EVERYONE STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND LOOK AT THIS BEAUTIFUL CREATURE!
It’s called a Sea Bunny but it’s basically a sea slug that looks like a cute little bunny.
From what I can find about these cuties, their scientific name is Jorunna parva and they are from the gastropoda class (which is a class of slug basically) and they are from the Mollusca phylum.
Jorunna parva can be found along the coast lines of:
Korea
Japan
Palau
Philippines
Indonesia
Australia
South Africa
And more!
Jorunna parva have toxins due to the sponges they eat. These toxins are used in cancer treatments. However, Jorunna parva are e͟͟x͟͟t͟͟r͟͟e͟͟m͟͟e͟͟l͟͟y toxic to humans and any other predators who try to eat them.
Jorunna parva can be as less than an inch long (<2.5 centimeters) and normally come in yellow or orange, but the White Sea Bunny is the most popular (and cutest if I do say so myself!). Their cute little “ears” are actually sensory organs- which and sense changes in the water. Their “ears” also help them locate mates and food sources. Their “tail” (some will even call this a “flower”) is a set of gills. Their black spots are little rods- which is most likely a type of sensory organ similar to the “ears”. However, researchers are not entirely sure about this and would need to conduct further investigation.

Sadly, Jorunna parva does not have a very long life- only living for about a few months to a year. In order to make sure they have a chance to reproduce, they are hermaphrodite- or a type of animal that has both male and female reproductive systems. This makes it pretty easy to mate because all they need to do is find another Sea Bunny.
Jorunna parva were discovered back in 1938 by Kikutaro Baba, a Japanese Malacologist (or a scientist that studies mollusks). They gain popularity in Japan on Twitter back in 2015.
I really hope I covered everything! I just search up a few basic websites, which can be found here and here. Let me know if I got some of the information wrong or if you found anything interesting about Sea Bunnies!

Does anyone else just wants to create something? Like a painting or a short story or something like that. But instead of doing it you just feel so unmotivated and you dream of doing it but in reality you just don’t do it? Is it just me?
