Hello, it's been a minute since I rambled but here it goes.
Since June, I have been watching a new series, you know as Sen Çal Kapımı was coming to an end, this show just started. Let me tell you I was and still am a bingewatcher by heart so a completed show is my go to.
However, somehow I was feeling like trying. The show's called Ada Masalı, portrayed a love story this strong, passionate (and also talkative) woman named Haziran along with this reserved, at times can come as rude named Poyraz. Maybe some of you here have watched or an avid fan of the show.
It has been 14 weeks since its first episode was released, so 14 episodes there were and I am not gonna lie, it has a lot more intense drama than my previous show. Most of the times, I avoid this type of shows because I want to watch things that make me feel good but man, I somehow was drawn to watch every bits of it.
So far, this show has given me another experience. From the balance of comedy and drama that they managed to deliver so I, as an audience, can have a break between the intense scenes without losing my interest of the dramatic parts, to emphatizing the antagonists which, for me, weren't portrayed as the villains (just people with complex characteristics and sometimes harsh past) - well, up until the last episodes I have decided who are the villains in the story. Plus, offered me another portrayal of a woman from whom I can learn as I am also shaping myself as a woman too, after Eda.
And, my God, the beauty of the island really gives a whole different vibe in every scene. How the nature enhance the story as each actor gives their best to portray the role they play. So far, I am loving the show, both the story and the experience of watching it as right now, I have zero idea of how the story continues for the couple. And I kinda like the feeling of not knowing.
Just thought I shared my experience watching Ada Masalı. Who knows you might be interested in giving it a go☺
Cheers!

did not expect a laughter to come out on this week's episode
Yep, it's been a while since I popped up here and ramble all of my thoughts on this lovely show which I am proud to call it, one of my favorites.
So, 29, an episode which some of us might be curious about it, wondering where the story goes or even, just worry of the pain that we will go through as audience, watching the main character walk through the journey from square one, Serkan with his memory lost and Eda with her pain of oblivion.
Let's begin with, I never like a story with a partial memory loss happening to one of the mains, whether in novels or movies or even series. Not that its bad, but because this type of story serves me, not only sweet moments to embrace but also the painful truth to endure as I witness one character being forgotten while the other suffer to remember.
So, this episode will be the start of me, bracing myself to bawl or get my eyes watered, at least once on each episode. Well, the entire teasers got me prepared for the angst and tears between Eda and Serkan, but this show never failed to come in full package when it came with a piece of hilarity to lighten up the mood, served us again with a balanced episode to be enjoyed but also endured.
I did expect myself to cry a little bit (or a lot), but I did not see myself laughing in this episode, yet I did. From the trio of Melo, Leyla, Erdem (my goodness, that trio beats no one) to the dynamic of Engin and Pyril, it was one entertaining package deal.
However, talking about Eda and Serkan, despite the angst of Serkan's memory loss, I am really grateful that the screen writer managed to still give a bit of Serkan and Eda's quarrel like the handcuffs and the password which I find sweet in its own way. Then again, I genuinely enjoy what this show has to offer, plus I really loved it when Melo said to Eda that she needs to have a little patience in this journey, as we all too have to be patient.
I have spilled my thoughts on this episode and looking forward to next week's story, on the side, I think I know my stand on Selin and unsuprisingly, not good.

the episode I endured and learnt
I am a believer that in every series, you will have episodes which you enjoy but also episodes which you have to endure. This new episode was probably the episode that I have to endure the most.
Episode 14 somewhat repeated in a reversed roles and yet, the tears poured exactly the same way for me. Hande and Kerem managed (again and again) to resonate the pain of this break up (even when they haven't got back together) through their eyes.. MY GOD THEIR EYES🥺
But one thing that I genuinely think made this episode worth the watch was the idea of EMPATHY that we get to experience as Eda now have done what Serkan had done 14 weeks ago. As dramatic as the show was, after all it is made for TV, this show keep showing layers of story that in order to truly enjoy it, we have to dive deep into it.
Plus, Sen Çal Kapımı always balance the drama with good comedy sequences which I also found this episode, as enduring as it was, still managed to let me feel content with a little comedy between Melo, Leyla, Erdem (bless him) and Engin.

the hidden (or not so hidden) gems
episode 24: BEAUTIFUL. Regardless of the rating or even the departure of the writer from the series, this last episode of 2020 has managed to remind me the hidden (notnso hidden) gem of this show. One of the biggest reason for me to keep on watching diligently every week that Eda and Serkan's love story as the main focus lies on the small details that uet have not gone unnoticed. From the Eda Bolat coffee (LOVE❤) to the lemon water, from the way Serkan softly calmed Eda to the way Eda got back to break down her wall and JUST FEEL. All those small details weren't an 'Awwww' moment but also an 'AHA!' moment that make me feel connected as the story remained nostalgic.
Regardless of what comes next, I am utterly delighted that this show was introduced by YouTube's timeline to me and be part of the rest of my year so far. It has been amazing. So, I think they deserve a break, let them enjoy as the new year will be celebrated for all of us, including them.
p.s I do agree that the Grandma is A REAL UNIQUE being and Balca, somewhat, either obsessive or just plain dumb with all the misleading sights she saw.

If I were Eda, I would've busted Balca since day one
Before you start thinking that I dislike Balca, well I just think this character a legit villain. No question on that. And again, if I were Eda, I wouldn't, for a split second, think she's innocent. Especially now, when she actually plays with the second most important foundation in Serkan and Eda's relationship: TRUST.
Something that Serkan struggle to do and finally gets to do it when Eda came into his life. When Balca played with it, I finally understood how antagonizing her character was and will be as the story goes. For me, this episode and probably, more episodes to come, Balca presence will be a test and also a testament just how strong Serkan and Eda's relationship to overcome it. It will be plenty episodes to see that, but (please don't hate me on this) Balca's character is really good for the story. It is a solid reminder that relationship isn't just fairytales and rainbows, but also requires legit faithfulness and understanding between two people, I think both of them have had that and as an audience and fan, I am looking forward to see how the story will potray it.

another thoughts coming through, let me start with twitter was raging when the second trailer was released. well, I was quite agree when it comes the bitchy vibe that Balca gave in the trailer, but I genuinely found the fun in it. With a lot of possibilities that came in mind, I literally felt the story definitely escalated and in all honesty, I would never expect another episode 12 being repeated, no matter how sweet it was (let it belong to that episode) because in this upcoming episode, the relationship has escalated, there was a conflict trust and there's growth. The sweetness of each episode which I find amusing and delightful lies in all the small details that the set or situation provided as well as how each actor, especially Hande and Kerem really shown the emotion that let immersed myself in the situation.
So, to wrap it up, it is going to be a fun and enjoyable ride and I am in for it all the way

another thoughts on the newest episode
I have been enjoying the past five episodes, from 17 to 21. Not that I didn't enjoy the show before that, but truly these five episodes managed to entertain me completely, even though those were the time that the audience have to endure Eda and Serkan's pain, their sneaky flirtation to enraged Eda after knowing the truth. Yet, I find myself for the first time enjoying the story line entirely.
Well, people did find the highlight as the elevator was sealed (spoiler alert) with a 😘, but I wanted to point out another thing that truly, finally let me see the beauty of it. Both of them, in the kitchen, learnt the truth about what was supposed to be their dinner back in episode 20. When, they got to solve the misunderstanding with maturity, most importantly showing the power their love have for each other, BY LISTENING.
So, my thoughts on this episode is how easier their lives will be as they take this journey another chance, when they communicate and listen. Really I felt the love as they finally calmly talked honestly and listened to each other.

another thought coming through
I thought to combine my thoughts from the two episodes that I have watched but missed the shared thought I have had in mind. However, this is really an appreciation for the team of screenwriters and the crew in portraying every character beautifully and meticulously, that every character (even as angelic as Eda) have their own flaws which was shown, especially for the past couple episodes. Serkan with his lack of trust on people, Eda with her strong personality which sometimes stop herself from listening, Melo with her innocence which sometimes got her hurting, Selin with her insecurities which make her do things that are sometimes considered a bitch move and many more. All these characters represent the grey area of all of us, humans which I think it is so beautiful.
As much as I disliked the idea of Selin being a utter bitch in episode 20, the innocence and wicked move that Eda once pointed out, I can't help but symphatize her, because the truth is her insecurities got the best of her and that's what make her do things I considered bitchy. All in all, I really do feel extremely entertained for the past episodes and learnt a lot of lessons from it. That's the thought of it, you can agree to disagree. Have a greadt day

another thought as the new episode will air on Saturday: I really do not know how the TV industry works in Turkey but as the show airs on TV so the ratings decide the fate of the show, so maybe a change is needed for the story to continue.
but imagine this, after a long week of work, school, or responsibilities, you wrap yourself a blanket with a comfort of your own abode and enjoy a show that you love so much. It will be a one heck of a reward, at least for me

so i have decided to use this platform to share my thoughts on series that I am loving and watching, a Turkish show called Sen Çal Kapımı (if you haven't watched, go watch it on YouTube, won't regret it).
As both trailers (teasers) came out, I noticed this may or may not be how the truth came out (or worse, they leave us hanging right there and wait for the next episode for the answer). However, the past two episodes have been delightful and I do believe this will be another one sweet, entertaining yet powerful episode in the story. Truthfully, this show haven't failed me
