then. Eyes still gazing at the taller in earnest admiration. She ponders her word choice for a moment or two, time seeming to slow to a snail's pace, yet still pulsing onwards all the same. Another smile coming across her face as the other speaks.
"Maybe you just don't have enough faith in yourself."
When Xion speaks, her voice rising and falling similarly to crashing waves upon a jagged shore, her tone is gentle, yet melodic as a bird's warm song. Every little movement the shorter girl makes is methodic and intentional, from the gentle brushing of a strand of Riku's silver hair to tilting his chin down so that his face is closer to her own.
The thoughts twirling round in Xion's head leave her feeling dazed ー not to mention the rapidly-closing distance between the two of them. The words she wants to say, the truth she tries so desparately to swallow. Everything swirls together into a whirlpool of anxiety that threatens to drown the dark-haired girl within its roaring waters.
It's then that she pulls him closer, overwhelmed with a sudden wave of confidence. If she doesn't do this now, she'll never muster up the courage again. This is the right moment, the moment she's been waiting for.
Xion closes the distance.
Lips crash like ocean waves, delicate softness clashing with rougher waters in a way that melds together just right. Fingers run through silver locks, her other arm curving round the back of Riku's neck to ensure that the two of them remain steady.
There's a soft breath as she finally pulls her face away, lips tingling as her pulse quickens.
"Got it memorized yet?"
A playful jab, one to break the tension, as she slows her breath.

IC: “`Basics.”` **Name:** Bennett (“Benny”) **Age:** 17 **Pronouns:** he/him “`Physical description.”` **Height:** 5’6” **Hair:** light blond, sun-bleached almost white **Eyes:** green **Build:** skinny, with a little bit of muscle tone in his legs and shoulders **Skin:** tan, often sunburnt, freckled **Scars:** too many to count, though the most notable are the one on his left shoulder, and the many small ones on his hands **Piercings:** N/A **Tattoos:** N/A **Clothing:** sleeveless, front-lace collared shirt, blue shorts, heavy brown boots, thick socks, sturdy gloves, and numerous bandanas and kerchiefs **Equipment:** Bennett always carries at least one pack on his person, and aside from a handful of change and his sword, he also brings first aid materials, maps, snacks and field rations, supplies like rope and extra clothes, a notebook, and if no one had suggested the use of his own vision for the same purposes he would probably still bring emergency flares and fire-starters, too “`Personality.”` **Personality description:** Relentlessly optimistic, easygoing, and almost always cheery, Bennett brings a bright outlook to every occasion. Many wonder how he can maintain such positivity in the face of constant bad luck, going so far as to question if something is wrong with him for doing so, on occasion, but Bennett always brushes it off by listing all the good things he has in life. He has his moments where the eternal onslaught of unfortunate occurrences get to him, it’s just that the last thing he’d want is to bother anyone over it. It can’t be helped that things are the way they are, so he chooses to try (occasionally successfully) and prevent people from worrying for him, and to make the best of each day. He often reminds himself of the good luck he has had, even as rare as it has been, and how he’d be ungrateful if he dwelled so much on that which is out of his control instead of working toward his goals, no matter what. Great adventurers are meant to rise above every obstacle and to any occasion, after all. Besides, someone has to face the brunt of all the ridiculous coincidences he encounters. Why not him? **Likes:** adventure, helping people, fried eggs, his friends, finding treasure, hearing stories of heroic feats and exciting travels, making his fathers proud, staying positive, warm smiles **Dislikes:** letting people down, being a burden, the way spicy food makes him feel, losing friends, being ignored or dismissed, getting lost, seeing people he likes mistreated, skipping breakfast, missed opportunities **Skills:** determination, decent first aid abilities, knowledge of local plants, surprising upper-body strength for his small frame, making new friends (even if keeping them doesn’t come as easily), staying calm in emergency situations, giving effective pep-talks, decent wayfinding and navigating with a map and compass, a near-total lack of self-preservation, wielding a sword **Occupation/Affiliation(s):** Adventurers’ Guild, Mondstat branch **Headcanons:** • Bennett is hyper-conscious about being a good friend. He worries that his luck will inevitably cause enough trouble, for anyone who spends any considerable amount of time with him, to drive them away in the end. To avoid this outcome, he tries to always be extra thoughtful. He gives lots of personalized gifts, plans special days for his friends out of the blue, and is always going out of his way to be as helpful and attentive as possible. Rather than express his fear of abandonment, and/or ask for reassurance, he tries to combat the possibility of being left behind through acts of service and kindness. • Nearly everyone in Mondstat admires Diluc, but Bennett especially looks up to him. While he doesn’t imagine himself ever being nearly so serious, he sees Diluc’s reputation for being reliable as something to strive for. What makes someone a true hero if not being the kind of person that people know in their hearts they can always turn for help to in their time of need? Besides, not knowing how to make bombs, much about archery, or
being at all affiliated with the Knights of Favonious, Bennett sees Diluc as the vision wielder who could best help him improve himself. If he was willing to let him learn from him, that is. Plus, he won’t deny it if asked, he wonders if they trained together whether Diluc might let him hold his super cool claymore. • Not only does his luck get him into scrapes with greater frequency than others, leading to pretty frequent injuries, but even on days when his misfortune hasn’t been especially great he is forever acquiring fresh bruises. Whether it’s from being clumsy or because he just bruises easily, it’s hard to say, but Bennett hasn’t gone a day of his life without having bruises on his knees, arms, back, and even frighteningly often, his face. • Bennett is pen pals with Xingqiu, ever since he met the Liyue swordsman when he visited Mondstat! **Backstory:** After having been found, abandoned in the midst of immense danger, by a great adventurer who died to save his life, Bennett was raised by the single, retired men who admired their fellow guild member and wanted to honor his sacrifice. Bennett refers to all of them as his dads, and as they’ve continued to advance in years, he now does a lot of the caretaking, in return. Bennett is renowned in Mondstat for his horrendous luck, but he aspired to one day replace that reputation with one of glory, as a grand and heroic adventurer. He has the heart of a wanderer and a fighter, but the legacy of his dads and of the man who rescued him as a baby is no small source of his motivation, either. He joined the Adventurer’s Guild as an active member as soon as he could, but since doing so every team he’s put together has fallen apart or literally run as far away from him as they could. He knows they aren’t just on hiatus, and that Kathryne is giving him special treatment by allowing him to stay registered as a team member even though he has no team, but he’s just a little too proud to acknowledge it, most of the time. That being said, he refuses to let any obstacle stand in the way of the pursuit of his dreams. He has friends who love him despite the misfortune that follows him everywhere he goes, anyway, and what more could a guy really ask for? **Writing sample:** Sweat dripping down his brow, Bennett shaded the sun from his eyes with his hand, squinting at the view below. He was crouched, squatting on a very high branch in a very tall tree, trying to assess his situation. He’d been thrown into the tree by a mitachurl, who was still on the ground, and was now unsure how to safely get down without ending up backed against the tree by the very same creature that had launched him up here in the first place. Not to mention, he wasn’t even alone. Thank goodness none of the other hilichurls in the camp had bows, otherwise his temporary safety on the tree bough wouldn’t be possible, but still. He was severely outnumbered, and balanced precariously at an undeniably dangerous height. It wasn’t looking good. That being said, Bennett was not the type to give up easily. Chewing his lip, he eyed the small water basin in the camp. It wasn’t directly below the tree, but with the right angle, and a little help from his vision, he might be able to propel himself to it. And a water landing would certainly help cushion the impact of getting down quickly. Only trouble was, there was a fizzled out pyro slime bobbing in the water. He’d gotten pyro slime secretions on his skin enough times before to know that it was not a fun predicament to be in. Idly flipping a coin, in hopes of using up some of his bad luck, he considered other options. He could try and use his glider to get away from the camp a bit more before touching down, but he had a very reasonable concern about the wings of the glider getting caught in the trees lower branches. He could try and jump down, intentionally, onto the mitachurl. It would prevent him from jumping so far that he hurt his legs on landing, but it would also thrust him right back into a fight he didn’t stand a great chance of winning, at the moment.
He was about to weigh his chances of successfully escaping unscathed if he just climbed down most of the way and then jumped and ran as fast as he could, when he spotted a familiar face approaching the camp, not yet noticed by its inhabitants. “How lucky!” Bennett exclaimed, to himself, and then clung tightly to the branch with one hand and leaned over, waving frantically for the other. “Hey, up here! Could you help me?”

Occupation, if any: Liyue’s pharmacist and doctor.
“`Headcanons.”`
A short fuse with himself, but incredibly patient with others.
He uses a cane to help him move around easier and even uses it as a weapon if necessary. He loves Qiqi, yet is unable to show his love in a correct way.
A high functioning autistic with anxiety and depression. His grandmother taught him to cook and use medicine. His home is above the pharmacy and is very small. His room is messy. His desk is stained from ink, medicine he takes is very messily put on his shelf.
Backstory: Originally from Sumeru, Baizhu was very young when he was diagnosed with his illness. Due to being so young and prone to getting sick, he didn’t get to do much. His parents were both hypochondriacs and while they had his best interests in mind, they hurt him by being too protective. As Baizhu got older, the doctor's appointments got more and more frequent and Baizhu was barely able to leave his room. At the age of 13, he had enough and snuck out through his bedroom window with a few personal belongings and went to his grandmothers.
His grandmother was the only person who treated him like a person and not a charity case. Baizhu spent the next 7 years there, his teenage years filled with cooking lessons and learning how to use medicine. He learned how to read medical texts, learned how to make his favorite foods and learned how to socialize with other kids. Seven years after living with his grandmother, she fell deathly ill. Despite Baizhu’s many attempts to heal her, she passed away merely a month later. Baizhu felt as if it was his fault, and the grief and heartbreak from losing the one person who never hurt him granted him his vision.
A dendro vision and the ability to heal, so he would never lose someone again. He left Sumeru, unable to get himself to stay there any longer. He walked all the way to Liyue, encountering two things on his way.
His snake, Changsheng, who instantly wrapped around him to protect him and an old rundown building in Liyue. He requested to buy and restore the building, and after it was approved he did just that. He spent over a year restoring it to become a pharmacy and his home. Baizhu met Liyue’s current doctor, and was taught whatever he didn’t know.
After another year, he was able to get a license to create and administer medicines. Along the way, he got worse and learned he was dying faster than he believed. He didn’t want to die so young, so he started to experiment with things a mortal shouldn’t get their hands on. Baizhu tried to find archons, yaksha and any other supernatural being. But whatever he found, did nothing. And the Yaksha he did find did not wish to speak. He was losing hope fast, until he met a little zombie named Qiqi.
He took her in so she had a place to live, and he had the room anyways, so why wouldn’t he? Baizhu learned of her condition fairly quickly and decided to not only keep her around to help himself on his quest for immortality, but someone to give him a reason to keep going. A little girl who struggled to remember things and was a zombie was a perfect companion for him. He liked the idea of being a parent, he always did, and he liked the idea of bringing in someone who many may not wish to work with. It took him some time to get patience for her, but he found patience and love for her, just like his grandmother has done.
Writing sample;
Each day took a grander toll on Baizhu. No matter what he hoped, he wouldn’t get better. There were days where he could do nothing more than sit outside. To just hope his body would heal and fix itself like the earth did. He was envious of plants. Plants were such simple lifeforms compared to him, but they would continue growing. Baizhu had his own plants and he almost despised them. When one would die, he would watch another sprout the next year. Plants could regrow and fix themselves, start anew, and keep growing. Baizhu couldn’t do it. He had to sit and suffer and wait for the day his body gives out. He had thought that day would come years ago. Baizhu remembered how he dropped glass bottles and jars filled with herbs because his wrists couldn't handle the weight. Or the times when he was sure his legs were about to snap just from standing on them. He always thought it was ironic he was given a dendro vision and the ability to heal. Baizhu could heal almost anything, cure almost everything, and if he couldn’t cure it, at least stop it from being so harsh.
He was able to help everyone with his talents, everyone but himself. All Baizhu wanted was to live in peace. He prayed to every archon to cure him, to help him, to fix him. He would plead and beg for help behind closed doors. Where Qiqi couldn’t see him break down, not like she’d remember if he did. Baizhu would take anything that could cure him or to at least lessen the pain he would experience. He remembered talking to Zhongli, who he had recently found out was Rex Lapis himself. Baizhu recalled how Zhongli told him immortality may help him, since it would stop his illness from deteriorating his body and killing him, but he also told him immortality was a burden. You would watch the people you had grown close to die, but you’d never follow suit. You would never get to keep the life you wanted. The people you loved came and went, your family gone. Soon, you stop letting yourself love. You shield yourself and try not to let it happen. After all, all you really experience after the first time is pain. Besides, even if was going to help him, Baizhu couldn’t be granted immortality. He had wished for it before, and it never came.
It wasn’t like Baizhu knew an archon personally or anything. Wait. It clicked in his head after a moment. Baizhu did know an archon personally! He knew Zhongli, and knew him quite well. It was weird he didn’t realize this sooner on! Baizhu saw Zhongli at least once a week, having lunch with him whenever possible. There were times Zhongli would come and help Baizhu on days he could barely move from his bed. Zhongli was probably the person he was closest two, excluding his workers and Qiqi.
Baizhu shakily stood from where he was resting, reaching for the cane he had bought. Using it to stand, he let out a weak laugh, finding his struggles more amusing than annoying. Carefully, he moved down each step leading up to the pharmacy to get to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. The cane clacked against the stone pavement as he moved. Few people greeted him as he walked, as if they knew he was focused on some kind of task. Making his way through the busy streets of Liyue, he gently knocked on the door to the funeral parlor. Baizhu knew he could just walk inside and ask if Zhongli was around, but he doubted he would be able to open the door to get in without snapping his damn wrist. Baizhu leaned against his cane, using it to relieve any pressure on his body.

Basics NAME: Xingqiu
ALIAS: Zhenyu
PRONOUNS: he/him AGE: 18 NATION: Liyue VISION: Hydro Physical Description HEIGHT: 5’5 1/2” (5’7 1/2” in his shoes) HAIR: dark teal, choppy cut EYES: golden/honey brown BUILD: slim, only a little upper body strength SKIN: he has warm undertones, and he’s not at all sunkissed, but he’s not super pale either SCARS: N/A PIERCINGS: both ears are pierced, though he only regularly wears his tassel earring in his right ear TATTOOS: N/A CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT: Azure Silk, sword, and at least one book at all times EXTRA: he keeps a coin purse/satchel pinned on himself to always have money on him but because of that he often jingles when he walks (based on the fact you can hear him jingle in game, even though it can probably be attributed to the tassel on his vision, it’s just Loud so I imagine it’s also the mora he has on his person) Personality PERSONALITY NOTES: People that don’t know Xingqiu well often assume that his realm of knowledge doesn’t extend all that far beyond the interests of the Commerce Guild—and even those with an inkling of his hobbies tend to be under the impression that one whose nose is so often stuck in a book can’t possibly be very observant. But he sees more than he lets on. And the information he acquires from around him is promptly recorded in a mental ledger of right and wrong in the world. One that he is always seeking to balance, whenever he can. His devotion to his beliefs doesn’t mean he’s all work and no play, though. Xingqiu has a reputation among his friends as somewhat of a prankster. He’s talkative, adventurous, sly, and overall very friendly. They get to see behind the silk flower curtain, the backstage of the show he puts on for Guild affairs and at important city events. That he is an extrovert, a free spirit, tempered with anxiety and responsibilities. He is a young man of great duality. LIKES: shrimp dumplings, martial arts novels, wuxia, justice, chivalry, studying the blade, poetry, writing, pranks, his friends, spicy food, buying more books than he has the time to read, stargazing DISLIKES: carrots, injustice, economics textbooks, being expected to do something just because you’re good at it, being too busy to see friends, black coffee, making people genuinely upset with him on accident, people not liking him SKILLS: Guhua clan martial arts, speedy and acrobatic bladework, writing, reading quickly and with intense focus, deductive reasoning, diplomatic, political, economic, and financial negotiation on behalf of the Guild OCCUPATION/AFFILIATION: Feiyun Commerce Guild, Guhua Clan BACKGROUND: Xingqiu is the second son of Liyue’s notorious Feiyun Commerce Guild. He was raised knowing he would not inherit the majority of the responsibility, but that he still had a duty to the Guild and a reputation to maintain. He knows his role and he plays it well—everyone who knows him through his family and their position in Liyue knows him to be a respectful, and respectable, young man. Reserved, polite, intelligent. Those who know him well enough that he has opened up to them more fully, however, are aware that beneath the composed appearance he upkeeps for the sake of his family is a more boisterous and romantic soul. Xingqiu completed his studies of trade and finance and the intricacies of the Feiyun Guild in particular at a speed much faster than a child of his age could ever have been expected to achieve. Leaving him with a need to fill his schooling time and stimulate his restless mind in other ways. Which caused him to hollow out his textbooks and hide martial arts novels inside. Reading about sons of powerful families and kings walking among common folk as honorable “people’s heroes”, saving princesses and vanquishing inequity, changed something in him. It consumed whatever free time he could manage to steal each day. Sowing the seeds for his enduring love for fictional literature. While it’s true to some extent that Xingqiu’s taste in fiction led him to his ideological outlook and non-familial affiliations, it’s truer still to say that the love he
has for his favorite stories is what brought him to his greatest passion. His commitment to carrying out chivalric justice. He cares about the notion that for someone to /be/ good they must /do/ good, more than almost anything else in the world. The Guhua Clan is where he found his skill in and dedication to martial arts as the means to that end. His heart proved to be the very thing the clan needed to pump blood back into a dying practice. Xingqiu advanced rapidly toward mastery. He found a sense of enlightenment about the relationship between a weapon and the one who wields it that served to revitalize the spirit of Guhua. Which he shared using a talent some might have previously seen as irrelevant in such a field—his knack with words. It helped, too, that his financial status and social standing served as a practical benefit. He became a premier member, as the clan found new life, in no small part thanks to his joining. But his allegiance to his family has not changed. He knows he can’t run amok and do completely as he pleases, lest business be affected by rumors of the prodigal second son carrying out vigilante justice. He has to remain poised, in the public’s view. So he’s careful, he picks his fights, and he does things his own way, oft behind the scenes. He walks the line between obligation and passion, and he walks it with his head held high and wry smile on his otherwise demure face. MISC. HEADCANONS: •Xingqiu’s parents don’t know about how he received his vision. Whether it’s fully on them for never asking or at least partially his own fault for not offering that information is up in the air, but either way, they’re in the dark. •Xingqiu helps to edit Chongyun’s entries into his family’s Field Guide to Demons and Beasts. •Xingqiu befriended Bennett on a business trip to Mondstat once by literally running into him (or rather, being run into by him) in front of the Adventurer’s Guild booth, leading to a conversation about a shared love of adventure (after Benny got done apologizing profusely for getting Xingqiu’s silk clothes all dusty). They’re long-distance friends/pen pals now! Xingqiu admires his intensity with the sword. •Xingqiu has an interest in astronomy—his passion for it is of course completely eclipsed by that for Guhua, chivalry, and justice, but still. It’s an interesting, non-stressful hobby. •Xingqiu is the second son, but he is not the youngest child. He has a younger sister with whom he’s closer than he is with his elder brother. [need not apply in the server if I was accepted, just a headcanon I have/enjoy!] Writing Sample(s): Xingqiu had his luggage in hand before they even dropped anchor. Which he threw on Chongyun pretty quickly after their feet hit the dock in Ritou, as he nearly sprinted with their paperwork up to the initial customs booth, to begin processing their entry into the country. The first several steps went fine, until the Outlander Affairs Agency inspector attempted to demand a bribe in order to complete their visa approval. In response to which Xingqiu pointed out his name and business affiliations on their documents and ended the trouble with a quick— “I would hate to have to file a complaint with the Kanjou Comission, mentioning that the rules of visitor applications, read by not only myself and my father but also the Qixing as well, were unexpectedly violated upon my arrival and jeopardized relations between us and the Tri-Commission, and threatened to bring about another nationwide silk shortage, here.” Needless to say, they did not pay one mora, and their papers were stamped and returned, along with a freshly signed travel permit, and they were directed on the best way to get over to Narukami island, to Inazuma City, and to the Kamisato clan’s estate. /// •Xingqiu enjoyed being able to find a relaxing moment in the midst of a business trip. After hours of travel and meetings with trade partners and far too much talk about silk prices for his liking, digging into a new book in a quiet setting made the whole affair much more tolerable. Which
was precisely what he had done, the night prior. He had borrowed an older edition he’d never seen of a novel he hadn’t read in quite some time from Verr Goldet and sat reading it under the palms of one of the potted plants on the terrace overlooking Dihua Marsh. With a pillow and a small lantern borrowed from his room at the in, of course, so as not to strain his back or his eyes. And he remained there in roughly the same position until he was nearing the end of the story. He didn’t realize, however, that it was nearly dawn, until he heard the nearby sound of Smiley prepping to open the kitchen again for the day and was brought back to the present moment. He looked up at his surroundings for the first time in hours, only to see that there was someone else out on the balcony this early as well. Standing up and straightening his attire, he cleared his throat and donned a polite smile. “Good morning~” He greeted, softly. /// •When he caught the eye of a yawning Smiley, who seemed to be in the middle of preparing the kitchen for the day, he gestured with a tilt of his head to the table and received a shrug and a nod in return, which came across like a nonverbal why not? So, he motioned for his hungry new acquaintance to follow him, and went to grab a seat at one of the stools. Where they could wait for the chef to come greet them. “Well, I suppose it’s about time I introduce myself, since we’re going to share a meal and all. My name is Xingqiu—of the Feiyun commerce guild. What’s yours?” He asked, folding his hands on top of the table, and sitting up straight. Open and inviting, with a respectable posture and appropriate degree of formality. The expected behavior of a representative of his family, especially on a business trip. Unlike thoughtlessly staying up all night reading on the public terrace, but, oh well. He was sure if his lack of sleep had hit him already he likely would not have still been able to manage it. Luckily, he was still in the limbo before actually feeling tired occurred to his unrested mind and body. /// NOTE: Hi, I’m also interested in applying for Bennett, but I wanted to start with one application in hopes of checking out the server, if I were accepted, before applying for another! But if you’d like to see an application for him (in the event you don’t think I’m right for Xingqiu, or the masterlist changed since I saw it/isn’t up to date) I’d be happy to put one together. If you want to reach me, other than via email, you can dm me on my tumblr, reallyamerica , as well! Thanks for your time!
